New dad Jason Biggs celebrated the birth of his son on Wednesday (26Feb14) by holding a Jewish circumcision ceremony. The American Pie star and his wife Jenny Mollen became first-time parents to son Sid on 15 February (14) and they held a brit milah at their Los Angeles home this week.
Mollen shared photos of the event with fans on her Instagram.com blog, including one shot of her cradling the baby and kissing his forehead.
In the accompanying caption, she writes, "Today was not a good day to be Sid's penis. #babybiggs #circumcision".
American Pie star Jason Biggs and his wife Jenny Mollen have taken steps to store their newborn son's stem cells in the hope they can one day be used to save a life. The couple became first-time parents to baby Sid on 15 February (14) and Biggs has since revealed they have teamed up with medics at the Cryo-Cell blood bank facility to store the umbilical cord blood from their child's birth.
They have provided a testimony for the company's website, on which they state, "We may joke a lot in life, but all kidding aside, when we learned the facts about how stem cells from cord blood and cord tissue can be used to possibly save lives, hell yeah we stored.
"And knowing that our baby's stem cells might be used for our whole family made the decision that much easier. We hope we never have to use them, but it is a definite relief to know it's there and stored safe at Cryo-Cell."
Stem cells can be used later in life to help treat the child and possibly their relatives for certain illnesses where they can be used to repair faulty cells or organs.
Actor Jason Biggs has become a father for the first time after his wife Jenny Mollen gave birth on Saturday (15Feb14). Mollen announced the baby news on Instagram.com on Tuesday (18Feb14), after posting a series of videos documenting the birth of little Sid.
She wrote, "February 15th, 2014 5:00 pm babybiggs."
The American Pie star and Mollen wed in 2008 and they announced the pregnancy in July (13).
It appears the baby was over a week late as Biggs revealed last year (13) the tot was due on 4 February (14).
He told chat show host Conan O'Brien that he was concerned the baby's birth might interfere with his Super Bowl plans.
Biggs explained, "The Super Bowl is in New Jersey this year, it's right where I grew up and I'm on the host committee... I don't know what the hell that means but I know that it comes with two tickets to the Super Bowl.
"Obviously I'll still love the kid whenever it's born... I hope he's not an a**hole and is born right before the Super Bowl."
American Pie star Jason Biggs had an awkward first encounter with Jodie Foster on the set of new Netflix show Orange Is The New Black because he was pretending to pleasure himself at the time. The actor's lonely character Larry attempts to perfect the solo sex art of 'edging', which brings an individual to the brink of orgasm, in the storyline and Biggs was perfecting his odd scene when director Foster walked onto the set.
He tells Nylon magazine, "Here's Jodie coming in, and I'm masturbating the first day we're working together.
"She's like, 'Um, OK, so... I don't know much about what (you're doing)..., and I was like, 'I've made a career of this. Don't worry. I got this'."
The day made for an interesting anecdote when Biggs, who famously pretended to have sex with a pastry in teen comedy American Pie, phoned his wife, Jenny Mollen, from the set.
He says, "(I said), 'Today I jerked off in front of Jodie Foster. What'd you do?'"
"My wife is pregnant. My sincerest apologies to Kate Middleton for stealing all of her thunder. America's Baby." American Pie star Jason Biggs is overjoyed his actress wife Jenny Mollen is pregnant with the couple's first child.
American Pie star Jason Biggs is set to become a father - his actress wife Jenny Mollen is pregnant with the couple's first child. The actor announced the happy news during an interview on U.S. TV show Chelsea Lately on Wednesday (17Jul13).
He showed off a picture of his wife and crudely commented on the size of her breasts, saying, "Her breasts are very big these days. Would you like to know why? Cause I put a baby in her belly!"
The actor later retweeted a sonogram image of their unborn child, which Mollen had posted on Twitter.com.
The pair wed in April 2008 after meeting on the set of My Best Friend's Girl.
"I proposed to my wife with a pair of earrings. I'm so nonconformist." Actor Jason Biggs decided against popping the question to actress Jenny Mollen with a traditional engagement ring. The couple wed in 2008.
Actor Jason Biggs and his wife are eager to start a family after five years of marriage. The American Pie star is whisking Jenny Mollen to Hawaii to mark the anniversary on Tuesday (23Apr13) and he admits they are finally thinking about kids.
He tells UsMagazine.com, "We're right in that zone. That's our next step. We figure we've been married five years next week, so we figure now it's about that time. I'm ready!"
Biggs, 34, reveals he's surprised himself by making his marriage work so well, although the couple continues to learn new things about one another every day.
He says, "That we made it to five years is in and of itself pretty amazing. We're still learning so much about each other. In a good way, because we're learning so much about ourselves. You think you're all grown up and you get married and you're like, 'Wait a second - it's not just about me anymore! I can't just be selfish.' There's a relationship, and you learn to operate and think differently. And I imagine that's all going to get flipped, and turned upside down with a kid. I'll keep you posted!"
The image of American model Jamie Lynne Grumet breastfeeding her four-year-old son has caused a storm since it appeared on the front page of the revered U.S. publication earlier this month (May12) alongside the headline, 'Are you mom enough?'
The cover sparked a furious debate over the age at which a child should stop taking milk from its mother, but American Pie star Biggs has poked fun at the controversy by posing for his own version of the picture with the help of his scantily-clad wife, Jenny Mollen.
The pair parodied the shot and uploaded the snap to Twitter.com earlier this week (begs14May12). It shows the actor kneeling on a chair and suckling his wife's breast for the camera, with the caption, "Are you wife enough?"
The star plays geeky Jim Levenstein in the comedy series, and famously made love to an apple pie in the first film and bares all in the latest sequel, American Reunion.
Biggs, who is married to actress Jenny Mollen, sees children in his future - but he's not looking forward to the day when they become aware of his raunchy role.
He tells Britain's The Sun, "I've thought about this... I'm gonna have kids, I hope, right, a daughter... I can imagine having a daughter and say she's, like, 12 and she comes home from school one day and is like, 'Daddy, my friend says she saw your penis last night on television' and I'm gonna have to deal with that, sit my daughter down... it's all weird!
"The good news is this is at least a few years in my future."
