Bollywood director Krishna Shah has died at the age of 75. The filmmaker passed away in Los Angeles on 13 October (13). He had reportedly been battling illness since suffering a stroke last year (12).
Shah found fame after directing the 1978 hit Bollywood movie Shalimar, starring Dharmendra and Zeenat Aman, and he also ventured into the world of Hollywood with the 1984 movie Hard Rock Zombies.
The Bollywood star, whose parents are screen stars Dharmendra and Hema Malini, became engaged to Bharat Takhtani at a private ceremony on Sunday morning (12Feb12).
Close friends and family, including Bollywood's Jaya Bachchan, were there to witness Deol's engagement at her mother's house in north Mumbai.
Deol says, "I am happy and I thank everyone for their blessings."
Mum Hema adds, "We are very happy today for Esha and Bharat. It is a happy moment for all of us. Bharat is a very nice person. It is a private function."
