Actor Andrew Garfield arrived on the Hollywood scene in the mid- to late 2000s, with supporting roles in a pair of big-screen releases: he performed alongside Robert Redford, Tom Cruise, and Meryl Streep in Redford's directorial outing Lions for Lambs (2007) and then signed for a part in Terry Gilliam's fanciful morality tale Imaginarium of Dr. Parnassus (2009).
