Synopsis:
In this unusual movie, told in documentary rather than a narrative style, an American professor vacationing with his French wife on an island off the coast of France follows his two-year old boy around and makes comments to the camera about his own love life, his wife's history of abandonment -- which leads to a suffocatingly close relationship with the child -- and so on
