As a movie, World Trade Center is a decent Hollywood drama. Unfortunately, in many ways and for many people, that’s what this particular story among stories, this legacy, will now be relegated to. But at least now when we hear the joke “America needs a film to help put 9/11 behind us,” we have a punch line.

Great sexpectations, nothing more: Despite potboiler moments, Basic Instinct 2 is much more fizzle than sizzle and arrives much too long after the once racy original. We can only hope that Sly uses this as his Rocky VI cautionary tale.

If The Life of David Gale were a novel, it would be the kind of $6.99 paperback murder mystery you buy in the airport before a long flight. It's entertaining, but a little thin.
