Singer-turned-reality TV star Kelly Osbourne is expanding her beauty and fashion resume by teaming up with her mother Sharon to launch a new collection for MAC Cosmetics. The pair will follow in the footsteps of Rihanna and Lady Gaga by creating their own make-up line for the leading brand, with plans to unveil the product range this summer (14).
Newly-single Kelly is keeping herself busy following her split from fiance Matthew Mosshart.
Rock matriarch and reality TV regular Sharon Osbourne is glad her daughter Kelly didn't rush down the aisle after becoming engaged to chef Matthew Mosshart last year (13) - because it was important for the couple to test their relationship first. The singer-turned-reality TV star announced she had broken off her relationship with the vegan chef on Wednesday (08Jan14), a year after accepting his proposal, and her mum is grateful her daughter isn't getting divorced.
Sharon insists the former couple will remain close after both parties realised they weren't ready for marriage.
Addressing the break-up news on her U.S. chat show The Talk on Thursday (09Jan14), Osbourne said, "I can't talk for my daughter (but) Matthew is a lovely guy. They had two great years together of fun and love and for me, that's why engagements are so important...
"They are a test run (for marriage), aren't they? And so it didn't work for whatever reason, but they are still good friends and will continue to be; it's just not right for them right now."
And she then made light of her daughter's dating life, adding, "Let the auditions begin!"
Kelly Osbourne, 29, met the chef at Kate Moss' 2011 wedding - Mosshart's sister Alison is a bandmate of the British supermodel's husband, rocker Jamie Hince.
She was previously engaged to wed model Luke Worrall.
Kelly Osbourne and chef Matthew Mosshart have ended their engagement a year after he proposed to the singer-turned-TV personality. A representative for Ozzy and Sharon Osbourne's daughter has confirmed the news in a statement to Us Weekly magazine, revealing the couple has also split.
She says, "The split is amicable and the pair continue to have nothing but the utmost respect for one another.
"Kelly is looking forward to a new year full of fresh beginnings. No further comments will be provided by all parties (sic) and we request privacy, decorum and space from the press but don't expect it."
The couple met at Kate Moss' 2011 wedding - Mosshart's sister Alison is a bandmate of the British model's husband Jamie Hince. Osbourne became engaged over New Year 12 months ago following a holiday proposal.
The 29 year old said, "I've never felt this close to another human being, ever... We just want to be together all the time."
She hinted that all was not well in her personal life in a tweet on 8 January (14), which read: "It's all about perception. Sometimes the bad things that happen in life aren't really bad at all especially when you learn something from it!"
Osbourne was previously engaged to wed model Luke Worrall.
Kelly Osbourne has apologised for her angry response to Lady Gaga's birthday cake peace offering. The two women have been tangled in a public feud since Osbourne was bullied online by some of Lady Gaga's fans, prompting the Bad Romance singer to pen a message to her former pal in January (13) criticising her part in U.S. show Fashion Police.
Sharon Osbourne fuelled the war of words when she jumped to her daughter's defence and branded Gaga an attention seeker, but the two appeared to have settled their differences when The X Factor judge gave the pop star a standing ovation following her performance on the U.K. version of the TV talent show on Sunday (27Oct13),
The singer then presented the rock manager with a cake for her daughter, who celebrated her birthday on Sunday (27Oct13), but Kelly spurned the peace offering with an angry tweet, writing, "Not to be ungrateful but why would you send me a birthday cake via my MOTHER in a country half the would away? #JustSendItToME #LoveNotWar EatMyS**t #Hypocrisy."
But Osbourne has now backtracked and apologised for her response, admitting it was childish and insisting she is eager to end the feud with Gaga.
She took to Twitter.com on Monday evening (28Oct13) to write, "@ladygaga I acted like a child last night. Just not into publicity stunts call me & we will end this like adults I dont want 2 (to) fight anymore."
Kelly Osbourne is refusing to back down in her feud with Lady Gaga despite the pop star commissioning a cake in celebration of her 29th birthday. The pair has been embroiled in a war of words since Osbourne was bullied by some of Gaga's devoted fans, prompting the Bad Romance singer to write an online note to her pal in January (13) criticising her role on U.S. series Fashion Police.
The row was further fuelled by Kelly's mother Sharon Osbourne, who lashed out at Gaga and branded her an "attention seeker".
The singer performed on the U.K. version of The X Factor on Sunday night (27Oct13), and received a standing ovation from Sharon, who sits as a judge on the show. The rock manager revealed they had sorted out their differences backstage.

"I like desert, but i prefer the truth... it's sweeter."
