Synopsis:
Don't confuse Being Different with those exploitational "freak show" documentaries of the 1950s. This is a sensitive--but never sentimental--study of persons whose physical deformities and mental handicaps have not stood in the way of their positive self-images or personal success. Filmmaker Harry Rasky follows these quietly courageous individuals at work and at home
