The Bones star confessed to cheating on his wife Jaime Bergman with Tiger Woods' alleged mistress Rachel Uchitel last year (10).
He seemingly hinted that the affair had made his marriage stronger, allegedly telling Australia's TV Week, "(The affair turned into) a bonding experience, in the long run... In a sacred ground like marriage, you find yourself out of it at certain times for reasons unknown that can be destructive. There could be a demon that kind of comes out and overtakes you... Do I believe in giving up? No, I don't. I'm a fighter. I'm a lover."
His remarks caught the interest of bosses at AshleyMadison.com - an online dating service for people who are already in relationships - who offered him a $250,000 (£156,000) deal to become the company's spokesperson.
However, Boreanaz's publicist insists the actor would never consider the offer, because his comments about his affair were "taken out of context" during a press conference for his hit TV show.
The rep tells E! Online, "This is an absurd story and not an opportunity that would ever be entertained. David did not talk directly to TV Week. His recent quotes were from a press conference on behalf of Bones and taken out of context."
The Bones star confessed he had cheated on his wife Jaime Bergman with Tiger Woods' alleged mistress Rachel Uchitel last year (10), and recently admitted the affair actually made his marriage better, because the couple fought to save their relationship.
His admission has attracted the attention of bosses at AshleyMadison.com - an online dating service for people who are already in relationships.
They are now offering Boreanaz a big cash deal to become the celebrity face of the website.
CEO Noel Biderman tells E! Online, "People enter into affairs to save their marriage, and Mr. Boreanaz had the courage to admit that. The rest of the cheaters in Hollywood - there is no shortage on AshleyMadison, but we are not naming names - might also find this kind of confession liberating."
I know that my world is far different than a celebrity's, but I've always thought cheating was kinda frowned upon. Call me old fashioned, but I was under the impression that those types of things tended to end marriages rather than help them. But according to Bones star, David Boreanaz, his affair actually made his marriage stronger. The actor came clean about cheating on his wife, Jaime Bergman (former Playboy Playmate) with Rachel Uchitel in May 2010 and recently told TV Week his affair was "a bonding experience, in the long run." He went on to explain, "In a sacred ground like marriage, you find yourself out of it at certain times for reasons unknown that can be destructive. There could be a demon that kind of comes out and overtakes you." So just to be clear -- it wasn't his fault that he cheated because a demon made him do it.
The couple wed in November 2001, just nine months after they met during a Valentine's Day party at the Playboy Mansion (where all true love happens) and now have two kids together: a son Jaden, who is 9 years old, and a daughter Bella, who is 2. Although they've had their rocky moments, the actor is not looking to throw in the towel just yet, stating, "Do I believe in giving up? No, I don't. I'm a fighter. I'm a lover." Yeah, exactly. I think that's what got him into trouble in the first place.

Last year (10), the Buffy The Vampire Slayer star confessed to cheating on his longterm partner, former Playboy Playmate Jaime Bergman, with an unnamed woman, who was later revealed to be Tiger Woods' alleged mistress Rachel Uchitel.
Boreanaz and Bergman, who have two children together, enrolled in marriage counselling following the actor's admission and fought to keep the relationship intact, and the star now reveals they are closer than ever.
He tells TV Week, "(The affair turned into) a bonding experience, in the long run... In a sacred ground like marriage, you find yourself out of it at certain times for reasons unknown that can be destructive. There could be a demon that kind of comes out and overtakes you... Do I believe in giving up? No, I don't. I'm a fighter. I'm a lover."
The couple married in 2001, and is parents to son Jaden, nine, and daughter Bella, two.
Actress Kristina Hagan went public with her allegations against the former Buffy The Vampire Slayer star last July (10), a year after Boreanaz reportedly made a series of unwanted sexual advances towards her.
In her legal papers, she claimed Boreanaz's bad behaviour included sending "inappropriate text messages", masturbating in front of her and attempting to "kiss her and touch her breasts".
She sued for damages from both Boreanaz and his TV bosses at Fox for the "emotional and psychological distress" she suffered as a result of the unwanted sexual interest, as well as lost earnings.
At the time of the lawsuit, Boreanaz was battling to save his marriage to Jaime Bergman after confessing to an affair, but his lawyer Marty Singer slammed Hagan's claims, branding them "totally fabricated and absurd".
However, the actor can now put the scandal firmly behind him after reaching a settlement with Hagan and her attorney, Gloria Allred, according to TMZ.com.
Details of the deal are confidential.
The Bones star and his actress wife Jaime Bergman bought the house earlier this summer (10), but the couple is struggling to settle in because their bed mysteriously shifts in the middle of the night.
