Charlie Sheen's troubled ex-wife Brooke Mueller has been hit with a lawsuit from a former nanny who alleges she is owed up to $10 million (GBP6.6 million) in unpaid overtime wages. Norma Lavizzo, who previously took care of Mueller's kids, is claiming she worked way over her scheduled 40-hour weeks, but received zero overtime pay, according to TMZ.com.
In the suit, Lavizzo alleges she was put on call by Mueller and had to make herself available 24 hours a day. She also claims she worked non-stop during a four-day family trip to Miami, Florida.
The former nanny apparently attempted to settle the matter with Mueller privately before filing suit, but her negotiations did not succeed and she's now asking for $10 million.
The reality TV star's problems are beginning to pile up as she battles for custody of her twin sons after a rehab stint - she has been forced to move out of the home Sheen bought for her as her brother moves in to look after her sons.
In May (13), the four-year-old twins were placed in the care of Sheen's second ex-wife, actress Denise Richards, after Mueller lost custody of them following a drugs bust that prompted her to check into a rehabilitation facility.
Last week (05Nov13), Richards insisted she could no longer take care of the kids because they were terrorising her daughters and pets. The boys were handed over to Mueller's brother, Scott Mueller.
Charlie Sheen is placing the house he bought for his ex-wife Brooke Mueller on the market as they continue to fight over custody of their twin boys. The Platoon star has been left furious by the latest developments in their kids' care, after a judge allowed Mueller's brother to move into his sister's Los Angeles home following his appointment as the four year olds' temporary guardian last week (ends08Nov13).
The former realtor has agreed to relocate to keep the peace as she is currently attempting to regain full custody, six months after she was stripped of her parental rights following a drugs bust in May (13).
As a result of the latest drama, Sheen has decided to offload the pad he bought for Mueller and his boys in a bid to oust his ex from the gated community, where both he and another ex, Denise Richards, have homes.
However, the actor has no interest in making money on the sale of the $4.8 million (£3.2 million) house - because as part of their divorce settlement, Mueller, who is sober after completing treatment in rehab, would get half of any profit, reports TMZ.com.
The sober coach who is overseeing reality TV star Brooke Mueller's recovery insists he has no doubt Charlie Sheen's ex-wife will beat her demons and regain custody of the couple's twin sons. Mueller lost custody of the four year olds in May (13) following a drug bust at her home, which prompted her to check into rehab.
Actress Denise Richards, who is another of Sheen's exes, took on the boys while their mother was seeking help for an ongoing substance abuse problem, but the actress recently insisted she could no longer look after Max and Bob because they were terrorising her daughters and pets.
Last week (ends08Nov13), the boys' uncle was handed custody of the twins and he has reportedly moved in to the home Sheen bought for his sister. Mueller has agreed to move out until she wins back custody.
Mueller's sober coach Carmine Thompson now hopes she gets her sons back soon because his charge is a "great mum", who has been sober for seven months since her relapse.
He tells news show Entertainment Tonight, "We test her (for drugs) constantly... She is clean and sober."
Thompson adds, "She is a fantastic mother. It's refreshing to watch... I think she's a great parent... If I was a four year old, she's the kind of mom I would want."
However, he admits Mueller is still at risk of relapsing again following her most recent stint in rehab - her 20th.
The sober coach says, "Relapse does happen and, in Brooke's case, that's an immediate concern."
Actor Charlie Sheen has vowed to "make amends" with his former TV boss Chuck Lorre in person, more than two years after engaging in a war of words which led to his firing from hit sitcom Two And A Half Men. The hellraising Platoon star famously fell out with Lorre in 2011, branding him a "stupid little man", prompting the show creator to drop his leading actor and replace him with Ashton Kutcher.
Sheen continued to slam Lorre throughout last year (12) as he launched his own comedy, Anger Management, but now it appears he is ready to put the feud behind him once and for all and reunite for a new project.
Taking to his Twitter.com blog on Sunday (10Nov13), he wrote, "hey Chuck, I have an idea that u (sic) need to hear after I make amends to you and yours. which I will do in person."
Lorre has yet to respond to the proposal, which Sheen made two days after using his Twitter page to blast his ex-wife Brooke Mueller over their continued custody battle. Their twin boys were reunited with mum over the weekend (09-10Nov13) after authorities named her brother temporary guardian and allowed him to move in with Mueller.
