Rose McGowan's entrance on Charmed is now official: she's the long-lost sister of the original trio of siblings. The WB has confirmed that McGowan will take Shannen Doherty's place on the three-year-old show, Reuters reports. Doherty announced last month that she would be leaving the show because her "work went unappreciated." McGowan starred in the teen flick Jawbreaker, and will join Alyssa Milano and Holly Marie Combs on the show.

HOLLYWOOD, Jan. 19, 2001 -- He might say that he is the Antichrist Superstar, but Marilyn Manson certainly is not immune to matters of the heart.
The shock rocker and his "Jawbreaker" actress gal pal Rose McGowan have broken off their engagement and called it quits, McGowan's publicist confirmed Thursday.
"There is great love, but our lifestyle difference is, unfortunately, even greater," McGowan said in a brief statement.
McGowan, 27, and Manson, 32, were engaged two years ago and were together for about a year before that.
COMING TOGETHER: In (reportedly) happier news: The New York Daily News is saying that Christy Turlington and director-actor Edward Burns are engaged. Its source? A "close" friend of Turlington, who told the tab that the model is wearing a big engagement ring.

HOLLYWOOD, Jan. 31, 2001 -- Satanic rocker Marilyn Manson is about to lick an 'everlasting gobstopper.' Manson, recently separated from actress Rose McGowen, is set to star in a remake of the classic children's movie "Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory."
Manson has told London's Sun newspaper, "I really see the movie as a metaphor. I see Willy Wonka as Satan because he presents people with the temptation of picking good and evil, and they all pick evil.
"Willy Wonka is one of my favorite movies, and I think I can play that role like no one else." That's for sure!
This latest version from Warner Brothers will be directed by Tim Burton, who gave us "Edward Scissorhands" and "Batman."
The controversial singer says those who condemn his act should give him a chance as the new R-rated Wonka.

HOLLYWOOD, July 5, 2000 -- Anything to keep Sisqo from making another "Thong Song." Variety reports today that the erstwhile Dru Hill member turned soloist has signed with Miramax for his first major film role.
The film, a teenybopper romantic comedy titled "Getting Over Alison," will have Sisqo play the best friend of a high school b-ball player (Ben Foster) who’s trying to win back his girlfriend (Kirsten Dunst).
In order to do the flick, the 22-year-old singer has quit as the opening act to world-dominating boyband 'N Sync’s U.S. tour.
ROAD CRUSIN’: "Road Trip’s" Breckin Meyer will move to the small screen for his next project, a comedy pilot called "The Near Future" for HBO.
