    HOLLYWOOD, Nov. 21, 2000 -- After looting the box office this summer with "Gladiator," helmer Ridley Scott is about to do the same thing on the high seas. Daily Variety is reporting that the lauded director will direct Disney's "Captain Kidd," an adventure tale based on the life of the notorious 17th century pirate. The project will be produced by Jerry Bruckheimer and will be written by "Double Jeopardy" scribes Doug Cook and David Weisberg. Scott has just finished wrapping "Hannibal," the sequ