Heavy metal icon Ozzy Osbourne has joined the celebrity Taylor Swift fan club after becoming captivated by her beauty and talent during a run-in in Los Angeles over the weekend (28-29Sep13). The Black Sabbath frontman was shopping with his wife Sharon on Sunday (29Sep13) when they bumped into the 23-year-old country superstar and struck up a conversation.
Sharon reveals it was Ozzy's first time meeting Swift and he was instantly enamoured with her, even comparing the singer to legendary Hollywood stars Grace Kelly and Audrey Hepburn.
Explaining the meeting on her U.S. daytime show The Talk on Tuesday (01Oct13), Sharon Osbourne said, "My husband doesn't say anything about anyone - he knows who Taylor Swift is, he knows her music, but he's never met her before, and he was so blown away with her beauty and the aura that she projects, he said to me, 'I have finally met somebody that I can say is a true superstar.' He said, 'She reminds me of Grace Kelly or Audrey Hepburn.' He called her the most magnificent young girl he's met in his lifetime. He was so blown away by her."
Sharon Osbourne has talked her daughter Kelly out of plans to sue a U.S. magazine following new reports suggesting they have fallen out over the singer-turned-TV personality's upcoming wedding plans. Sources tell the new issue of Star magazine that Sharon has turned into a bride-to-be's worst nightmare after taking over planning for Kelly's big day, adding she is refusing to accommodate her daughter's requests as she prepares to wed vegan chef Matthew Mosshart at the family's U.K. home next summer (14).
The insiders claim the mother and daughter duo have been fighting over everything from the location of the wedding to the food served at the reception, with a source telling the publication, "Kelly is at her wit's end with her mother. She's feuding with Sharon over the tiniest details of her wedding!"
Kelly Osbourne was quick to blast the allegations on her Twitter.com blog on Wednesday morning (11Sep13), writing, "WTF (what the f**k) is wrong with people why would I ever been at war with my own mother? Some publications really must be having a slow week!!!!"
Sharon also addressed the claims on her U.S. daytime show The Talk on Wednesday (11Sep13), dismissing the story as "ridiculous".
The rock matriarch also revealed that her daughter was eager to take legal action against Star, but she advised her otherwise.
She said, "(The story) is that much rubbish I can use it to pick up the dog crap... Kelly's getting married exactly where she wants to get married, and the food is the food that Kelly wants and that's it. Just because I'm arranging it, she has an even busier life than I do, so I can work with the caterer, I can work with the party planner, it cuts that away from her.
"It's just ridiculous. And Kelly called me this morning, she's in New York, and she said, 'Mummy, I'm suing!' I'm like, 'Oh, don't waste you're time or your money, forget it!'"
Caring Kelly Osbourne spent four months sleeping on a floor beside her dad Ozzy's bed after the rocker cheated death in a quad bike accident. The Black Sabbath frontman was lucky to escape alive when he crashed the vehicle while riding it around the grounds of his U.K. home in 2003, breaking eight ribs, his collar bone, and a bone in his neck.
Osbourne spent months recuperating from his injuries, and daughter Kelly - who nursed her mother Sharon through a cancer battle the previous year (02) - has revealed she was her father's full-time carer as he was temporarily paralysed from the waist down.
She even joined him in the shower by making sure they both wore swimsuits to preserve their modesty.
Kelly tells Cosmopolitan magazine, "He couldn't move from the neck down and was basically a paraplegic, so I slept on the floor by the side of his bed for four months. I brushed his teeth and washed his clothes, and every day we'd put on our swimsuits and I'd shower him. Not many people can say they've wiped their mother and father's a**es more than they've wiped their own."
Sharon Osbourne once locked her daughter Kelly in a padded cell in a desperate bid to scare her into giving up drugs. The 28-year-old reality TV star battled drug addiction for many years and checked into rehab seven times in an attempt to curb her behaviour.
Kelly admits her parents, Sharon and Ozzy, went to extreme lengths to stop her drug taking, but it wasn't until her mother was diagnosed with cancer that she decided to turn her life around.
She tells Britain's Cosmopolitan magazine, "I've been to rehab seven times and to two mental institutions. My mum even had me put in a padded cell once to scare me, but like a brat I just sat it out until she said, 'Well, that's not going to work.'
"But what I've learnt is that no amount of therapy or medication is going to work unless you want it to. Until you want to be a good person, you will never be one. What changed for me was looking around and seeing that nobody liked me or wanted to work with me...
"(When my mother was diagnosed with cancer) I was faced with the choice of a career or spending what could have been the last days of my mother's life with her. I said, 'F**k you, career, hello, Mother'. I became my mum's nurse 24/7. I thought I was going to lose her - it was awful."
Sharon, 60, won her battle against colon cancer in 2003.