Charlie Sheen is risking jail time by ignoring warnings not to trash his ex-wife Brooke Mueller online after learning her brother has been given custody of their sons. On Friday (08Nov13), a Los Angeles judge approved plans for the four-year-old twins' uncle, Scott Mueller, to take over as their new temporary guardian - and for him to move in with his sister, a recovering addict, as she continues to attempt to win back custody of the boys following a spell in rehab.
Officials at the Los Angeles County Department of Children and Family Services (DCFS) granted Scott Mueller the responsibility of caring for Bob and Max after another of Sheen's exes, Denise Richards - their previous temporary guardian - revealed she could no longer look after the boys due to allegations about their increasingly bad behaviour.
Reports suggest Scott will be moving in with his sister this weekend (09-10Nov13) - and Sheen is far from happy.
Despite threats of jail time if he violates a gagging order on the custody case or his ex-wife's drug problems, the actor took to Twitter.com on Friday night (08Nov13) to vent his thoughts about the welfare of his sons.
He raged, "so lemme see if I got this straight. my twin boys are now in harms way and in grave danger. being 'raised' by a gaggle of incompetent and lascivious marionettes all ruled and fooled by an adderol snorting husk called Brooke. and guess what CPS and 'I'm Italian' judge anus-brain, you may have gagged me temporarily, but mark my unspoken words, anything happens to my boys, and you will know get to know me, know who I truly am, a loving father. tag - I'm it."
He later added, "and if this means being jailed for loving and trying to protect my children, then go for it.
"I have as many friends on the inside as i do out here. my passion WILL NOT be silenced. you are all now standing in my way. I'd recommend a shift in your geography."
Charlie Sheen's twins with ex-wife Brooke Mueller are going home to mum after a Los Angeles judge approved plans for her brother, their new temporary guardian, to move in with the recovering addict. Officials at the Los Angeles County Department of Children and Family Services (DCFS) granted Scott Mueller the responsibility of caring for four year olds Bob and Max on Friday (08Nov13) after another of Sheen's exes, Denise Richards - their temporary guardian, revealed she could no longer look after the boys due to allegations about their increasingly bad behaviour.
Richards, who took in the kids after their mother was stripped of custody following a drugs bust in May (13), claimed they had started harming her pet dogs and bullying their own half-sisters, Lola and Sam, as well as her adopted baby Eloise.
She feared the boys' actions were linked to time spent with Brooke, suggesting they would often turn violent after returning from visits with her, but the judge overseeing the case has granted permission for Scott to move in with his sister to take care of his nephews, according to TMZ.com.
The ruling is all the more surprising as DCFS chiefs have not given Brooke the full custody rights she has been fighting for since completing an outpatient rehab programme last month (Oct13).
Ironically, the house Scott will be moving into is the one Sheen bought for Brooke following their divorce in 2011. Richards and Sheen live in the same gated community.
Charlie Sheen's former brother-in-law has won temporary guardianship of the actor's twin boys with Brooke Mueller. The former Two and a Half Men star's second ex-wife, Denise Richards, has been looking after his sons Bob and Max since their mother lost custody of them following a drugs bust in May (13).
However, the former Bond girl has been struggling to keep the kids under control amid concerns for their alleged behavioural issues, and she reached out to officials at the Department of Children and Family Services (DCFS) in Los Angeles, revealing she can no longer take care of them because they have started harming her pet dogs and bullying her own daughters.
Richards expressed fears that the twins' bad behaviour is linked to the time they spend with their mother, suggesting they frequently turn violent after returning from visits with her, and she met with Mueller in court on Thursday (07Nov13) in a bid to find a solution for their situation.
No agreement was made during the four-hour showdown, but on Friday (08Nov13), it emerged that Mueller's brother, Scott, has been approved by DCFS officials as a suitable replacement as Bob and Max's guardian.
Richards will hand over the boys to Scott Mueller on Friday night, according to TMZ.com.
Sheen and Brooke split in 2010 after two years of marriage. She is currently seeking to regain full custody of their children after completing an outpatient rehab programme last month (Oct13).
