Rapper Drake swapped the stage for the basketball court on Friday night (17Oct14) as he joined the University of Kentucky's basketball team to warm up before a big game. The Started From the Bottom hitmaker, a longtime supporter of the Kentucky Wildcats, was invited to attend the team's annual Midnight Madness event at the Rupp Arena and he thrilled students and fans by suiting up in one of the school's all-blue tracksuits to join the players on the court.
However, the hip-hop star was left nursing a bruised ego after attempting - and failing - to hit a three-point shot, but he refused to let his lack of sporting skills get him down and later beamed as he introduced his pal, team coach John Calipari, to the crowd.
Drake is no stranger to the Wildcats - he was made an honorary member of the franchise in 2012, when he was presented with a prestigious national championship ring, engraved with his nickname Drizzy, after the college men's team took home the title earlier that year.
He also turned basketball coach for an alumni game in September, 2012.
The rapper isn't the only celebrity Wildcats fan - actress Ashley Judd, who attended the school, is also a huge supporter.
Rapper Snoop Dogg has set up a campaign urging the public to pledge donations to a youth football team.
The hip-hop star created the page on crowdfunding site Tilt.com to raise money for the Inner City Urban Development (ICUD) football league in Des Moines, Iowa. He hopes $20,000 (£12,500) will be pledged to the community organization by 22 October (14) so officials can continue to offer athletics to inner city youths. The rapper, a certified football coach, writes, "As soon as I saw this story, I knew we had to help these kids out... Over 10 years ago, I started the Snoop Youth Football League (SYFL) in LA. My commitment to youth football programs is a cause that is close to my heart and I'm looking to you to help support these kids. Together, we can help fund this League that teaches our youth the most important life skills: dedication, teamwork, and sportsmanship."
If the campaign is successful, all players will receive safer helmets and new equipment.
Cult TV show Twin Peaks will officially return to the small screen in 2016 to mark the 25th anniversary of the series' demise.
The 1990s show, starring Kyle MacLachlan as quirky FBI Agent Dale Cooper, was cancelled after just two seasons, but creators David Lynch and Mark Frost sent fans into a spin on Friday (03Oct14) when they dropped a big hint on Twitter about Agent Cooper's return. In the cryptic tweet, Lynch wrote, "Dear Twitter friends: That gum you like is going to come back in style! #damngoodcoffee (sic)." The quote comes from a repeated dream sequence in the show, while the hashtag refers to the line MacLachlan's caffeine-loving character uttered over and over again.
Now bosses at America's Showtime network have delivered the news fans have been waiting for - Twin Peaks will be making a comeback in 2016. Lynch and Frost will start production on a new season next year (15), with the Blue Velvet filmmaker planning to direct all nine episodes.
The forthcoming episodes will be set in present day, with storylines related to those already established in the second season. Frost tells Variety.com, "For those followers of the show who felt bereft when the show ended where it did all those years ago are going to like where it goes from here. And we hope that a lot of people who haven't been to Twin Peaks yet are going to be equally interested in where the story goes from where we left off." It is not yet clear if any of the original castmembers will appear in the revived drama series, which revolved around the mysterious death of small town high school sweetheart Laura Palmer.

"I bought myself some coloured contact lenses as all the big movie stars at the time had blue eyes. But when I popped them in before the audition, I could barely see a thing. I walked in to Cubby Broccoli's Mayfair office and began introducing myself, when Cubby said, 'I'm over here, Jess'! I'd been addressing the hat stand." Singer Jess Conrad admits vanity got the better of him when he auditioned for James Bond in the 1960s.
Actress Sara Ramirez and her Grey'S Anatomy co-star Ellen Pompeo showed their love for Orange Is The New Black by spoofing the show on the set of their medical drama. The actresses paid homage to the popular Netflix prison comedy by replacing the iconic orange jail jumpsuits with Grey's signature blue scrubs.
In a photo posted on Twitter.com by Pompeo on Wednesday (17Sep14), Ramirez imitates Laura Prepon's Alex Vause with the same hair, black-rimmed glasses, red lipstick and faux arm tattoo, while Pompeo made her long blonde locks into cornrows to channel inmate Tricia.
The stars were surrounded by members of the Grey's crew, who also portrayed other Orange is the New Black characters such as Crazy Eyes and Big Boo.
Pompeo added the caption, "Blue is the new black."

Pop superstar Beyonce has cast doubt on rumors she is set to become a mother for a second time by posing with a glass of Champagne at an end of tour party.
The singer and her husband Jay Z were rumoured to be expecting a sibling for their daughter Blue Ivy after the rapper reportedly changed the lyrics in one of his songs during a live show in France on Friday (12Sep14) to suggest the star is pregnant. The Big Pimpin' hitmaker is said to have rapped in his song Beach Is Better, "Pregnant with another one," in place of, "I replace it with another one."
However, the pair appears to have dismissed the pregnancy rumors by posing with glasses of Champagne at an end of tour party just a day after the reported lyric change. The snap, which shows Jay Z and Beyonce laughing and holding up their glasses of booze, was posted on the rapper's Life + Times Twitter.com page.
Veteran pop star Bobby Vinton has had to turn down the opportunity to perform at pal Joan Rivers' funeral on Sunday (07Sep14) after struggling with a bout of pneumonia. The late comedienne had detailed her ideal send-off in her 2012 book, I Hate Everyone... Starting with Me, revealing she wanted it to be "a huge showbiz affair with lights, camera, action..."
She went on to add, "I want it to be Hollywood all the way. I don't want some rabbi rambling on; I want Meryl Streep crying, in five different accents. I don't want a eulogy; I want Bobby Vinton to pick up my head and sing Mr. Lonely."
Rivers' family is planning to celebrate her life at a service at New York's Temple Emanu-El, the synagogue where she was a member, this weekend, but Blue Velvet hitmaker Vinton won't be able to attend due to ill health.
The 79-year-old singer's representative tells TMZ.com he is currently recovering from the lung infection and therefore won't be able to perform the 1964 hit, although he is considering recording a video message to be played during the ceremony.
Rivers died on Thursday (04Sep14), aged 81, after failing to recover from a cardiac and respiratory arrest suffered on 28 August (14), during a routine throat operation at a Big Apple clinic.
An initial autopsy on her body was completed on Friday (05Sep14), but coroners could not find a clear "cause and manner of death". Toxicology testing is currently underway.

Photographer Sherry Hagerman tells the New York Daily News, "They had a great conversation and a ton of laughs inside the bar. Snoop was a blast to be around, and a really great person for making the day of Neesha and Joe a bit more special."
The Emmys just took place a few days ago but most of TV's biggest shows don't have time to waste celebrating (or sobbing). Here's a look at where two of the Emmys' most nominated shows are filming right now.
The Good Wife
Julianna Margulies was one of Monday's big winners for lead actress in a drama but she didn't have long to celebrate before she was needed back on the set of The Good Wife. Today Julianna and company are filming on location at 46th St and 5th Ave in New York City.
Orange Is the New Black
Orange Is The New Black walked away with a win for Uzo Aduba (Crazy Eyes) in the Guest Actress Category but it lost Best Comedy series to five-time winner Modern Family. The loss is largely attributed to its placement in the comedy category raising the argument that a new dramedy-esque category needs to be created for the Emmys.
The loss certainly isn't slowing the show down. You can catch them shooting today around around Blue Hill Plaza and Veterans Memorial Dr, Pearl River, NY.