He explains, "We're not too sure. We woke up in the middle of the night and we heard this big bang. It felt like the bed literally fell off underneath us. My first instinct is, we're having an earthquake... turns out, it wasn't an earthquake.
"Cut to two weeks later, same thing happens. It's like something picked our bed up... so Jaime and I think ghosts are here."
Actress Kristina Hagan has filed suit against the former Buffy The Vampire Slayer star alleging he made a series of unwanted sexual advances towards her last year (09) while they worked on the programme together.
She claims Boreanaz's alleged bad behaviour included sending "inappropriate text messages", masturbating in front of her and attempting to "kiss her and touch her breasts".
Hagan claims she suffered "emotional and psychological distress" as well as lost earnings as a result of the alleged incidents involving the actor.
But Boreanaz's representative is adamant Hagan's lawsuit is completely without merit.
A statement released to Access Hollywood reads, "The allegations concerning any alleged inappropriate conduct by David Boreanaz are totally fabricated and absurd. There is no validity to this lawsuit."
The actor is currently undergoing counselling sessions with his wife Jaime Bergman in a bid to save their marriage after he recently confessed to an affair.
Kristina Hagan has hired top celebrity lawyer Gloria Allred to represent her, and accuses Boreanaz of sending her "sexually inappropriate text messages" in August 2009, when they began filming the crime drama together.
According to the legal papers, obtained by TMZ.com, Hagan shared a car ride with the former Buffy The Vampire Slayer star last September (09) and told her he was "the boss" and could "make things happen for her".
The suit goes on to claim that Boreanaz parked the car and "attempted to kiss her and touch her breasts", only for the actress to push him away.
But her refusal to engage in Boreanaz's allegedly bad behaviour didn't stop the star from continuing - he reportedly "unzipped his pants, pulled out his penis and began stroking it until he ejaculated".
He is said to have repeated his actions in another incident that month, when he is claimed to have fondled Hagan in his trailer before he "masturbated in front of her".
Hagan has also named bosses at the Fox network and the production company behind Bones in the suit, claiming they failed to take preventative action against the star's behaviour.
Boreanaz has yet to comment on the reports.
The legal action will do little to help Boreanaz's efforts to salvage his marriage to former Playboy Playmate Jaime Bergman - the couple is in counselling after he confessed to cheating on his wife of nine years.
The actor revealed in May (10) that he had been unfaithful after a former mistress threatened to go public with their affair.
The star, 37, wed Cornelius Grobbelaar in August, 2006 but the couple officially split on 7 May (10).
Caulfield has since moved to make the separation official after citing irreconcilable differences in legal papers filed last week (ends14May10) at Los Angeles Superior Court.
The actress is the second former Buffy castmember whose marriage has hit the headlines in recent weeks - earlier this month (May10), David Boreanaz confessed to cheating on his wife of nine years, Jaime Bergman, with an anonymous mistress.
The other woman has since been revealed as nightclub hostess Rachel Uchitel - one of the many women linked to disgraced golfer Tiger Woods during his affair scandal.
The Angel star recently confessed to cheating on his ex-Playboy Playmate wife Jaime Bergman with an unnamed woman, and admitted he was forced to come clean about the affair after his mistress threatened to sell her story to the media.
Online gossips named Uchitel - the woman who sparked the Woods affair scandal - as Boreanaz's mistress, but she initially refuted the claims, stating, "I am not in communication with him and do not wish to be. I have made no claims against him and do not plan to assert any."
But, after a string of angry texts allegedly sent between the pair were leaked online, Uchitel's lawyer Gloria Allred has revealed her client did have a relationship with the TV hunk, and claims the star "treated her as his girlfriend" during their torrid romance.
A statement from Allred reads, "(Rachel) understood that he (Boreanaz) was unhappy in his marriage and had been for some time and she had reason to believe that he intended to separate from his wife.
"He treated her as his girlfriend and also took her out in public. He called her between takes when he was taping his television show and put her on the telephone with his friends and his son. He even stayed with Ms. Uchitel when he came to New York for press tours."
And Allred insists her client ended the relationship because "she felt that he had not been completely truthful with her and she no longer trusted him."
Bergman, who has two children with Boreanaz, recently revealed her personal pain after hearing of her husband's infidelities. She said, "I'm still angry. I'm still mad. I am still hurt. It took a crisis, it took infidelity to get us off our a**es and work for what we want."
The couple is fighting to save the marriage.
On May 3, 2010, Bergman's husband revealed to People magazine that he had been unfaithful to his wife of nearly nine years. David Boreanaz came forward because a former mistress, whom he declines to name, contacted an attorney and threatened to contact media outlets.
