Veteran actress Eileen Davidson is set to join her former Days Of Our Lives co-star Lisa Rinna on U.S. reality TV show The Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills. Rinna, who is married to Mad Men star Harry Hamlin, was recently confirmed as a new castmember for the upcoming fifth season of the popular programme, and now Davidson has been reported as the latest famous face to sign up for the series, according to UsMagazine.com.
The 55 year old is married to Rock 'n' Roll High School actor Vince Van Patten.
She and Rinna will appear alongside the likes of models Yolanda Foster and Brandi Glanville and actress Kyle Richards in the show, which follows a group of high-profile women living in the glitzy California neighbourhood.
Actress Lisa Rinna is returning to reality TV to join the cast of U.S. series The Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills. The former Melrose Place star is to have her luxurious celebrity life filmed for the upcoming fifth season of the popular programme, according to E! News.
Rinna joins the likes of models Yolanda Foster and Brandi Glanville and actress Kyle Richards in the show, which follows seven women living in the glitzy California neighbourhood.
Rinna previously appeared on her own docu-series with her Mad Men star husband Harry Hamlin, called Harry Loves Lisa, and she also competed on two seasons of Donald Trump's Celebrity Apprentice.
What did Real Housewives of Beverly Hills' final reunion show teach us? Apparently what they say is true: all you need to do is say "I'm sorry." Yawn.
Most of the arguing centered around Lisa and Brandi. Brandi, your husband is remarried and yes, Scheana works for Lisa. Get over it or get off the show. We felt bad for you in the beginning, but now we’re tired of your tears. And sure, they can't fire Scheana for sleeping with Eddie years ago, but they don’t have to invite her to the same parties as Brandi so she can show off her new engagement ring. We see right through your British accent, Lisa — money doesn’t buy class, try and get some. Either way, she apologized, said that seeing Brandi sad made her sad, and we're sure the two will be friends again next season (as long as Lisa doesn't go dress shopping with Scheana).
Lisa also saw the power of "I'm sorry" with Kyle because after going back and forth about whether bringing up the tabloids was right or wrong for about 15 minutes (and the whole season), the whole situation was seemingly rectified by an apology. Lisa, you can say you were bringing up the cheating rumors to "diminish it" over and over again but every time we watch you tell Ken that you can't be 100% sure of anything so they could be true, we see bad intentions and a bad friend.
The highlight of the show: Giggy. We love you, Giggy and your pilgrim outfit. As for you, Ken... we couldn’t care less. You can apologize, say you like Brandi, claim that didn’t mean what you said after seeing her cry, but you’re just as boring as the rest of the crew. Call the girls stupid, call them pretty, as long as you keep bringing Jiggy, we’ll allow you to continue on the show.
Who will continue on to the next season of Real Housewives of Beverly Hills? Well, we don’t know that yet, but we're betting that all the girls, minus one witch of L.A., will grace the screen with their presence...
We open with a montage of the girls' exercise routines throughout the series. We have to hear Joyce say, again, that she doesn’t exercise frequently and eats whatever she wants. We wonder why her plate has always been full of food?
The first question for the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills reunion show comes from Santa Monica and involves plastic surgery. The girls seem to answer honestly. Until the host calls Brandi out for having bigger cheeks every time he sees her, which she bashfully denies. We’d like to know why she sounded as though her wisdom teeth had been removed throughout the entire series? Dental surgery gone wrong?
Carlton has apparently used witchcraft her entire life. Light, dark, fun, not so fun. We revisit the Bee murder; was it really Kyle who killed it? Yes, was there ever a question? No. But is Kyle a hypocrite? Hmmm...
Kim and Lisa finally have it out. As much as we don’t want to, we somewhat favor Kim. Brandi and Joyce go head to head. As much as we don’t want to, we favor Joyce. Yolanda continues to take Brandi’s side and upsell her perfect model daughter. Gag.
The reunion has more excitement and drama than all the episodes combined. Ditch Carlton next season, add a little more of Jiggy, improve our opinion of Lisa, and cut Joyce’s hair, than we’ll be happy.
We’d like to say this week's episode of Real Housewives of Beverly Hills packs as much punch as last week's, but unfortunately, this is not the case. It seems the girls, even with the alienation of Lisa, can’t give us what we need.
