The British star, who began dating his TV colleague in 2008, split from Szohr in April (10) but the pair has faced constant speculation they have rekindled their romance.
Reunion rumours were further fuelled when Westwick was photographed kissing and cuddling the actress in the crowd at a tennis match in New York last Wednesday (01Sep10).
But the 23 year old insists he is still a bachelor because he has no time to date.
He tells Britain's Closer magazine, "I'm single! My English accent drives American girls crazy but I haven't got time for romance. I've always been in love with Rachel Weisz, but sadly she's taken."
"Cheryl is ideal. There's something about her accent that just does it for me. I'd love to take her for some good old-fashioned fish and chips. My dad is from the north-east and girls with those accents... well, they're just amazing." GOSSIP GIRL star ED WESTWICK has a crush on British pop star CHERYL COLE.
The former Baywatch beauty, who hit the headlines in the 1990s after filming a sex tape with her then-husband Tommy Lee, has agreed to be filmed frolicking in bed with the winner of phone firm Nokia's latest competition.
The short movie, called The Commuter, is to be shot in high definition on the company's N8 mobile handset and premiered in London next month (Oct10).
Another cameo role opposite Gossip Girl actor Ed Westwick, to be shot in an elevator, is up for grabs in the contest.
John Nichols, head of marketing at Nokia UK, explains, "We wanted to create something very special for the launch of the Nokia N8 that showcases the Hollywood quality of its camera."
The twosome, who began dating in 2008, were believed to have gone their separate ways in April (10); Szohr was rumoured to have moved on with Sebastian Stan, the ex-boyfriend of her colleague Leighton Meester.
But the couple made it clear they are still very much together with a public kiss, caught by photographers, while they watched Andy Roddick's 3-1 defeat by Serbian Janko Tipsarevic.
The Gossip Girl lovers were staying at the Hard Rock Hotel in Chicago at the weekend (07-08Aug10), where they were reportedly lined up for a public appearance.
Organisers claim they paid for Westwick and Szohr's flights and VIP tickets to the Lollapalooza festival on the condition they appear at the Hard Rock event, but they reportedly stayed in their rooms and racked up an $800 (£533) bill instead.
A source tells New York Post gossip column PageSix, "Jessica was invited and took Ed as her plus-one. They were flown first-class and given two rooms, and her talent wrangler, Aaron, agreed they would appear at night or at one of the day lounges. But they never showed up, and instead they hit the minibar and ordered room service. The bill for food and booze for three nights was over $830.
"Publicists were calling their room and banging on their door. Eventually this blew up into a big argument on Sunday... They left that night, and Jessica paid for everything."
But reps for both stars have slammed the allegations, insisting the pair would have turned up to the event if they had known they were expected.
A spokesperson for Szohr says, "If Jessica had known, she would have gone. She was never told until Sunday, and as a result she agreed to pay for everything herself and left. There was no fight."
Westwick's rep adds, "Ed went as Jessica's plus-one and had no idea about any agreement or photographs he had to take. He always honors any agreements."
The pair, who began dating in 2008, were believed to have gone their separate ways in April (10). Szohr was rumoured to have moved on with Sebastian Stan, the ex-boyfriend of her colleague Leighton Meester.
The reports were vehemently denied by her representative, and it seems Szohr is now back in Westwick's arms - the pair was seen flirting as they checked into a hotel in Chicago after filming together in July (10).
According to the New York Daily News, the pair hooked up later in the hotel's bar, with an onlooker saying, "They were taking shots. They're definitely a couple. They were kissing and holding hands."
Viewers were left wondering about Bass' future at the end of the third season when he was gunned down and left for dead by two muggers in an alleyway.
But programme-makers have given fans a huge hint that Bass survives the attack - Westwick, who plays the womanising bad-boy, was spotted on location in Paris, France, where scenes for the upcoming fourth season were being filmed, according to the New York Daily News.
"They’re all married! Scarlett Johansson is always one. Miranda Kerr is kind of one, but somebody told me she just got engaged. I like the older ones, the ones around my age, the Kristen Stewarts of the world don’t really do it for me. I’m a man with the eye on the older girl, I’m afraid." GOSSIP GIRL hunk ED WESTWICK reveals his celebrity crushes.
"Aww, I mean you know. It’s a little like this and a little like that. Look, I’m 23. How tied down can somebody be at 23 these days?" GOSSIP GIRL star ED WESTWICK continues to dodge speculation about his love life. The British actor was recently rumoured to have split from his longterm girlfriend and TV co-star JESSICA SZOHR in April (10).

Ed Westwick was an accomplished television and film actor from London who became an overnight sensation worldwide as Chuck Bass, the fictional character he played in the hedonistic teen drama, "Gossip Girl" (The CW, 2007- ), based on the popular book series about wealthy teenagers who attend an elite private school in Manhattan. The actor's realistic portrayal of the preppy man-about-town gained him a multitude of fans and helped make the show one of the network's highest rated shows. As Chuck Bass, Westwick sported some of the most eccentric and unforgettable clothes on the show - think naughty schoolboy meets punk meets haughty Manhattan haute couture. Before "Gossip Girl," Westwick impressed critics with small but memorable roles in films such Alfonso Cuaron's post-apocalyptic epic, "Children of Men" (2006), and Anthony Minghella's romantic drama, "Breaking and Entering" (2006). Playing tough, emotionally complex characters with the raw emotion and conviction of a seasoned performer established Westwick as a major television and film star to be reckoned with.
