  • Hanna Review
By: Daniel Hubschman April 05, 2011 5:52am EST
"[director] Wright’s surreal visuals and anti-establishment attitude make Hanna a radically original action experience."
  • Unknown Review
By: Thomas Leupp February 17, 2011 9:49am EST
A decent premise is squandered amidst a torrent of cliches in this derivative conspiracy thriller.
  • The Losers Review
By: Thomas Leupp April 23, 2010 5:50pm EST
A sort of ‘A-Team Lite,’ this surprisingly entertaining action thriller makes for an apt prelude to the summer movie season.
  • Ninja Assassin Review
By: Thomas Leupp November 25, 2009 7:55am EST
This hyperkinetic gorefest should have remained in the shadows.
  • Inglourious Basterds Review
By: Thomas Leupp August 18, 2009 1:43pm EST
Quentin Tarantino returns to form with this audacious World War II epic, his most entertaining work since 'Pulp Fiction.'
  • Speed Racer Review
By: Kit Bowen May 09, 2008 5:41am EST
Filled with revved engines and vroom! visuals, Speed Racer is the perfect movie for video-gaming kids--but for others it may just cause migraines.
  • The Bourne Ultimatum Review
By: Kit Bowen August 08, 2007 1:10pm EST
Get ready to be Bourne again. Probably the best threequel of the summer, The Bourne Ultimatum keeps to the same seamlessly smart, hair-raising action of the first two installments.
  • Casino Royale Review
By: Kit Bowen November 17, 2006 11:59am EST
If there must be a grittier, more human --and, dare we say, even more vulnerable--James Bond, then Daniel Craig is all THAT and a bag of chips. Kudos to the new Bond regime.
  • Doom Review
By: Steven Trautmann October 21, 2005 2:05pm EST
The uber-popular video game gets a big-screen treatment with a predictable plot and a tacked-on final sequence. But even with all the action, violence, mutant-zombies and lots of high-caliber weaponry, it just doesn't elevate a great game to a great movie.
  • Kingdom of Heaven Review
By: Kit Bowen May 06, 2005 4:52am EST
Between the two of them, Ridley Scott and Orlando Bloom have picked up their swords for Gladiator, Troy and The Lord of the Rings trilogy. And that's the problem. If the intriguing but ultimately derivative Kingdom of Heaven had arrived before these recent period epics, it may have stood a better chance of enthralling us.
