As we eagerly await (wait, wait, wait) the distant release date of Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, why not rewatch some of the Harry Potter films? Which one was your favorite? Here are ours, ranked worst to best.
Sorcerer's Stone/Chamber of Secrets
Both so bad they don't even deserve their own ranking.
Order of the Phoenix
Many name Order of the Phoenix as their least favorite book – Harry's angrily depressed for a good portion of the story, and that's not exactly fun for the readers. A lot of that dementor-y angstiness carries over to the film, which doesn't make for the best cinematic experience. Quibbles aside, we can all agree that Imelda Staunton was the perfect Umbridge.
Goblet of Fire
This one gets a lot of hate (they did cut out a lot of the best moments), but I don't know; the awkwardness of the whole Yule Ball debacle kind of saves it for me. Oh, and the adorable Beauxbatons hats.
Deathly Hallows Part I
People say that Deathly Hallows is basically Harry Potter and the Never-ending Camping Trip. Which, okay, it kind of is. But I think the marriage between the book and the movie worked well here – even though Daniel Radcliffe/Emma Watson's chemistry had everyone clamoring for a rewrite of the Hermione/Ron storyline.
Half-Blood Prince was awesome, right? Right? ::crickets:: At least JKR's got my back (it was reportedly her favorite of the first six). I loved the balance of humor and darkness in this one. The Felix Felicis scene? Daniel Radcliffe at this best. And the extra material that Rowling added about Professor Slughorn's remembrances of Lily Evans? Absolutely beautiful.
Deathly Hallows Part II
A just conclusion for a franchise that went on for roughly a decade – it certainly went out on a bang (well, a bang followed up by that infamously bad epilogue, anyway).
Prisoner of Azkaban
Prisoner of Azkaban was such a breath of fresh air after the first two butcheries, was it not? Many hail it as the film that saved the franchise – it finally captured the humor of the books, and the Harry/stag patronus scene continues to get me time after time. And honestly, the entire time turner sequence made for some popcorn poppin' cinema.
Eminem led the winners at the 2013 Mtv Europe Music Awards in Amsterdam, Holland, on Sunday (10Nov13), taking home two awards and securing his lead as the artist with the most EMAs ever. The rapper won the Best Hip Hop prize and was awarded the the Global Icon trophy for his continued success over the last decade. He has now won 15 MTV EMAs - more than anyone else.
He also took to the stage to perform Berzerk and Rap God before Will Ferrell, dressed as his Anchorman character Ron Burgundy, presented him with his Global Icon accolade.
Justin Timberlake and Macklemore & Ryan Lewis had led nominations ahead of the ceremony, but Timberlake went home empty handed, while the hitmaking duo had to make do with the prize for Best New Act.
Miley Cyrus stole the spotlight during the ceremony - the former Hannah Montana star performed twice, opening the event with a rendition of her We Can't Stop hit accompanied by a leather-clad little person, who she groped and spanked. Miley then returned to the stage for an impassioned performance of Wrecking Ball, which won her the Best Video award.
Her pal Katy Perry scooped the award for Best Female and performed her new track Unconditionally, while and absent Justin Bieber was named Best Male for the second year in a row. He accepted his award via a video link from South America, where he is currently on tour.
Other performance highlights came from Kings Of Leon, The Killers, Icona Pop, Robin Thicke, Snoop Dogg, Katy Perry and Bruno Mars.
Will Ferrell's Ron Burgundy character appeared in a number of skits throughout the night, guiding the viewers around Amsterdam with a canal trip accompanied by Daft Punk lookalikes and making a confused visit to the city's famous red light district.
LMFAO star Redfoo hosted the evening and donned nine different costumes, including one which appeared to be edible.

Harry Styles and Tokio Hotel were early winners at the Mtv Europe Music Awards on Sunday (10Nov13) after picking up honours on the pre-show red carpet. Dizzee Rascal and Ellie Goulding were recruited to help unveil the night's first award winners and announced Styles had claimed the Best Look trophy, beating off competition from Justin Timberlake, Lady Gaga, Rihanna and Rita Ora. Meanwhile, Tokio Hotel claimed the Best Fan award.
Neither of the winners were on hand to accept their awards.
The big show is currently taking place in Amsterdam, Holland. Miley Cyrus, Eminem and The Killers are among the acts who will be performing and Justin Timberlake and Macklemore & Ryan Lewis lead this year's nominations with five apiece.
Jeff Daniels had little time to celebrate his Emmy Awards win on Sunday (23Sep13) because he had to get straight to work on the forthcoming Dumb And Dumber sequel. The actor was the surprise winner of the Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series trophy for his part in The Newsroom, beating out competition from strong contenders like Jon Hamm, Bryan Cranston, Kevin Spacey, Damian Lewis and Hugh Bonneville.
But Daniels couldn't stay out too late partying in Hollywood as he had to be in Atlanta, Georgia, on Monday morning (23Sep13) to start shooting Dumb And Dumber To.
Daniels is reprising his role as hapless Harry Dunne in the follow-up to the hit 1994 comedy, and he promises fans his onscreen reunion with his co-star Jim Carrey will be worth the wait - even though he faces a shock to the system after playing cerebral newsman Will McAvoy on The Newsroom.
