Sir Patrick Stewart has wed for the third time. The veteran actor married jazz singer Sunny Ozell on Sunday (08Sep13) and took to Twitter.com to share the happy news.
The Brit tweeted a photo of himself and his beaming bride lying in a colourful ball pit, along with the simple caption, "Yes, married."
His pal and X-Men co-star Sir Ian McKellen was on hand to officiate the ceremony.
In a post on his Facebook.com page, Sir Ian wrote, "I did my part," and uploaded a snapshot of himself holding up a T-shirt reading 'Minister' and the newlyweds' marriage certificate.
The 73-year-old star has been dating Ozell, 35, since they met at New York's Brooklyn Academy of Music five years ago (08).
He was two adult children from his 24-year marriage to Sheila Falconer and he was with his second wife, Star Trek: Voyager producer Wendy Neuss, from 2000 to 2003.
Actor Patrick Stewart, that 60-year-old "Star Trek" icon, made it official over the weekend by getting hitched to longtime fiancee Wendy Neuss. "Star Trek: The Next Generation" co-star Brent Spiner served as Jean-Luc Picard’s best man at the ceremony Saturday in the City of Angels.
The couple met on the set of "Star Trek," where Neuss, 39, served as a production assistant.
Stewart, who this summer starred in the blockbuster "X-Men," was previously married to choreographer Sheila Falconer. The couple was wed from 1966 to 1990 and has two children, Daniel and Sophie.
There was no word on where the newlyweds plan to honeymoon.
A safe bet, though, is not in outer space.
