Jon Hamm and Daniel Radcliffe are reuniting for a second series of TV drama A Young Doctor's Notebook. The duo played younger and older versions of the same character in the four-part 2012 U.K. show, about a Russian doctor at different stages of his life, and based on the writings of Mikhail Bulgakov.
They will team up again for another season, and Radcliffe can't wait to get back into character.
He says, "I had absolutely no hesitation in agreeing to do a second series of A Young Doctor's Notebook. I had an incredible time working with the multi-talented Jon Hamm and of course am a huge fan of Mikhail Bulgakov's work and so was thrilled when I was told a second series had been commissioned."
Hamm adds, "I'm thrilled to come back to our wonderful, weird, wild world of A Young Doctor's Notebook. Series one was an absolute blast to work on and I'm looking forward to continuing this bizarre adventure."
The second season will air on Britain's Sky Arts channel later this year (13).
For straight women over thirty, there are few male specimens more irresistible than Jon Hamm. For women under thirty who were weaned on Harry Potter you could say the same about Daniel Radcliffe. But what happens if you get Hamm and Radcliffe together, not just in the same movie, not just playing the same character, but in the same bathtub? Let the palpitations begin, because that's exactly what's happening in the new miniseries A Young Doctor's Notebook airing on Britain's Sky Arts 1 starting Dec. 6.
Based on a short-story collection by Russian playwright Mikhail Bulgakov, the four-parter will showcase the Mad Men and Harry Potter actors pulling a Looper and playing the same character: a middle-aged Russian doctor (Hamm) who investigates his own life and career through a series of droll dialogues with his younger self (Radcliffe). And if you think that sounds as bleak as watching an Andrei Tarkovsky film in the middle of a Russian winter, think again. It's actually a comedy, with Radcliffe asking his bathtub partner Hamm, "Can you pass the loofah?"

The actors will portray the same character in upcoming comedy drama A Young Doctor's Notebook, with Harry Potter star Radcliffe playing the lead in his younger years.
The show is inspired by a collection of short stories by Russian playwright Mikhail Bulgakov and is set during the Russian Revolution.
Filming is currently taking place in London, according to New York Post columnist Cindy Adams.
