But Bowen's effervescent charm has primarily been showcased on the small screen, notably in her role as a small-town dream girl on the dramedy Ed as well as recurring romantic roles on ER and Jake in Progress. In 2005 Bowen signed on to Boston Legal and injected the quirky legal series with a bit of heart.
