Anthony LaPaglia hopes to produce the first English language film adaptation of Arthur Miller’s classic A View From the Bridge. LaPaglia will star as Eddie, the Italian immigrant who takes on two illegal immigrants in his Brooklyn home. Joining him is Vera Farmiga and Mia Wasikowska as Eddie’s wife and niece, respectively (duh). Also cast is Sam Neill and Sebastian Stan. This seemingly stellar cast begins filming the project early this summer.
Now, Farmiga is an incredible actress and will probably do wonders with the role. That I have no problem with. My problem is with Wasikowska. Don’t get me wrong, it's nothing personal. She’s a fine actress, too. But Scarlett Johansson won a Tony for the role and was originally supposed to play the part before backing out; no one can compete with that. Sorry Wasikowska, it’s not you, it’s me. Well, it’s not really me, it’s Scarlett Johansson.
Meester and Hedlund were "inseparable the entire night" at HBO network's event at the Beverly Hilton Hotel on Sunday (16Jan11), according to UsMagazine.com.
A partygoer tells the website "She wraps her arm completely around his neck and pulls him for a quick peck on the lips," and when the pair called it a night, Hedlund was "massaging her shoulders" as they left the party together.
Meester split with Gossip Girl costar Sebastian Stan last year (10). She has previously been linked to Aussie actor Luke Bracey, her co-star in upcoming comedy, Monte Carlo.
"It's wonderful to be in love. And it's definitely wonderful to cuddle and have sex and get to experience life with somebody. But it's OK if you don't find him and you're 24. You can find it someday." GOSSIP GIRL star LEIGHTON MEESTER isn't in a rush to find love after splitting from boyfriend Sebastian Stan earlier this year (10).

The twosome, who began dating in 2008, were believed to have gone their separate ways in April (10); Szohr was rumoured to have moved on with Sebastian Stan, the ex-boyfriend of her colleague Leighton Meester.
But the couple made it clear they are still very much together with a public kiss, caught by photographers, while they watched Andy Roddick's 3-1 defeat by Serbian Janko Tipsarevic.
The pair, who began dating in 2008, were believed to have gone their separate ways in April (10). Szohr was rumoured to have moved on with Sebastian Stan, the ex-boyfriend of her colleague Leighton Meester.
The reports were vehemently denied by her representative, and it seems Szohr is now back in Westwick's arms - the pair was seen flirting as they checked into a hotel in Chicago after filming together in July (10).
According to the New York Daily News, the pair hooked up later in the hotel's bar, with an onlooker saying, "They were taking shots. They're definitely a couple. They were kissing and holding hands."
The actress, who plays cheerleader Quinn Fabray in the musical series, is allegedly dating Sebastian Stan, whose romance with his Gossip Girl co-star Meester recently came to an end.
But the pair has decided to just "have fun" and take their relationship slowly, according to reports.
A source tells Life & Style magazine, "They've been going out on dates in NYC (New York City). It started as just a hook-up, but now they're dating.
"Sebastian doesn't want to make the same mistakes as with Leighton. She was so public, he's more focused on his own career right now and wants to just have fun with Dianna without it being this big thing."
Szohr's on/off relationship with co-star Ed Westwick has been under the spotlight in recent months, with gossip pointing towards a permanent split.
The actress was rumoured to be consoling herself by spending time with another fellow Gossip Girl star, Stan - whose romance with cast mate Meester recently came to an end.
But a spokesperson for Szohr is adamant there is "nothing going on with them," telling the New York Post's Page Six, "They were out with friends."
The actress is currently in Europe filming upcoming comedy Monte Carlo with the Australian hunk, as well as co-stars Cory Monteith and Selena Gomez.
Meester, who split from boyfriend Sebastian Stan earlier this year (10), appeared to have taken a liking to her new co-star as she and Bracey went sightseeing around the romantic capital on Wednesday (23Jun10).
The couple was photographed strolling with their arms around each other, smiling and laughing as they walked through the Pere Lachaise cemetery.
I remember a time (just a few months back, in fact) when news about Paramount Pictures and Marvel Entertainment's Captain America: The First Avenger was scarce. Those days are long gone as we inch closer and closer to the start of production while the films cast continues to grow and get better and better. Today, Marvel announced that another acclaimed actor will join the ranks of Chris Evans, Hugo Weaving, Sebastian Stan and Toby Jones (to name a few): Oscar nominee Stanley Tucci.
Super Hero Hype reports that Tucci will play Dr. Abraham Erskine, a German scientist who in many of the early comics was behind Project Rebirth, the secret experiment that created the Super Soldier known as Captain America.
A character actor capable of completely transforming himself for a role, Tucci is one of the finest performers working in the business today. His presence in the film, no matter how extensive or brief, can only be viewed as a win for everyone. I just can't wait to hear what kind of creepy German accent he'll deliver...
Captain America: The First Avenger will begin filming at the end of this month to meet its July 22nd 2011 release date.

Just when you thought that one villain would be enough of a challenge for Chris Evans' Captain America, The Hollywood Reporter's Heat Vision Blog today announced that Toby Jones (W, Infamous) will play Nazi genetic engineer Arnim Zola in Joe Johnston's upcoming event picture.
In comics lore, Zola created clones and various monstrosities for Hitler. He also captured his own mental self, inserting it into a robot, and survived the war. Hugo Weaving will portray main baddie The Red Skull in Paramount Pictures fourth superhero film, which will blast it's way into theaters on July 22 2011, just a two and a half months after Thor.
The World War II-set movie also stars Sebastian Stan as Cap's sidekick Bucky Barnes and Hayley Atwell as the hero’s love interest, Peggy Carter. All parties are gearing up for a summer shoot in England, which should begin in July.