Lisa and Ken leave Puerto Rico before the start of the next day, making another argument out of the question. The remainder of the girls get along fabulously, in the way they always do after they collectively decide one of them has been a lying b**ch.
Vacation can’t last forever, no matter how rich or famous you are. Kim and Yolanda go to opposite sides of the country to drop their daughters off at college. Yolanda heads to New York and Kim drives down to San Diego.
But where is Carlton? We hear your cries, fellow fans! Carlton has been helping Lisa feel less abandoned with her advice on mean girls, as well as continuing the ritual of picking her children up from school every day. When we woke up from our boredom-induced sleep we realized the episode was almost over.
The highlight? Brandi’s average looking parents met Yolanda and her husband David. And what did Brandi do for her father on his birthday? Other than tell the entire country how intimated and insecure being around wealth makes him. She bought them a new car.
Predictions-Kyle’s daughter loses her first big girl earring.-Lisa buys Kyle’s daughter a beautiful real diamond earring.-Kim buys an apartment and moves to San Diego.-Carlton casts a spell on the entire cast of Housewives. They become nice girls who don’t wear make up or high heeled shoes and volunteer for the Peace Corps.
Before we get to the juicy details of whether or not Carlton actually cast a spell on Joyce, let’s run through the terrifically boring beginning of this week's The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills episode. Lisa and Kyle meet to plan Ken and Maurico’s joint birthday party. Kyle is adamant that they throw a much more elegant party than Carlton just had — no naked women painted in gold!
Brandi’s new book is about to come out, so the episode features a cover shoot, which, of course, is just her in a bright pink dress looking Brandi fabulous. Her awesomely assertive book editor is there directing the shoot — thank the lords above.
Joyce invites Carlton to lunch and — SURPRISE — Carlton says she didn’t cast a spell on Joyce or her family. Or did she? All we heard Carlton say was that she used to practice black magic, she’s back on the white magic, and Joyce better not bring up children and magic again. "Don’t you f**king dare," were Carlton’s words. As if Joyce would ever dare! They agree to start all over — for the 14th time in 14 episodes — and Carlton says she thinks Joyce is actually a nice girl... as opposed to Kyle, who is horrendous.
Yolanda and Kim get ready for their daughters to leave for college. Yolanda convinces Gigi to pack her winter coats because she won’t need them, and Kim convinces her daughter to get a butterfly tattoo, because that’s what Kim wants to be when she dies.
It’s time for the black tie party at Lisa’s. For a split second there was a tinge of jealousy as we saw the sweeping surroundings of Lisa’s beautiful home but than, in walks Brandi and Scheana and we are instantly reminded of the price you pay to have everything you could ever dream of.
The party seems to be going well, no fights until dinnertime. Carlton is getting irritated with Kyle (you can see it on her face), and unless Kyle is playing a really good game, she has no idea. Carlton finally loses it when Kyle brings up her and Lisa’s inside joke about the nipple, which started the whole Carlton-doesn’t-like-Kyle deal in the first place.
Kyle thought everything was over between them, especially after she gave Carlton her necklace on the last episode, but apparently, Carlton has been soaking that necklace in water to remove Kyle’s negative energy from it. Words explode, Carlton says "Don’t you f**king dare" for the second time in one episode. Even after Kyle moves to the other side of the table, Carlton decides to leave. Lisa tries to follow her out and explain that Kyle isn’t truly evil, but Carlton won’t hear it.
Brandi joins team Kyle for the first time in ages, and honestly, we are leaning towards her side also. Quite frankly, when did Lisa become such an instigator?
Brandi’s book editor doesn’t approve the preview — thousands of copies are printed with Brandi holding a toilet plunger and wearing large wire-rimmed glasses.
Carlton inadvertently casts a spell on herself, causing a loss in orange skin tone and an inability to hold onto black eye makeup. She looks stunning as a real human being.
The group starts to see Lisa as the instigator that she’s becoming.
We start the show at Carlton’s risqué annual pool party. This is the first time she has had a party with the girls and her goal is to impress. Everyone is surprised with the naked girls painted silver and gold, but nobody seems offended. Lisa found the party and the gift bags distasteful, but she didn’t seem angry about it. The only person who actually got angry was Carlton, at Kyle. Carlton was showing off her new tattoo and Kyle’s first reaction was, “Is that the Jewish star?!”
