Novelist Hugh Nissenson has died at the age of 80. The New York-born author passed away at his home in the Big Apple on Friday (13Dec13), according to the New York Times. No more details about his death were known as WENN went to press.
Nissenson published his first book, My Own Ground, in 1976 and continued to write for more than three decades, releasing his last novel, The Pilgrim, in 2011.
One of his most famous works, The Tree Of Life, was a finalist for America's National Book Award in 1985.
