Troubled R&B star Chris Brown has left a rehab facility in Malibu, California and will continue to receive anger management treatment in an outpatient programme. The Kiss Kiss hitmaker sought professional counselling on 29 October (13), a day after pleading not guilty to a misdemeanour assault charge relating to a fight outside a Washington, D.C. hotel.
However, he has since checked out of the treatment centre and made a start on the community service hours he was ordered to complete as part of his 2009 conviction for beating up his then-girlfriend Rihanna.
Speaking to People.com on Thursday (14Nov13), his representative says, "Chris is continuing his rehab programme as an outpatient and is also completing his community service in the Los Angeles area. He appreciates all of your encouragement and support."
Brown had originally been sentenced to 180 days of community labour, in addition to a year-long domestic violence course and five years probation, but his 1,440 volunteer hours were rejected by a Los Angeles judge in August (13) over a discrepancy and he was slapped with another 1,000 hours as his probation was reinstated.
Brown's community service is just part of a long list of upcoming legal woes for the 24 year old - he faces up to four years in jail if prosecutors rule the Washington, D.C. incident, in which he stands accused of punching a 20-year-old man who was attempting to board his tour bus, violated his probation. He is also fighting a lawsuit against a woman who alleges she was assaulted by the star during a night out at a California club in June (13).
And last month (Oct13), Brown filed a countersuit against singer Frank Ocean's cousin, accusing him of provoking a parking lot brawl between the stars' entourages in January (13).
Glastonbury festival founder Michael Eavis has stripped off for a saucy new charity calendar photo. The 78-year-old farmer will appear as Mr. June in next year's (14) Legends Of Somerset calendar.
Smiling Eavis, who covers his modesty by holding a pair of denim shorts up to the camera, is one of 12 local businessmen and celebrities, including Mick Jagger's brother Chris, who agreed to pose for the Macmillan Cancer charity item.
"I'm not like a huge alcoholic or anything, but I always prided myself on being in a pretty good mood. And then I stopped drinking alcohol for eight months and I realised from time to time I got grumpy. It's a nice social lubricant." Actor Chris Pratt noticed changes in his mood after cutting out beer to get into shape for upcoming superhero movie Guardians Of The Galaxy.
Chris Pratt is on a roll (and not into another pit a la his character Andy Dwyer on Parks and Recreation). According to The Wrap, Universal is eyeing Pratt for the leading male role in Jurassic World.
Assuming the actor does end up taking the role (and is able to figure out a filming schedule that would work with Parks and Recreation), he'll appear on screen alongside Bryce Dallas Howard, Nick Robinson, Ty Simpkins, and possibly the Life of Pi star Irrfan Khan who is also being sought after for the film. Josh Brolin had originally been in talks for the lead role, but a deal was never made.
If Pratt signs on for the Jurassic Park sequel, then the up-and-coming big-name star could add yet another film to his growing list. Pratt, who has already proved his worth on the NBC comedy alongside Amy Poehler, has been quickly building up his "serious" acting credentials in films like Moneyball and Zero Dark Thirty. Additionally, he is set to star as Peter Quill in Marvel's 2014 Guardians of the Galaxy, voice the lead role in The LEGO Movie, and appear in The Delivery Man and Spike Jonze's Her. From the looks of it, Pratt doesn't plan on being pinned as the loveably dopey Andy forever. (But we still want a Parks and Recreation and Jurassic Park mash-up, because that just seems like it would be magical.)
Jurassic World, which will be directed by Colin Trevorrow from the script he co-wrote with Derek Connolly, will hit theaters June 12, 2015.

Rihanna has sparked rumours of a reconciliation with her ex-boyfriend Drake after the pair spent a racy night together at a strip club in Texas. The former couple, which dated on/off after the Umbrella hitmaker's split from Chris Brown in 2009, hooked up in the early hours of Thursday (14Nov13) after Rihanna joined the audience for the rapper's show in Houston.
After the concert, Rihanna headed to the city's V Live Gentlemen's Club with her entourage before being joined by Drake. The pair sat together and showered resident strippers with $17,000 (£11,333) between them, according to E! News.
One of the dancers, named Jhonni Blaze, claims the stars "looked like a couple" and left together after spending three hours in the venue.
