Actress Lea Michele has paid tribute to her late boyfriend Cory Monteith on the first anniversary of his death. Monteith died in a hotel room in Vancouver, Canada following a drug and alcohol-related overdose a year ago and on Sunday (13Jul14), the Glee star took to Twitter.com to honour the tragic actor. Sharing a picture of Monteith on the beach on the social networking site, she writes, "We hold you in our hearts today, and every day we remember your smile. We will love you and miss you always." Michele also posted a photo of herself and Monteith on Instagram.com. The actress was not the only Glee castmember to pay tribute to Monteith on Sunday. Actor Matthew Morrison writes, "I personally believe Cory was reborn into some other beautiful form a year ago today. I celebrate him and his life... Wherever that may be," while Amber Riley adds, "I remember your smile and your warm hugs! 1 year without you and your presence is still felt. Miss and love u everyday big bro Our Angel (sic)".
Pop star Miley Cyrus has paid tribute to her beloved dog Floyd by having a tattoo of the late pooch inked onto her left ribcage.
The Wrecking Ball hitmaker was plunged into despair in April (14) when the Alaskan Klee Kai died and she recently decided to honour his memory with a piece of skin art.
She showed off the circular tattoo, featuring a portrait of Floyd and the words, "With a little help from my fwends (friends)", on her Instagram.com page on Sunday (06Jul14) and simply captioned the image, "#floydtat".
She also shared a snap of herself pulling up her shirt to display the inking while posing alongside two friends, who had matching tattoos on their bodies too.
Cyrus recently welcomed new dog Emu Coyne Cyrus into her family, but insisted the animal would never replace Floyd, declaring, "There will never be anyone like Floyd. There was a bond that was so deep it's irreplaceable but that's not what I am trying to do. Never will I replace Floyd and that's something I had to take time to understand. We had a very special memorial service for Floyd and I felt my angel Floydy give Emu his blessing..."
Model Ireland Baldwin has broken her silence about her romance with rapper Angel Haze, insisting the media should be happy for the couple. Bisexual Haze, real name Raykeea Angel Wilson, confirmed reports she was dating Alec Baldwin and Kim Basinger's daughter last week (ends27Jun14), attacking press claims the couple was just friends.
She raged, "An interracial gay couple, I mean that's just weird right now. We f**k and friends don't f**k. I've never f**ked one of my friends. Once I see you in that way, it doesn't happen."
And now Baldwin has responded to her girlfriend's outrage on Twitter.com, writing, "these gossip sites and articles need to relax. they twist words to make their lame publications more exciting.
"making this about race or the fact that were (we are) both women is rather outdated. this is a new world we live in people... our private life should be respected as well. a lot of claims have been recently posted that we're never said. reporters like to take... our words, alter them to their benefit and run. it's not cool. we're happy. we're healthy. that's all that matters."
"I welcomed Emu Coyne Cyrus into the family a couple days ago... There will never be anyone like Floyd. There was a bond that was so deep it's irreplaceable but that's not what I am trying to do. Never will I replace Floyd and that's something I had to take time to understand. We had a very special memorial service for Floyd and I felt my angel Floydy give Emu his blessing..." Miley Cyrus introduces her fans to new pooch Emu and assures them she will not forget about her dog Floyd, who died in April (14).
Rapper Angel Haze has made it clear she is more than just friends with Alec Baldwin's daughter Ireland, insisting the couple is in love. Model Ireland Baldwin, whose mother is actress Kim Basinger, had fans guessing about the status of her relationship with the bisexual hip-hop star in May (14), when she shared a photo of the pair locking lips and another image of her gazing at Haze, alongside the caption, "this is what they're always talkin' 'bout."
Haze, 22, has now opened up about their romance in a bid to convince some of the more conservative members of the press to stop referring to them as just "best friends".
She tells Britain's The Independent newspaper, "An interracial gay couple, I mean that's just weird right now. We f**k and friends don't f**k. I've never f**ked one of my friends. Once I see you in that way, it doesn't happen."
