Northern Irish actor Jamie Dornan worries his baby daughter doesn't recognize him when he comes home after long periods of working away.
The Fifty Shades of Grey star became a first-time father in November, 2013, welcoming a little girl with his singer wife Amelia Warner, but he has spent a lot of time away from home working in Hollywood and he fears his absence has a negative affect on his daughter.
He tell Britain's Elle magazine, "I've had to be away the last couple of weekends, and I come back and I barely recognize her, and it's awful; she changes so much... And then I have this huge fear that she won't recognize me. The beard helps, but I had to shave it off a couple of times, so she's been shocked for the first few hours. She looks at me like: 'Do I love you? I think I love you.' I have to win back her trust."
British singer Tom Odell has recorded a version of John Lennon's song Real Love for an annual Christmas TV advertisement. The songwriter provides the soundtrack to this year's (14) traditional festive commercial for British department store John Lewis, which is titled Monty the Penguin.
Real Love was written and recorded by Lennon in 1979 but remained unreleased until after his death in 1980. It appeared on the soundtrack of 1988 documentary film Imagine: John Lennon and was later reworked by the three remaining Beatles and released as a single in 1996.
The John Lewis Christmas advert is a traditional fixture during the festive season in the U.K. and frequently boosts the careers of those involved - last year (13) Lily Allen hit the top of the British music chart with her cover of Keane's Somewhere Only We Know following its inclusion in the commercial. Ellie Goulding and actress/singer Amelia Warner have also previously taken part.
The 2014 clip will debut on U.K. screens on Friday (07Nov14).
If you’ve read 50 Shades of Grey chances are you already know where you’re going to be on Valentine’s Day: Planted in a movie theater seat with a bucket of popcorn and a bestie on either side of you, ready to watch Christian Grey and Anastasia Steele steam up the big screen. You know the book isn’t winning any Pulitzers, but there’s no shame in being super excited for the movie adaptation - especially since they cast a total hottie as everyone’s favorite sadomasochist. Here are some reasons why we’re psyched about Jamie Dornan.
1. He’s exactly what we pictured Christian Grey to look like - and he looks good in a suit.
2. He also looks good, um, out of a suit.
3. He used to be a Calvin Klein model. Google those pics immediately. We’ll wait.
4. He played a creepy serial killer in The Fall.
The Fall is a fantastic BBC series now streaming on Netflix and he played his character so well, we didn’t hate him for it. That’s not easy to do. Just ask Dexter Morgan.
5. He’s Irish. So, even though he’s playing an American as Christian Grey, you know the accent is there. And that’s automatically sexy.
6. He appeared on everyone’s favorite fairytale series, Once Upon a Time, and shockingly wasn’t playing Prince Charming. But he was still just as dreamy.
7. From the looks of the 50 Shades teaser trailer, he appears to be a very good kisser.
8. He was in Marie Antoinette with Kirsten Dunst and wore a three-corner hat like a boss.
9. He’s set to appear in a movie with Breaking Bad’s Aaron Paul called The 9th Life of Louis Drax. Might as well just take our money now!
10. He may have smoldering good looks, but he’s a family man at heart.
Dornan is married to English singer-songwriter Amelia Warner and they have a baby girl together. Aww.
11. This face.
Still not convinced he’ll make a good Christian Grey? Sorry, we can’t be friends.

Samina, who is married to Dornan's father Jim, tells Northern Irish newspaper The Sunday Life, "Jim and I are delighted that our third grandchild is on the way... The early wellbeing scanning was a beautiful and emotional experience for all present."

British actor Jamie Dornan had to win back his new wife Amelia Warner's trust after she was left terrified by his portrayal of a serial killer in new U.K. series The Fall. The former model only married the singer/songwriter in April (13), but he reveals she was frightened of him after watching him play a psychopath in the crime drama.
He tells Britain's Culture magazine, "My wife hadn't seen the third episode, so we watched it the other night. She was a little bit wary of me for about half an hour after it finished. I had to win back her trust. It's interesting. I guess I didn't quite realise I was capable of coming across as so dark. Everyone in the process of casting me must always have seen that darkness in me. Yet I'm not sure I even saw it myself. Basically, it must have been inside me, which is kind of worrying."
Dornan also admits even he feels uncomfortable watching himself in the role, adding, "In truth, I struggle a bit - we didn't film it in any sequential order. When you see it all put together, and the proximity of what he's doing at home with his kids and what he's doing at night, what he gets off on - I do struggle. I understand why people find that tough to watch."
