Glee star Naya Rivera has turned director for a new short film in honour of America's Immigrant Heritage Month. The 27-year-old actress/singer stepped behind the camera for her very first foray into directing, and her project, Love, America, debuted online on Tuesday (24Jun14).
In the three-minute film, a mysterious piece of paper is passed from person to person, as each of their immigrant stories are revealed. Rivera's film is part of non-profit organisation Welcome.Us' campaign for June's (14) Immigrant Heritage month, which is a nationwide effort to gather and share inspirational stories of immigration in America.
Other celebrities who also tried their hand at directing short films for the project include Joely Fisher, Scandal's Guillermo Diaz, and TV personality Rocsi Diaz.
The Shrek star stepped out with Butcher at a Beverly Hills coffee shop, and now sources tell UsMagazine.com the couple has been dating for two months.
One insider says, "He pursued her. (He) totally loves her look. He shows her off to his friends - she's one of those girls that make all your guy friends jealous. She loves sports, too, and likes to go to basketball games."
But Murphy is taking things slow with the Australian beauty and friends insist she is "fine to just have fun".
The 51 year old's exes include Spice Girls star Melanie Brown and DJ Rocsi Diaz, while Butcher has previously romanced music mogul Russell Simmons.
Eddie Murphy went public with his new girlfriend at a pre-BET Awards bash in New York on Sunday night (01Jul12). The actor and radio DJ Rocsi Diaz showed off their romance on the red carpet. Diaz has previously been linked to singer Bruno Mars.
Chris Brown isn't exactly know for model behavior when it comes to interacting with his fellow humans. Now, he's getting heat for bringing harm to other species. The R&B singer has taken up with the business of dog breeding, specifically pit bulls — and PETA (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals) is just not happy about it.
The animal rights activist group has vocalized its concerns with Brown's new business on the grounds that dog breeding prevents dog adoption, which in turns leads to an increase in euthanasia among the inhabitants of animal shelters. Furthermore, PETA calls Brown's interest in breeding and selling pit bulls nothing more than a "moneymaking scheme."
"There is no such thing as a responsible breeder while wonderful dogs are being put down in animal shelters across the country for lack of a good home," PETA said in a statement to Hollywood.com. "This is a moneymaking scheme, and Brown will count the suckers who fall for it as he counts the money on the way to the bank. Shelters will count the bodies in the barrel. As Justin Bieber, Kellan Lutz, and Rocsi Diaz say, 'adopt, never buy.'"
Brown has launched this new business via the website CB Breeds. He is currently selling seven pit bull terrier puppies at $1,000 each. What do you think about his new business? Should he be donating hours at the local animal shelter instead of breeding his own pups?