She has also credited 18-year-old Baldwin with helping to change her view on what real love is.
She continues, "When you find love it definitely amends your perspective on certain things. I was dating a guy I really liked about a year ago and being around him and realising so many things about myself totally made me hate the traditional ideas of what a relationship should be, of what romance should be.
"You go out and you're searching for this Utopian feeling, butterflies; that thing where you can't stop thinking about them. It doesn't have to be so overwhelming."
It appears Baldwin is bisexual as well - she started 2014 dating surfer Slater Trout. The couple went public with it's brief romance on the red carpet at a party to mark the 50th anniversary of the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue in January (14).
Embattled actress Amanda Bynes has undergone laser surgery to remove a number of her tattoos. The Hairspray star, who was photographed with bandages on her forearm earlier this year (14), was recently snapped out in Las Vegas with a noticeably faded inking in that area, while she has also been seen with a lightened design of angel wings near her elbow. The 28 year old is in the process of rebuilding her life following a series of legal issues and an extended stay in a mental treatment facility last year (13).
Rocker Jack White has returned to the top of the U.S. album charts with the biggest vinyl sales week since 1991. Lazaretto bows atop the Billboard 200 with 138,000 first-week sales and 40,000 of those were old school records - 6,000 more than Pearl Jam's Vitalogy back in 1994.
The vinyl release of the album features unique qualities - it plays at three different speeds, has a hidden track under the centre label and features an angel hologram effect.
Last week's Billboard 200 chart-topper, Miranda Lambert's Platinum, slips to a distant number two, while the Frozen soundtrack slides a spot to three, and Brantley Gilbert's Just As I Am and the soundtrack to The Fault in Our Stars round out the new top five.
British supermodel Cara Delevingne initially refused to watch her starring role in TV movie Timeless because she was convinced her acting was "horrible". The catwalk beauty, who made her acting debut in 2012 movie Anna Karenina, landed a leading role in Timeless, in which she plays a young woman forced to look after her great-grandmother.
However, Delevingne could not bring herself to watch her star turn, telling Seven Days magazine, "I couldn't watch Timeless at first - I couldn't let anyone watch it, I couldn't hear it or see it, it was horrible! "When you watch your own stuff, you can't get past your own performance... It's the same with modelling photos. I'm very critical of myself so I hate to look at my stuff but then you always want to improve. I managed to watch it in the end."
Later this year (14), the model will be seen in psychological thriller The Face of an Angel, indie film Kids in Love and drama London Fields. Timeless will air in the U.K. on Thursday (19Jun14).
A timely phone call from her father stopped former 90210 star Annalynne Mccord from taking her own life after a bad break-up with an ex-boyfriend in Spain. After years of sexual abuse at the hands of boyfriends she urged to be violent with her in bed, the troubled actress found herself in Madrid with one beau shortly after an alleged rape at her home in Los Angeles.
Speaking candidly and emotionally about the moment she almost committed suicide, McCord tells Access Hollywood, "I found someone who would abuse me as much as I'd abuse myself and one time while I was in Madrid... it just hit a little too hard.
"People who are suicidal don't think one day, 'Oh, I'm gonna kill myself and they do it,' they've been thinking that for a long time... I would write poetry in Sharpie on my arm and sometimes I would cut and smear my blood into the poetry."
And then one day, the actress decided to end the pain by killing herself: "I had the pills in my hand and I had the water bottle next to me... Maybe the fact I'm an actress and I'm a drama queen saved me in that moment because I screamed... at the top of my lungs, like, 'Stop...' to myself.
"I just released enough to be able to think clearly again and realise I'm not gonna end my life right now, and then my dad called... and I was like, 'Daddy, I'm in a really bad place, I'm so glad you called'."
His chat gave McCord the strength to call her older sister Angel and ask for her help.
She adds, "In 17 hours she was with me... We went to Barcelona together and we just breathed together and then I was OK. It never got that bad again."
