The Dynasty legend has been playing the role of Queen Rat in a seasonal run of family show Dick Whittington at the Hippodrome in Birmingham, England over the festive season.
But audience members this week have missed out on seeing Collins in the production, after she was struck down with a severe cold.
Venue boss Stuart Griffiths tells Britain's Daily Mail, "We are taking each performance as it comes and hope Joan will be back soon."
The show is set to run until 30 January (11).
Oh, Kanye. I love you.
For those not part of his million and half followers on Twitter, let me inform you of everyone's favorite ranter's latest rant. On Tuesday night, Kanye West took to the internet to, once again, call out all them punkasses who make his life so gosh darn hard. The victim this time? Matt Lauer and The Today Show.
What sparked the incident was 'Ye's interview on the Today Show. Lauer asked him about the infamous Hurricane Katrina incident four years ago where Kanye made one of his most insightful statements: "George W. Bush doesn't care about black people." In the past week, this has all re-emerged because W. told Lauer, while doing an interview to promote his new book, that West's comment was the low-point in his presidency (yes, even lower than that one time Dick Cheney accidentally shot Harry Whittington while hunting). Anyway, West identified with Bush and dealing with an American public that hates you, citing the ever so famous "Imma-let-you-finish" moment with Taylor Swift. So, everything is cool now, right? Well, sort of.
Although George and 'Ye seem to have patched things up (rumor has it W. will make an guest appearance on West's upcoming album), Kanye is still pissed off at Lauer because supposedly, Lauer was a huge dickhead during the interview.
"Very judged very scrutinized very criticized! I want everyone to know I have lows all the time but I make it through them!" West tweeted.
The interview hasn't aired in full yet so we can't tell exactly what made Kanye so mad, but clearly something set him off. I can't imagine Lauer was that much of a dick, though. Who knows. Regardless, I can't help but feel a little bad for Ye. The poor guy is in the spotlight all the time, and anything he ever says or tweets is sure to be picked up by the media and broadcast all over the world. But whatever, he is a celebrity, so he should learn to deal with the critics. And speaking of spreading his thoughts all over the media, here's the entire rant. 30 Rock enthusiasts, don't forget to toss a "Liz Lemon" in front of each tweet.
Veteran actress JOAN COLLINS will take to the stage this Christmas (10) - to star in a traditional British pantomime. The Dynasty legend will take on the role of Queen Rat in a seasonal run of family show Dick Whittington in Birmingham, England.