He says, "The intellectual free fall from Will McAvoy down to Harry Dunne is going to be jarring! There are some things that we're going to do in Dumb and Dumber To that make the toilet scene (in the first film) seem lame. (It) pales in comparison and I can't divulge what, but just that they've topped it. They best thing about it? I get to work with a comedic genius."
Sir Bob Geldof has been awarded the Freedom of the City of London. The Boomtown Rats star was presented with the coveted accolade during a ceremony at the Guildhall in the British capital on Monday (16Sep13), in recognition of his career success and his extensive humanitarian work, particularly for his efforts in Africa.
The Irish singer, who is already a freeman of the city of Dublin, was instrumental in staging the U.K. leg of Live Aid at Wembley Stadium in London in 1985 to raise funds to combat the Ethiopian famine.
Geldof is the latest celebrity to receive the honour - Dame Judi Dench, Diana, Princess of Wales, Harry Potter author J.K. Rowling, Sir Michael Caine and Damian Lewis have also previously been feted.
Damian Lewis' actress wife Helen Mccrory refuses to watch her husband in Homeland because she finds his portrayal of a tortured Iraq war veteran "too disturbing". The British actor plays an American soldier who returns home after spending several years as a hostage in the Middle East, and Harry Potter star McCrory admits she finds the scenes of violence and torture extremely upsetting.
She says, "I haven't actually seen the old Homeland because it is really distressing, and people say is that because, you know, of the love scenes and everything? But it is... not so much the love scenes, it's when he is bashed to death on the floor and urinated on by a guard. That is the bit I have a problem with, watching your husband doing that, however much he says it is just acting."
"I'm still alive. To the blonde girl chasing with a sign around 11 miles - thank you! Made... me laugh." Harry Potter star Matthew Lewis completed Britain's most famous half-marathon, The Great North Run, on Sunday (15Sep13).
Harry Potter star Matthew Lewis spent a decade sporting unsightly crooked teeth because film bosses ordered him not to undergo cosmetic dentistry. The British actor played geeky Neville Longbottom in all eight of the wizard movies after being cast in the role as a child, and he has now revealed he was instructed not to let his dentist fit him with a brace in order to help keep him in character.
Lewis, now 24, finally had his teeth fixed after completing work on the final film, 2011's Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows - Part 2.
He tells Britain's Independent on Sunday he hated living with "pretty bad teeth" for so long, adding, "I had to go for 10 f**king years without having anything done."
The actor, who is now unrecognisable as the pudgy young boy from the films, admits studio bosses also put him in a "fat suit" and ordered him to wear false teeth when they realised he was outgrowing his geeky look.
He adds, "When we got to film three, and I'd got quite tall and slimmed out a bit, they decided they were uncomfortable with that, and thought, 'No, we need to make him a bit geeky looking', or geekier, I should say. So they put me in a fat suit and false teeth...
"Looking back on it, it doesn't really bother me at all, but at the time, when you're going through puberty and you're on a film set with a lot of attractive girls... and you have to wear this fat suit, and have this long, greasy hair... it was rubbish. It was really rubbish."
The Twilight Saga and its cast were the toast of the Teen Choice Awards on Sunday (11Aug13) after scooping seven trophies for the franchise's fifth and final movie. The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 2 landed the Choice Movie: Sci-Fi/Fantasy prize and Choice Movie Actress: Sci-Fi/Fantasy for Kristen Stewart while her co-star Taylor Lautner picked up the male equivalent.
Stewart also took home the award for Choice Movie Actress: Romance while her leading man and ex-boyfriend Robert Pattinson scooped the male version. The movie was also awarded the Choice Movie: Romance prize among others.
In the TV categories, Pretty Little Liars and The Vampire Diaries each picked up three awards in the Drama and Fantasy/Sci-Fi categories, respectively.
The Vampire Diaries co-stars and former real life couple Ian Somerhalder and Nina Dobrev were both honoured at the prizegiving, winning the award for Choice TV Actor/Actress: Fantasy/Sci-Fi.
The cast of Glee took to the stage to pick up the Choice TV Series: Comedy award and series star Lea Michele, who also took home the Choice TV Actress: Comedy prize, paid tribute to her boyfriend and co-star Cory Monteith, who passed away last month (Jul13).
In the music categories, Justin Bieber took three awards including Choice Male Artist, while Demi Lovato picked up the female equivalent.
The stars of One Direction, who opened the show with an energetic performance of new track Best Song Ever, picked up four awards including Choice Group and Favorite Group Single (Live While We're Young).
The ceremony was hosted by Glee star Darren Criss and Pretty Little Liars actress Lucy Hale at the Gibson Amphitheatre in Los Angeles, while double-winner Demi Lovato and Paramore also performed.

"I always wondered what it'd be like to have nearly half a million people wish you happy birthday at once. Mental. Thanks very much for that! By the time I get through reading all of this it probably won't be my birthday anymore." Harry Potter star Matthew Lewis thanks fans for their well wishes as he turns 24 years old on Thursday (27Jun13).
