HOLLYWOOD, Dec. 13, 2000 -- They almost made it through the disastrous breakup year that has characterized much of Y2K, but alas Jim Carrey and Renee Zellweger are just not meant to be.

Carrey, 38, and Zellweger, 31 -- who met on the set of this summer's "Me, Myself & Irene" last year during filming -- have ended their yearlong relationship, E! News Daily reported Tuesday.

Both actors' publicists have confirmed the breakup, with the actress's rep being the more vocal of the two about the matter.

"As of a couple weeks ago, Jim Carrey and Renée Zellweger are no longer in a relationship," publicist Leslie Sloan told E!.

Just last month, the now ex-couple were still practically glued to each other during the "Dr. Seuss' How the Grinch Stole Christmas" premiere in Universal City, Calif.

Zellweger, however, was without Carrey at Tuesday's Fire and Ice Ba

A confidant of actress Lauren Holly has told the New York Post that Holly thinks she's with child, which would be her first. Holly (TV's Picket Fences, Dumb & Dumber, Any Given Sunday) recently returned from her honeymoon in Bali after tying the knot with investment broker Francis Greco and legally changing her name to Lauren Greco. The marriage is Holly's third; actors Jim Carrey and Danny Quinn are her ex-husbands.

HOLLYWOOD, March 11, 2001 -- Never underestimate the power of love.

Actress Lauren Holly, last seen in the Mel Gibson hit "What Women Want," has wed Toronto-born investment banker Francis Greco, the Toronto Sun reported.

This is Holly's third marriage, her most notable nuptials were with comedian Jim Carrey, whom she met on the set of "Dumb and Dumber" in 1994. Their on-again, off-again relationship was well documented in the tabloids. Her first marriage to Anthony Quinn's son, Danny, lasted from 1991-93.

The ceremony was held Saturday at Toronto's Holy Rosary Church.

Holly, who also starred in "Any Given Sunday" (1999) and "Turbulence" (1996), recently starred as Ethel Kennedy in the NBC mini-series, "Jackie, Ethel and Joan -- The Women of Camelot."

PASADENA Calif., July 20, 2000 - Substance reigned over style as NBC unveiled its new Fall lineup to the media this week. Gone were the matching color schemes and meals by the pool that ABC employed to fete reporters just a few days ago; in their stead, there were neon peacocks and buffet trays with sternos. And the consensus among critics at the Ritz-Carlton Hotel was that ABC surely hung window dressing on everything because it only had four new series to pump. NBC, on the other hand, needed no frills to roll out seven new series and two miniseries.

Not surprisingly, the Q-and-A sessions were shorter, with less time for breathing in between. Trashy dramatist Aaron Spelling unveiled his high-camp "Titans," a Dallas-for-the-millennium evening soap with vixens, sex and greed, and starring Yasmine Bleeth, Casper Van Dien ("Sleepy Hollow") and Victoria Principal. Critics broke into

HOLLYWOOD, Sept. 8, 2000 -- Lil’ Kim is a double, well, um, winner. No, she didn’t win at the 2000 MTV Video Music Awards.

People magazine has bestowed two titles on the diva rapper: the year’s worst dressed AND the year’s least dressed.

Joining Kim on the worst-dressed list were teen diva Christina Aguilera, “Ally McBeal” co-stars Portia De Rossi and Lucy Liu, Jennifer Love Hewitt, Lara Flynn Boyle, Lauren Holly, Renee Zellweger and Bebe Neuwirth.

A lone male joined the unsightly women: Bruce Willis.

Jennifer Lopez Joining Kim in wearing barely nothing this year (or the new category of least dressed), says People, were Halle Berry, fond of showing off her thong-th-thong-thong-thong, and Jennifer Lopez, fond of showing off everything else.

Well, enough bad news about badly dressed stars.

HOLLYWOOD, June 2, 2000 -- Heather Graham's long list of ex-boyfriends just got longer. The actress' publicist confirms today that the 30-year-old "Austin Powers" star has split with her boyfriend of two years, Hollywood multi-hyphenate Edward Burns ("Saving Private Ryan").

No reason for the split was given. The breakup was termed "amicable" by Graham's camp.

Graham and Burns were particularly notorious on the celebrity circuit for public displays of affection, in general, and appearing joined at the lips, in specific.

Certainly, though, Graham is no stranger to the breakup. Ex-beaus include: James Woods, Kyle MacLachlan, actor Elias Koteas and her "Lost in Space" director Stephen Hopkins.

Burns, 32, who wrote, directed and starred in his own breakout vehicle, 1995's "The Brothers McMullen", previously was linked to Maxine Bahns, his "McMullen" leading la

SANTA MONICA, Calif., Feb. 23, 2000 -- Jodie Foster's played an English schoolteacher, an FBI agent and a rocket scientist. Now she'll stretch further as a one-legged nun in "The Dangerous Lives of Altar Boys."

Reports today say the two-time Oscar winner has agreed to play a supporting role in the $15-20 million film for Initial Entertainment Group. She'll also produce.

Shooting's scheduled to begin May 1. Commercial director Peter Care will helm the script by Jeff Stockwell and Michael Petroni. Based on Chris Fuhrman's novel, the story's about a group of Catholic youths who get caught drawing an obscene comic book. Next, they outdo themselves by planning a heist that will make them legends.

NOW, STOP ASKING! The speculation is over. (Really.) Steven Spielberg has officially said thanks but no thanks to Warner Bros.' "Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone" -- the

BEVERLY HILLS -- By now, you'd figure that Jim Carrey would be used to being attacked. Attacked by harsh critics. Attacked by autograph-seeking fans. Attacked by ex-wife Lauren Holly (alimony, anyone?). Still, he looked stunned and confused when Las Vegas singer Tony Clifton, dressed in full lounge lizard regalia, attacked him Saturday.

Carrey was responding to questions during a press conference for his upcoming Universal biopic "Man on the Moon" (named for the hit REM song) about the life of comedian Andy Kaufman. Clifton spray painted "Tony on the Moon" on the walls of the elegant Four Seasons Hotel in Beverly Hills after making his way through a crowd of confused reporters. He voiced his contempt for the actor/comedian who he referred to as Drew Carey. Drew Carey?

Clifton then confronted Jim Carrey and defiantly poured water over the head of the star who earns up to
