HOLLYWOOD, Jan. 17, 2001 -- Michael Cuccione, the actor/singer who played Jason “Q.T.” McKnight on MTV’s boy band spoof "2gether," died Saturday at his home in Vancouver, B.C. Cuccione was 16.

Cuccione, aka “the cute one” of 2gether had battled Hodgkin’s disease since he was a child, according to MTV.com. Doctors said that he died of complications with his cancer treatment.

"His lungs just gave out," his uncle, also named Michael Cuccione, told MTV. "We weren't really expecting it."

Cuccione had been fighting respiratory problems for several months and did not appear in the last several episodes of the MTV series.

"He fought gallantly," Michael's mother, Gloria, told ABCNews.com. The teen had been in a car accident in December and was unable to fight off the effects of the crash. He contracted pneumonia, but his lungs were weakened from the chemotherapy he

Dec. 23, 2000 -- Madonna and Guy Ritchie have finally tied the knot.

Avoiding the hundreds-strong media pack, the couple took their solemn vows and exchanged rings in front of family and friends on Friday night, the Rev. Susan Brown, who presided over the ceremony, confirmed today.

It is believed that the couple wed at 6:30 p.m. London time.

Many guests arrived at Skibo Castle in Dornoch, Scotland, after dark, covering their faces. Brad Pitt, George Clooney, Bryan Adams and Elton John were reportedly invited to join the celebration, but some reports said that Pitt and John were unable to attend due to scheduling conflicts.

The marriage of the Queen of Pop and the British director has been reported on daily up to the actual nuptials, but strategic planning has ensured that Madonna would keep her big day private.

2001-The race is going be tight this year.

As the TV season winds down and moves into the May sweeps, the major networks are duking it out for those coveted No. 1 spots, especially in the adults 18-49 group that advertisers love and the ego-boosting title of the most-watched network. This kind of tight primetime competition hasn't been seen in the TV arena in many years, but the reality TV explosion has truly changed the landscape and kept network execs on their toes.

HOLLYWOOD, Dec. 20, 2000 -- The media just want to get a peek at Madonna. But the pop star’s security guards want to take a peek under her guests’ kilts.

Photographers, cameramen and reporters from all over the world have already begun to set up camp in the sleepy Scottish town of Dornoch for what will be the biggest celebrity wedding of the year, Reuters reports. The Queen of Pop is scheduled to marry British filmmaker Guy Ritchie (“Lock Stock and Two Smoking Barrels”) at Skibo castle on Friday.

But the media frenzy is expected to start going into overdrive Thursday when the couple will christen their 3-month-old baby, Rocco.

Security is said to be extremely tight, with rumors going around saying that the pop star’s security guards will be checking under Scotsmen’s kilts as they enter the castle to keep those pesky hidden cameras at bay.

HOLLYWOOD, Dec. 7, 2000 -- It's official: The Queen of Music has found her king.

Reuters reports today that superstar Madonna and her man Guy Ritchie will indeed get holy matrimonial -- as various tabloid reports have rumored in recent weeks -- at the Dornoch Cathedral in Scotland on Dec. 22.

So how, pray tell, did us the news people come across that confirmation?

Apparently, just by heading over to the Registrar's Office in Dornoch, Scotland, where the names of the "Music" maker and the "Snatch" helmer are posted on a roster of upcoming marriage licensees for all to see.

According to the report, Madonna, 42, might wear a gown by Stella McCartney while Ritchie, 32, would go the traditional route with a kilt. It is also said that Madonna's 4-year-old daughter Lourdes is expected to be a bridesmaid.

HOLLYWOOD, Dec. 1, 2000 - Was it a lighthearted spectacle or an award show? Thursday's inaugural My VH1 Music Awards was a little of both.

It really didn't matter, to some, who actually won as much as the hijinks that took place on stage at L.A.'s Shrine Auditorium. Red Hot Chili Peppers bassist, Flea, walked onto the stage on his hands donning a punker T-shirt and later spit into the camera, Reuters reports.

When Latin pop star Ricky Martin wasn't available to accept an award, an actor with a huge pink foam buttocks over his head accepted it for him. And check out some of the categories: Booty Shake (Ricky Martin won, who else?), Most Entertaining Public Feud (Eminem won for his fallouts with his wife and mom), Your Song Kicked Ass But Played Too Damn Much (Santana for "Smooth"), Legend in Action (Sting) and Sexxxiest Video (Faith Hill for "Breathe").

Is Guy Ritchie really going to make an honest woman out of Madonna?

That's what the rumor mills are saying at least.

The British tabloid the Sun says today that the Queen of Music is reportedly planning a wedding extravaganza, budgeted at $1.6 million, at the Dornoch Cathedral in Scotland for Dec. 22, with a post-matrimonial shindig at the neighboring Skibo Castle.

And while they're at the holy site, the couple reportedly might also christen their 4-month-old offspring Rocco at the ceremony, so the tab says.

Skibo Castle has been a favorite spot for celebrity weddings, with patrons such as actors Ewan McGregor and Robert Carlyle. The picturesque location was also rumored to be the wedding ground for Hollywood power couple Michael Douglas and Catherine Zeta-Jones, who, of course, wed in New York instead.

HOLLYWOOD, Sept. 20, 2000 -- Diamonds really are a girl’s best friend. Just ask Madonna. Marriage, on the other hand, is another matter.

The Queen of Music is delighted about the large diamond ring she was given by her boyfriend, British director Guy Ritchie.

“I had absolutely no idea,” Madonna told US Weekly in an interview to be published Friday. “I never liked big rocks on my finger. Well, I do now.”

But queried about whether a holiday wedding was in the cards, as predicted by British tabloids, Madonna replied: “I wouldn’t say it’s an engagement ring, at least not right now. We talk about marriage, but we can’t decide whether it’s something that’s necessary.”

Ritchie, 31, gave Madonna the rock on the day she came home with new baby Rocco, also the same day as Madonna’s 42nd birthday.

SANTA MONICA, Calif., March 31, 2000 -- Today on "Fun with Celebrity Motorists": Catherine Zeta-Jones is being sued by a woman who says she was a passenger in the actress's car when said actress crashed said car near Pacific Palisades, Calif., in August. The said passenger -- one Petra Von Oelffen -- suffered unspecified injuries and is seeking unspecified damages in the lawsuit filed Monday in court here.

The Zeta-Jones incident is not to be confused with the Halle Berry incident. (Or incidents?)

The latest word on the Berry case is that "The Flintstones" star -- under investigation for a suspected hit-and-run accident in West Hollywood, Calif., last month -- is also under investigation for other hit-and-run crashes in Chicago and Cleveland.
