If not for Jamie Foxx's electrifying performance as the one and only Ray Charles, as well as the extraordinary music that made him famous, Ray could have easily fallen under a made-for-television banner.

Even with an appealing Paul Bettany on the back line, Wimbledon's cross-court love match mostly fumbles along rather than running up to the net for the kill shot. (How about that for a bunch of tennis clichés?)

You know exactly what you're getting into when you sit down to watch a movie in which there is not only one but many giant super snakes, eating a bunch of really stupid scientists and slithering amok in a jungle they aren't really suppose to be in. Please tell me you know.

While sporadically hilarious, Without a Paddle is a regurgitation of every fish-out-of-water comedy since 1987. Even still, it would make for a funny and frequent rental, if the audience it was intended for wasn't nearing 40 years old.