Chris Pratt first caught our eye way back in the early 2000s when he co-starred on The WB’s Everwood (yeah, we’re talking pre-CW era TV.) Then he was on The O.C. as Summer’s unfortunate college boyfriend. He bounced around for a bit until he landed on NBC’s Parks and Recreation, where his humor officially captured our hearts. Pratt plays Andy Dwyer, the quirky and lovable guy who has his own FBI Agent alter ego: Bert Macklin.
Recently Pratt has been cast in a couple major roles: Star-Lord in Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy and Emmet, the star of The LEGO® Movie. Plus he’s co-starring opposite comedic heavyweight Vince Vaughn in the upcoming film Delivery Man. In addition to all the great roles he’s landed, no one has stopped talking about Pratt since a photo of him at the gym went viral earlier this year. (All we can say in response to the photo is: wow and hot damn.) The actor — who previously would have most politely been described as husky — cut out beer and junk food from his diet and went to the gym in order to look the part of a cut, muscular superhero.
We’re not superficial; we loved Pratt even as the husky-but-funny Andy Dwyer, but now he’s got that same affable humor as well as a superhero body. Seriously, he’s every girl’s dream boyfriend and he's a guy's guy. How can you not love him?
We didn't think it was really possible that we'd ever see Joey, Chris, Lance, J.C., and Justin singing and dancing together again. Then the 2013 MTV Video Music Awards happened and the whirlwind of excitement was too much for a classic boy band fan to handle. Sure, the moment was short, sweet, and overshadowed by some lady with a foam finger. But then there were the possibilities. Were they talking about more collaboration? Why did their management snag the @NSYNC Twitter handle? Maybe that 90 second, hastily rehearsed mash-up was just the beginning.
So, there hasn't been a tour announcement. No new albums are on the horizon. But last week, Chris Kirkpatrick got married with all of his bandmates by his side. And maybe — just maybe — that's enough for all of us.
It's not 1999 anymore, and the "Space Cowboy" mechanical bull choreography probably looks a lot different when a 42-year-old man tries it on for size. But the worst implication of the band's hiatus — we refuse to call it a break-up — was that the guys weren't friends anymore. Boy band fans may get a bad rap for being shallow, and yes, we do appreciate and honor the cute. But it was the camraderie that drove the obsession, and imagining some feud or resentment was just too sad. Now that we know that Justin Timberlake put on a Men's Wearhouse suit and walked Chris's great aunt to her seat, those fears are assuaged.
Dear *N Sync:
We can live without the official reunion, just as long as you guys still hang out every once in a while. And maybe have someone from People there to take pictures.
Chris Brown has launched legal action against a woman who alleged he assaulted her during a night out in California. The Kiss Kiss singer hit headlines in June (13) when Deanna Gines claimed the star pushed her to the ground at the Heat Ultra Lounge in Anaheim.
Gines alleged she suffered torn ligaments in her right knee as a result of the incident, but police decided not to pursue the case.
She sued the singer over her alleged injuries, and now Brown has hit back with a countersuit, accusing her of lying and being "heavily intoxicated" at the club, according to TMZ.com.
Irish actor Chris O'dowd was so broke at the time Bridesmaids hit the big screen, he couldn't even afford cable TV to watch his U.S. interviews promoting the film. The star landed his breakthrough role in the 2011 hit after moving to Los Angeles to get over a broken heart, and bought himself a base in the city from which to pursue his movie career.
O'Dowd was thrust into the limelight when the comedy drew rave reviews, but funnelling his money into his American home left him so poor, he couldn't keep up with his bills.
He says, "I bought a house... I put all of my money into this house and then hadn't worked for six months. I was just really broke so we got our cable turned off and all that kind of stuff.
"It was weird. I was more broke than I have ever been in a way, because I was in so much debt. It was really scary."
O'Dowd admits his bank balance plummeted because he was turning down roles which didn't live up to Bridesmaids: "At that time I had just done that job which I loved so much I got really picky and didn't take jobs I would normally take, and if you do that for long enough you end up broke.
"It was as simple as that. I was being offered a lot of bad rom-coms and a few things which I thought were going to happen just didn't end up happening."
