Anna Nicole Smith's young daughter is set for a bumper payday after a U.S. judge ruled the six year old is entitled to sanctions from the estate of the late model's billionaire former husband, J. Howard Marshall. The oil tycoon was married to Smith for a year when he died in 1995 and the busty blonde fought his son and other family members for a large cut of his fortune up until her passing from an accidental drug overdose in 2007.
Lawyers for her estate kept up the legal fight, but they were dealt a bitter blow in 2011 when a Supreme Court Chief Justice in Washington, D.C. overturned a prior ruling to give the tragic beauty's family $475 million (£306.5 million).
The case returned to court this week (begs27May13), and there was good news for Smith's relatives - U.S. District Judge David O. Carter found that Marshall's estate representatives had used unsavoury tactics to hide crucial documents from Smith's lawyers during the lengthy legal battle, and ordered the executors to pay sanctions to the model's daughter, Dannielynn.
Phil Boesch, lawyer of Smith's estate, tells Forbes.com, "This is a complete vindication of Anna Nicole's rights, and a total condemnation of what was done to her. We are confident that the amount Anna's estate and daughter Dannielynn will finally be awarded will be fair and substantial."
Reports suggest the child - Smith's son with her lover Larry Birkhead - could receive as much as $49 million (£31.6 million).
Ironically, Smith's romance with the oil tycoon will be detailed in a new TV movie, Anna Nicole, which will air in America in June (13).
Kristen Stewart's role in the Twilight movie franchise nearly went to Kurt Cobain and Courtney Love's daughter, according to her mother. The Hole rocker told U.S. radio host Howard Stern on Thursday (30May13) that Frances Bean Cobain, 20, was offered the role of Bella Swan in the films, but snubbed the opportunity because she objected to the vampire storylines.
Love told the host, "When she was 13 she was offered Twilight, she was offered (the part of) Bella in Twilight. Someone just saw a picture of her in a magazine and sent me the script for Twilight. She was like, 'That's a sexist Mormon piece of s**t'. She was 13. It would have destroyed her life."
Stewart played the role of Bella in the five Twilight movies, which have grossed more than $2 billion worldwide.
Michael Jackson was once rejected by U.S. newswoman Katie Couric after he asked her out on a date. The broadcaster revealed all about her dating history during a candid chat with satellite radio shock jock Howard Stern on Wednesday (29May13) and revealed that the late King of Pop had had his spiritual adviser, Rabbi Shmuley Boteach, reach out to her to set up a romantic liaison.
She explains, "(Boteach) called me in my office... (He said), 'Katie, I have a question for you. Are you seeing anyone?' And I thought, 'This is so beyond creepy that Rabbi Shmuley is hitting on me'. I'm like, 'Rabbi Shmuley, you have, like, nine kids, what's going on here?' I said, 'Actually, I am (seeing someone),' because I had a boyfriend at the time.
"He said, 'Oh, that's a shame... Michael said to me, That's the kind of girl I would like to go out with...' and I said, 'Rabbi Shmuley, that's very flattering but I am seeing someone... Will you tell him how flattered I am and what a nice compliment that is?'"
Looking back, Couric wishes she had accepted the offer: "I do regret not having dinner with him. That would have been insane - breaking bread with Michael Jackson!"
Oscar winner Martin Landau will play Anna Nicole Smith's husband J. Howard Marshall in a new TV biopic. Agnes Bruckner will portray the tragic actress/model in Anna Nicole, which will debut on U.S. TV next month (Jun13).
Rockers Muse paid tribute to their heroes Queen by employing dwarves to carry trays of suspicious-looking white powder at a concert afterparty on Sunday night (26May13). According to undisputed myth, the late Freddie Mercury's handlers hired little people to hand out cocaine at debauched parties during the height of his band's success, and Muse stunned guests with a similar stunt.
The band played a packed show at the Emirates Stadium in London on Sunday before heading to an afterparty at the city's A-list club Cirque Le Soir.
They shocked onlookers with their Queen-style butlers - but the dwarves were only carrying trays full of harmless sherbet for the prank, dreamed up by Muse drummer Dominic Howard.
A source tells WENN, "It was hilarious. Dom is best friends with Roger Taylor, who comes to all of their gigs. And he knows Roger is sick of being asked about the stories about Queen snorting coke from bald dwarves heads and making them carry coke around on silver platters, so they thought it would be funny to send dwarves around carrying lines of sherbet on trays."
People love watching movies about attractive people driving fast cars, as is demonstrated by the fact that Fast and Furious 6 exists. But the new trailer for Ron Howard's Rush shows it might be possible to make a racing movie that has some actual substance to it:
The movie tell the story of the rivalry between English racer James Hunt and Austrian Niki Lauda, played by Chris Hemsworth and Daniel Bruhl, respectively. It also stars Olivia Wilde with blond hair and a British accent, so that's different.
Rush isn't just about a couple of guys who can quickly shift from second to third gear while looking calm and collected. It's about the will to win that drives these men to put their life on the line. But if that doesn't convince you, just focus on the adrenaline-pumping hairpin turns, the fiery crashes, and that brief second of shower-sex.

"I'm a celebrity superfan; I host my own radio show about Howard Stern... Howard is great for me as a mother because he talks a lot about his mother... and it makes me very aware of how not to be and the things to curb inside of me, all of the anxiety and problems that I am worried about for them. He knows too much about his mother and her struggles." Singer Natalie Maines gets parental tips from shock jock Howard Stern.
Veteran funnyman Mel Brooks is to be honoured with the American Film Institute's Life Achievement Award. The Blazing Saddles director will receive the 41st honour from fellow legendary Hollywood moviemaker Martin Scorsese at a ceremony next month (Jun13).
