ROLE CALL: Danes in 'Love'
HOLLYWOOD, Jan. 3, 2001 -- Claire Danes has found love.
"The Mod Squad" and "My So-Called Life" actress has signed on to Danish director Thomas Vinterberg's "It's All About Love" -- the follow-up to his Cannes-winning first feature "The Celebration" in 1999, Daily Variety says.
Penned by Vinterberg, the script story follows a married couple as they try to salvage their relationship. Shooting of the film begins in April.
Danes was previously working on "Flora Plum," a film helmed by Jodie Foster and starring Russell Crowe. The project is currently on hold due to a shoulder injury sustained by Crowe.
RAY OF 'IRON': Actor Ray Park, or better known as Darth Maul in "Star Wars: Episode I -- The Phantom Menace," will personify the title hero in the big screen adaptation of the comic book "Iron Fist," Variety says.

THE COMING BOX OFFICE WEEKEND (MAY 12-14 AND SUMMER):
DreamWorks' "Gladiator" should be victorious again on the box office battlefield this weekend.
With "Gladiator" still commanding a 30% first-choice tracking score among opening and released movies, there's little doubt the R-rated action adventure will keep a tight grip on the top spot.
If "Gladiator" slips 36% from its $34.8 million opening, its second weekend tribute will still be a handsome sum of about $22 million.
DreamWorks is distributing "Gladiator" domestically, while Universal is releasing it internationally. The two studios co-financed the film, which reportedly cost $103 million to make, and are 50-50 partners, sharing equally in its success.
Directed by Ridley Scott, it stars Russell Crowe.
