Actor William Shatner is hitting the road with prog-rock supergroup Circa to promote his new album of sci-fi music. Former Yes stars Billy Sherwood and Tony Kaye will back the Star Trek legend when he tours following the release of his first progressive rock album Ponder the Mystery.
Sherwood actually helped the actor create the music for his poems, which make up the tracks on the album.
The project also features guest spots from another former Yes star, Rick Wakeman, Vince Gill, Steve Vai, The Doors' Robby Krieger and Mick Jones.
And Shatner tells RollingStone.com he's really proud of his latest musical venture: "I'm learning to play the album now as we prepare for the live performances. The more I play it, the more I hear the musical overtones, the more impressed I am about my own album."

Actor Harrison Ford was recently threatened with deportation from Indonesia after a climate change interview went awry. The Indiana Jones star had scheduled an interview with forestry minister Zulkifli Hasan in Jakarta, but, according to presidential adviser Andi Arief, the politician was not properly briefed beforehand, and he took exception to Ford's film crew.
He says, "(I was) shocked that as (Ford's) crew came in, they started filming and interviewing him... and attacking him with questions. There's no privilege for him although he is a great actor.
"His crew and those who were helping him in Indonesia must be questioned to find out their motives for harassing a state institution. If necessary, we will deport him."
However, Ford and his crew left on Tuesday night (10Sep13), after wrapping up interviews for Ford's new climate change documentary Years of Living Dangerously.
Pop superstar Kylie Minogue is following her sister into the world of reality TV after landing a role on the panel of Britain's The Voice. The Australian singer has signed up to star opposite Black Eyed Peas frontman will.i.am on the British version of the popular singing show, confirming months of rumours linking her to a position on the BBC series.
Minogue confirmed the news in a post on her Twitter.com page, writing, "I'm excited to announce that I'll be coaching on BBC The Voice UK next season!"
She adds in a statement, "I'm very excited to become a coach on The Voice. I love the concept of the show and have been an avid viewer of both series. The search for new talent is such an important aspect of the music industry and The Voice gives us all a part to play in that."
Sir Tom Jones will also be on the panel for the third season of the show.
The announcement comes after Minogue reportedly turned down the chance to appear on the Australian version of the talent contest.
The Spinning Around star's singer sister Dannii has carved out a new career on the small screen in recent years, appearing on a number of different shows including Britain's The X Factor, Australia's Got Talent, Britain & Ireland's Next Top Model and The X Factor Australia.
When Parks and Recreation returns for the show’s sixth season, the cast will be a little bit smaller. It’s been confirmed both Rashida Jones and Rob Lowe will be leaving the show after its 13th episode. Jones has been with the show since the beginning playing Ann Perkins, Leslie’s beautiful tropical fish of a best friend. Meanwhile Lowe came onboard the show at the end of season 2 playing Chris Traeger as literally the biggest health nut in the world.
Last season, the on-again-off-again couple decided it was time to try for parenthood. However besides the baby storyline, both Chris and Ann have been sort of swimming in circles for some time. As sad as it will be for Leslie to lose her bestie, the choice to write the two characters off isn’t entirely shocking.
Still, who knows how the Parks creative team will choose to send Chris and Ann out of Pawnee. So in case they were stumped, here are some suggestions:
A Wedding! Who doesn’t love a wedding? Since we’ve already seen the marriage of Ben and Leslie last season, maybe it’s finally time for Chris and Ann to tie the knot before heading off into the sunset together.
A New Job OfferPerhaps Chris or Ann get a great job offer in some far-flung locale. It would explain why they would leave Pawnee, the greatest city in America. After all who would want to voluntarily leave a town with the slogan, “First in Friendship, Fourth in Obesity?”
And Baby Makes ThreeThe most obvious way to write the pair off is with Ann’s successful pregnancy. The pair are already planning for parenthood, and a plus sign on a pregnancy test would be a happy way to say goodbye.
A Very Long VacationMaybe the two decide before they get pregnant they should spend more time together? A long vacation to some tropical destination would effectively write them off the show while presenting an opportunity to bring them back at some later date.
Kidnapped By Eagleton Neighboring town Eagleton is known for being evil (and very, very clean) so perhaps they decide to kidnap Chris and Ann. After all, Eagleton is always looking for more beautiful people to outshine Pawnee.
Witness ProtectionHey, how do you know there’s no shady underground to Pawnee? Perhaps Chris or Ann see something they shouldn’t and need to go into hiding so the Pawnee mob (most likely associated with candy manufacturer Sweetums) can’t put a hit on them. It’s far-fetched, but it means when Ann and Chris stop by for visits in the future they can wear funky wigs! Who doesn’t like wigs?

Model-turned-reality TV star Tyra Banks has undergone a series of drastic transformations to pose as 15 of the world's most famous supermodels including Cindy Crawford, Kate Moss and Claudia Schiffer. The America's Next Top Model host has donned a brunette wig and a well-placed facial mole to portray Cindy Crawford, and she is seen sporting a baseball cap and a sneer while posing as British newcomer Cara Delevingne.
She has also recreated the looks of Moss and Schiffer, as well as Linda Evangelista, Jerry Hall, Grace Jones, Twiggy and Brooke Shields.
The 15 project was launched in connection with New York Fashion Week this month (Sep13) and the pictures will be exhibited in New York City until November (13).
Banks has been posting some of the images on her Twitter.com feed, and has won the praise of Crawford, who branded the shots "fierce & amazing", adding, "Work it. Love it. Tyra 15."
Former Village People star Randy Jones is to wed his partner Will Grega in New York City on Friday (13Sep13). The disco group's original cowboy will tie the knot with the Wall Street software developer on his birthday as part of a three-day celebration, which will culminate with a wedding ceremony at City Hall in Manhattan.
The wedding reception will take place at the 13th annual Kings & Cowboys Birthday Celebration of Randy Jones and Keith Collins, at the Big Apple's trendy rooftop club The DL.
Jones tells WENN, "Calling NYC home for four decades, and seeking marriage equality for nearly as long, we could not have chosen to be married in any other city in the world."
Marianne Faithfull has shattered her 1960s sex kitten reputation, insisting she was disgusted by men when she was younger. The singer/songwriter was linked to rockers including Sir Mick Jagger and David Bowie in the '60s, but admits she needed drugs or alcohol before she could be physically intimate with a partner.
Speaking on BBC TV series Who Do You Think You Are?, Faithfull explains, "I think my mother and her unconscious and unspoken loathing of men had a huge effect on me. It was a big problem for me in the Sixties, especially as I had to pretend that everything was so wonderful, wild and sexual. But it really wasn't.
"It took me years, until the time I got to 50 or so, before I could be in a relationship and love and not have to take drink or drugs to have sex."
Faithfull also romanced Rolling Stones legends Keith Richards and Brian Jones, but admits her relationship with Sir Mick was the most difficult to get over.
In the show, due to air in the U.K. on 18 September, she says, "He loved me and I loved him. I just walked away. I don't really know why. I had to move on. Of course it was very, very hard because I loved him."
Faithfull began dating the Rolling Stones frontman in the late '60s, but she ended the relationship in 1970 after miscarrying his child.
Michael Douglas has been photographed moving his belongings out the New York home he shared with his wife Catherine Zeta-Jones. The Hollywood couple announced the separation last month (Aug13) after weeks of speculation about the state of its marriage, but Douglas subsequently insisted the split is merely temporary.
However, the Wall Street star has now been seen hauling suitcases out of the Manhattan pad he shared with his partner and their two children.
Douglas was spotted dragging a large red case and several bags out of the apartment and down the street.