Of course it pissed Carlton off because Kyle never respects her religion, which is Wiccan, in case you weren’t clear. But the girls pulled it together, Carlton noticed a necklace on Kyle and complimented it and than Kyle took it off and handed it right over. Carlton’s opinion of Kyle is momentarily changed.
Kim wasn’t at the party, she was at a convention for celebrities who have fans and can’t explain why. She takes this chance to thank her ‘fans’ for their help in getting and keeping her sober.
Yolanda’s daughter Gigi is preparing to leave for college and Yolanda is sad, she wants Gigi to leave with a positive memory of her life on the West coast. She invites the girls over to make paintings similar to the ones hanging in her kitchen, and at the last minute Lisa calls and cancels. This upsets Yolanda, she thinks that Lisa should have called the night before. It’s hard not to agree with Yolanda here. Even though we love Lisa, and she can usually do no wrong, she did throw a fit earlier this season when Carlton bailed on her dinner party last minute.
Joyce and Carlton arrive to Yolanda’s and they are about to carry the wine upstairs but the girls agree they’re not going to drink. Joyce makes an off-color remark about waiting for Brandi to arrive to bring up the bottle and Carlton immediately jumps in, correcting Joyce and telling her not to judge Brandi. Joyce backed down quickly when she realized neither of the girls were going to laugh behind their best friend's back. Go Carlton!
The girls walk up the stairs to Yolanda’s hill top terrace and when Brandi arrives they start painting. Carlton brings up the question of whether or not Kyle actually likes her, and Joyce tells her to go ahead and ask Kyle- who is missing because she has a guest spot on Days of Our Lives. Carlton brings up spells and Joyce makes the comment that spells only work on those people who believe in them.
Carltons’s reaction: Just wait ‘til you go home Joyce, and we’ll see what happens. And surprisingly enough, the following day we see Joyce tell Kim that her husband got violently ill. Not sick like a normal person would get sick, but sick like something was really wrong with him. Can we say, for the second time, go Carlton!
Carlton casts another spell on Joyce - she drinks herself into Brandi’s normal state of consciousness - FINALLY.
Kim marries one of her fans from her convention, he is also sober.
Lisa apologizes to Yolanda and all is right in the world of our two favorite housewives.
We can’t help but wonder why the Housewives are acting so desperate this year. Seems as the season progresses, the more clothes come off. The show opens at Carlton’s with a half-naked woman who knows how to pole dance. (Not to be mistaken with the previous episode.) We understand that the drama this season hasn’t been as fun, interesting, or pretty much anything at all, but how many more episodes are going to open with women adorned in accessories and their birthday suits? Can the folks at Bravo really believe this is what the 18-49 FEMALE viewers want? (Hats off to ATL which has been killing it in the drama department.)
As we move from the barely-there intro, we follow Brandi and Yolanda to Sacramento for Brandi’s book signing, and also her dad’s birthday. He’s been upset with her since the release of her book. She called him a drug dealer when in fact he was a marijuana grower -- big difference -- totally worth abandoning your daughter in her desperate time of need. It gives us some insight into her early support of gay rights; not exactly what the book is known for, but a breath of fresh air that we'll gladly take.
Joyce decides to learn the art of self-defense and invites all of the girls along. Brandi arrives just after Joyce, and we hold our breath in anticipation, but absolutely nothing happens. It’s as though they’re old friends. Carlton gets into the ring first, and to nobody’s surprise, she is a bad ass bi**h. Her punch is harder than the coach's. Lisa follows, wearing nothing but a pink sports bra. (That woman is more attractive in her sports bra than all the young women at Carlton’s house in scene 1.) We're not surprised.
Kyle does surprise us by giving Brandi a card to let her know that she’s there for her. They go to lunch and Brandi insists to Lisa and Kyle that she is fine, but Lisa can see through it, she knows Brandi is a big fat - well, neither big nor fat - liar.
Brandi’s hand is broken. She meets and marries her hand doctor. She is never alone again.
Carlton casts a spell on Joyce, and her hair falls out.
Yolanda remains the same - perfect.
Kim cries about a mundane event in one of her children's lives.
Kyle cries over Kim.
The real housewives of Beverly Hills starts where we last saw them, at Sur, with Brandi and Joyce still yelling at each other. When the show begins though, Brandi’s curses turn to tears and Yolanda escorts her out of the restaurant. Joyce continues to talk trash about Brandi, calling her a bully over and over, but the entire crew sticks up for her.
