July 11, 2012 1:15pm ESTActor Tom Hanks received an extra special treat for his 56th birthday on Monday (09Jul12) - New York Governor George Pataki delivered the star a box of chocolates and a can of Dr. Pepper while he dined at hotspot Marea with pals Martin Short and Steve Martin. The odd gesture was a nod to his role in the movie Forrest Gump. Appreciative Hanks, who attended Nora Ephron's memorial service earlier in the day, stood up and waved, shouting, "You have my vote".
