Julia Roberts' half-sister was consumed by depression brought on by family angst when she chose to end her life in February (14), according to the suicide note she left for her fiance.
Nancy Motes, 37, passed away after taking a drug overdose and now, in a bitter handwritten note obtained by editors at MailOnline.com, she's pointing the finger at family members.
She wrote, "My mother and siblings drove me into the deepest depression. I've suffered thru (sic) this disease all my life, however it has never been this bad. I burst into tears every morning (because) I woke up."
The Los Angeles County coroner ruled Motes killed herself by taking a variety of drugs.
Her body was discovered on 9 February (14) by her fiance, John Dilbeck. Calling him her "one true love", she wrote, "I know this will effect (sic) you the most & I can't apologize enough. I was truly blessed & lucky to have you as my true love and best friend. I will carry you with me forever."

She said, "There aren't words to explain what any of us have been through in these last 20 days. It's hour by hour some days, but you just keep looking ahead."
"You don't want anything bad to happen to anyone, but there are so many tragic, painful, inexplicable things in the world. But (as with) any situation of challenge and despair, we must find a way, as a family. It's so hard to formulate a sentence about it outside the weepy huddle of my family."

A source tells Britain's Daily Mail that Roberts attended the emotional event with her mother Betty Lou and sister Lisa, and gave a speech to guests, in which she paid tribute to Motes.
The source says, "No one was really expecting it, but Julia gave a little speech at one point during the ceremony. She kept it brief, but it was absolutely heartfelt and very moving. It showed just how much Nancy meant to her and was really fitting."
Roberts was seen comforting other mourners before heading to a nearby hotel for a wake.

However, Roberts has found one way to deal with her grief after finding peace through meditation, something she has introduced to her three young children. She adds, "Meditation or chanting or any of those things can be so joyous and also very quieting.We share and just say, 'This is a way I comfort myself'."

Motes and Dilbeck became engaged last year (13) and were planning to wed in 2014.

Los Angeles County Coroner representative Lieutenant Fred Corralis released a new statement about the death on Monday.
It reads: "Nancy Motes was found dead at a residence in the bathroom yesterday, pronounced dead by the LA Fire Department at 2:12pm yesterday. Not sure whose residence it was. She was found in a bathtub that had water in it. We're taking it as a suicide, not a drowning. She's being examined today. We are waiting for the doctor to provide his findings.
"There were prescription and non-prescription drugs found at the scene. Cannot tell you what those drugs were. The role the drugs may or may not have played is not yet known. The investigator at the scene listed at this point that he is going with suicide and we are waiting for the doctor to finish the examination. We haven't gotten anything yet."