Kinglsey comes home to Kim, he knows how to sit, lay, and breathe out of a muzzle. Kingsley 1, Kim 0.
Joyce and Kyle go golfing, Joyce figures out Brandi 3 steps- 1. She plans her attack, 2. She throws out the f-bomb, and 3. She cries to get the sympathy. But Joyce doesn’t feel any sympathy towards her. If Brandi says hi to Joyce, she will recognize her, but if Brandi ignores her, Joyce will ignore her right back! Take that Brandi!
Yolanda goes to Brandi’s house, not to criticize, but to assist. Brandi confesses her hard times, missing her puppy, missing her children, having issues with her husband, but Yolanda strongly states that using the f word is not an attractive way for Brandi to communicate her issues.
Carlton and her husband go to the tattoo shop, where she gets a pentagram with her kids name in their handwriting tattooed on the back of her neck. More importantly, she calls herself a pus**y for complaining about the pain.
Lisa, of course, is all business, going shopping for her new restaurant. Why is it so hard to not be in love with her?
Brandi brings her black friend to Kyle’s charity event, we’re not saying it, but if we were, we’d say thank God she’s not actually racist. They arrive to Kyle’s shop before Joyce, and when Joyce finally arrives we see Brandi’s heart rate literally rise. They avoid conflict even when in the same dressing room.
Jamie Lee Curtis presents Kyle with the First Family award. Kyle and her husband donated $100,000 to the Children’s Hospital in Los Angeles. We also find out that Kyle worked with Jamie Lee Curtis on Halloween.
Lisa invites Joyce to her home, and Joyce actually goes. Lisa’s opinion of Joyce has slowly shifted through out the season, she now tells us that she thinks Joyce isn’t a bad girl, that they got off to the wrong start.
And just like that, our opinion of Lisa begins to shift, downward.
Kyle’s acting career begins to move forward with her role in Halloween 12:Michael vs. Lisa Vanderpump
Brandi punches Joyce in the face and Joyce’s mask flies off, revealing she is in fact Brandi’s ex-husband.
Kinglsey learns to cook breakfast for Kim and her children. Kingsley 2, Kim 0.
This week on our beloved Beverly Hills Housewives, Carlton takes her husband and her mother-in-law to Hustler in Hollywood. It’s actually creepier than it sounds. She fits her skinny figure into a bikini made for a 21 year old, and gives her mother-in-law a lap dance. While sitting next to her husband. Sorry Carlton, not even your ridiculously toned body can make that ok.
Kim watches Kingsley’s new videotape and than proceeds to go the Long Beach Grand Prix. That is all.
Brandi, Joyce and their skinny ‘friends’ try on clothes at Kyle’s boutique for Kyle’s ‘fashion show.’ Kyle gets visibly upset when the clothes literally fall off Brandi and Joyce, maybe if one girl was one size above a zero the two could actually get along. But instead of reveling in their thinness together Joyce has to quote herself, ‘You can never be too thin, too rich, or too sexy.’ Immediately, we jump away from team Joyce. Come on Brandi, where are those fangs.
Enter Lisa. She invites everyone to her restaurant to put the past behind them and start fresh. Insert sigh and overly exaggerated eye roll. How many times do we have to watch these girls start fresh over the plates of never-been-touched food and empty glasses of booze.
Joyce arrives 45 minutes late with her black mane down, we can’t help but wonder what her face actually looks like. Brandi doesn’t say much to her, and vice versa. But than they sit for the meal. Joyce brings up Brandi being a bully and Brandi -- per usual -- stands up for herself and shows obvious irritation. What is unusual this time though, is that Brandi’s words are not slurring, and aside from a couple f-bombs, she is finally making sense.
Joyce is an attention whore with a slightly overweight man-child for a husband. Is Brandi really in the wrong for pointing that out? We don’t think so. We do agree, Brandi shouldn’t have told him to go back to wherever he’s from, what if he takes Joyce? Who will we have to ridicule come Monday night? None of the other housewives are misbehaving. Take it easy Brandi, let’s not drive away the driving force of the show!
Kingsley gets adopted by the trainer because Kim realizes how much fun life is without any children.
The clothes fall off Brandi at Kyle’s fashion show but Joyce pops a button, so they become best friends.
Carlton shoots a sex video with her mother-in-law; her husband is the cameraman.