Charlie Sheen's feuding ex-wives Denise Richards and Brooke Mueller appear to have reached a truce in their war of words over the welfare of the actor's twin sons. The two mums were called to court in Los Angeles on Thursday (07Nov13) for a mandatory meeting with Department of Children and Family Services medical director Dr. Charles Sophy, following reports suggesting that one-time Bond girl Richards was seeking psychiatric evaluations for Mueller's four year olds, who she has been looking after while their mum sought rehab help for an ongoing drug abuse problem.
Mueller was stripped of custody following a May (13) drug bust, which prompted her latest rehab stint, but Richards has become increasingly aware of the boys' alleged behavioural issues and she recently reached out to officials at the DCFS, revealing she can no longer take care of them because they have started harming her pet dogs and bullying her daughters.
Richards expressed fears that the twins' bad behaviour is linked to the time they spend with their mother, suggesting they frequently turn violent after returning from visits with her.
Mueller reportedly refused to allow Bob and Max to be evaluated as she fights to regain full custody of her sons - a move which has infuriated their father, Sheen. He was also reportedly invited to join his two ex-wives in court on Thursday but was a no-show, according to TMZ.com.
Sources tell the website Mueller and Richards were cordial towards one another during the four hour showdown, but their problems have not been resolved. Reports suggest DCFS social workers will now intervene and assess.
Dr. Sophy will also be able to stay abreast of the situation - sources tell TMZ he lives in the same exclusive gated community which Sheen, Mueller and Richards all call home.
Charlie Sheen has been warned by a judge handling his custody battle with ex-wife Brooke Mueller that he could face jail if he violates a gagging order on the case. Sheen has been vocal in his criticism of Mueller and the Los Angeles Department of Children and Family Services (DCFS) over custody of the former couple's twin boys Max and Bob, but he has now been told he has to stop.
Sources close to the case tell TMZ.com the judge has imposed a temporary restraining order on the Anger Management actor which reinstates a gagging clause preventing him from commenting on the battle.
He is also banned from contacting Mueller or going within 200 yards (183 metres/600 feet) of her.
Sheen has slammed the DCFS in a series of rants this week (beg04Nov13) for its handling of his children's custody, and Mueller tried to have the actor held in contempt of court after he spoke out about her drug problems in a filmed interview with TMZ.
Sheen and Mueller split in 2010 after two years of marriage but Mueller lost custody of the children in May (13) when she was placed on involuntary psychiatric care after a drug overdose. She is now seeking full custody after completing an outpatient rehabilitation program in October (13).
Actress Denise Richards is so concerned by the bad behaviour exhibited by her ex-husband Charlie Sheen's twin boys, she has been trying to set up appointments for psychiatric evaluations. The former Bond girl, who has two daughters with Sheen, has been looking after four-year-old Bob and Max - his kids with another ex Brooke Mueller - since their mother was stripped of custody following a drugs bust in May (13), that prompted the troubled reality TV star to check into a rehabilitation facility.
Richards recently reached out to officials at the Los Angeles County Department of Children and Family Services (DCFS) to reveal she can no longer take care of the boys as they have allegedly started harming her pet dogs and bullying her girls, reportedly strangling, kicking, scratching, slapping and punching them.
Richards expressed fears the temper troubles are connected to the time the twins spent with Mueller, suggesting they frequently turn violent after returning from visits with their mother.
Now TMZ.com has obtained an email Richards sent to Dr. Jay Gordon, Assistant Professor of Pediatrics at UCLA Medical School, in August (13), in which she asked to have the kids assessed by child specialists.
The message reads: "As we have discussed, because of recent events involving the boys' behavior I think that they need urgent evaluation. I am very concerned about their escalating violent actions; the apparent lack of understanding of the consequences and the safety of others is most worrisome. I would like them seen by Dr. Alessia Gottlieb for a complete developmental and behavioral assessment."
However, Mueller has reportedly refused to allow Bob and Max to take part in the medical visits as she fights to regain full custody of the kids - a move which has infuriated Sheen.
He has made no secret of his feelings about her custody efforts, recently taking to Twitter.com to rant about child service officials and declare war on Mueller. In his latest bizarre outburst this week (begs04Nov13), he tweeted, "What my family and I are forced to deal with in the last four years, lives outside the pale of any acceptable conduct or decency. I am battling an amorphous enemy that needs to be swiftly disempowered.
"These crimes against my children will be exposed. These war criminals will be hanged at dusk to a cheering and jeering crowd... The storm is brewing."
