Former Prison Break star Rockmond Dunbar is engaged to marry actress Maya Gilbert. The 40 year old proposed to Gilbert at a resort in Jamaica after just nine months of dating, and Dunbar admits he went to great lengths to pull off the surprise.
He tells Sister 2 Sister magazine, "I spoke to a couple of my friends, the vice president of the resort, and they helped me plan the whole entire thing. And they set up this private dinner right at (the) edge of the ocean in the private gazebo just for two, and it was one of the most beautiful, serene places that I have ever been to, and I proposed after dinner...
"She is literally the best thing that has ever happened to me in my entire life. Not only is she beautiful, but she's perfect for me."
And the couple may even return to the island to tie the knot, hopefully in December (13), with the star adding: "We're really thinking of Jamaica right now, but we haven't decided on the final destination yet."
This will be Gilbert's first marriage, while Dunbar divorced his model wife Ivy Holmes in 2006.
Katie Holmes doesn't have Tom Cruise to share exciting news with anymore, but that's OK because she has a new friend — Stevie the Squirrel.
Is the squirrel's name actually Stevie? I don't know, probably not. It's just some random squirrel. But Stevie has a nice ring to it, don't you think? Katie thought so, too, as is evidenced by her apparent love for Stevie. Here she is reaching out to him eagerly, most likely to let him know that she has some ice cream.
But the new friendship may be in trouble already. Here is Katie with her aforementioned ice cream, but she looks pretty upset. And — the plot thickens — Stevie is nowhere to be found.
Will Stevie the Squirrel return? Will ice cream ever make Katie Holmes happy again? You'll know when we do.

Lawyers for accused cinema shooter James Holmes have filed a request to change their client's plea to not guilty by reason of insanity following last summer's (12) Colorado movie theatre massacre. The suspect stands accused of opening fire just before a midnight screening of The Dark Knight Rises in an Aurora theatre last July (12), killing 12 filmgoers and leaving 58 others wounded.
Holmes was charged with a total of 166 crimes, including 24 counts of first-degree murder and 116 counts of attempted murder, and, during his March (13) arraignment, Judge William Sylvester entered a standard not guilty plea on Holmes' behalf after he failed to respond to the allegations before his court-appointed deadline.
The 25 year old's legal team offered a guilty plea deal to prosecutors in return for a life imprisonment verdict, but the authorities turned it down as they plan to pursue the death sentence.
On Monday (13May13), Holmes' attorney Daniel King asked new judge Carlos A. Samour to accept a plea of not guilty by reason of insanity, according to the Associated Press.
A decision will be made by 31 May (13).
Lawyers representing the accused gunman behind last summer's (12) Colorado cinema massacre have filed their intent to enter a plea of not guilty by reason of insanity on behalf of their client. James Holmes faces charges of killing 12 people and wounding dozens more after allegedly opening fire in a packed Aurora theatre as film fans were waiting for the start of the Batman sequel The Dark Knight Rises.
Prosecutors, who are seeking the death penalty in the case, claim the 25 year old had been planning the massacre for months.
Holmes' attorneys have previously offered to file a guilty plea on their client's behalf if prosecutors agreed to spare his life and push for life imprisonment instead, but Arapahoe County lawmakers declined the offer.
Previously, a judge entered a standard plea of not guilty for Holmes.
His trial is scheduled to begin in February (14).
Pop star Harry Styles tasted a slice of his old life when he returned to the bakery he used to work at to shoot scenes for One Direction's new 3D movie. The British hunk, who is now worth an estimated $24 million (£15 million), strapped on an apron to step behind the counter at W Mandeville in his hometown of Holmes Chapel in Cheshire, England.
Styles worked there when he was 14 years old, pulling in $9.60 (£6) an hour mopping floors and wiping down the baking trays.
A source tells Britain's Daily Mirror, "It was funny as there were security and chauffeurs and minders outside, and there Harry was acting like he was still a baker's boy earning what he earns in a second now. He posed for fans - he was just lovely."
The footage is expected to feature in One Direction's upcoming film This Is Us.
Actor Benedict Cumberbatch has made peace with his mystery cyber-stalker after she baked him a cake to apologise for spying on him. The Sherlock star was left rattled earlier this year (13) when he discovered his daily movements were being posted on microblogging website Twitter.com.
Cumberbatch was so unnerved, he considered calling cops, but the issue resolved itself when the 'stalker' was revealed to be a female neighbour who baked him a sweet treat to say sorry for scaring him.
The actor was flattered by the tasty gift but had to decline it as he needs to stay slim to play British super-sleuth Sherlock Holmes on TV, telling British magazine Event, "I'm trying to look after my Sherlock jawline, otherwise I'd have loved the cake."
Actress/singer Becky Baeling is a married woman after exchanging vows with the son of American Idol boss Nigel Lythgoe. Baeling wed TV producer Kris Lythgoe in a themed ceremony over the weekend (27-28Apr13), and her actor pal Neil Patrick Harris and his partner, David Burtka, were among the guests.
In a post on his Twitter.com page, the How I Met Your Mother star writes, "At our great friends Becky Baeling & Kris Lythgoe's murder mystery wedding. The game, as they say, is afoot!"
Harris also posted a picture of himself dressed as super sleuth Sherlock Holmes, with Burtka appearing to play his companion Dr. Watson, while the bride uploaded a photo of herself in a traditional wedding dress.
British tough-guy Vinnie Jones struggled to play a soccer-obsessed serial killer in hit TV show Elementary because he had to pretend to support his favourite club's bitter rival. The X-Men: The Last Stand star portrayed a psychotic murderer who kills his victims while watching Arsenal games in Jonny Lee Miller's popular Sherlock Holmes-based series.
Jones, who started out as a professional soccer player before taking up acting, is a big fan of Arsenal's rival British club Tottenham Hotspur, and admits he hated having to pretend to support a more successful team.
He tells the Sydney Daily Telegraph, "Unfortunately he's (the character is) a big Arsenal fan, which goes right against the grain with me. Growing up I was a Tottenham fan so it's tough coming up with the dialogue they've given me."
When asked whether the show's gritty torture scenes were easier to act out than playing an Arsenal fan, he adds, "You could say that. Yeah."
"I feel like I'm an honorary Brit having played Sherlock. More importantly than playing Sherlock, I believe I helped launch all these really good TV shows. Even though I didn't get a cut of those TV shows, it's just enough to know. But Johnny Lee (Miller) and Benedict (Cumberbatch), either one of those guys could have played (Sherlock Holmes) in the movie and it probably still would have been as successful." Sherlock Holmes star Robert Downey, Jr. feels responsible for spawning hit TV shows Sherlock and Elementary, about the legendary sleuth.
