Jason Momoa has recruited the "water men" of his family to help him perfect superhero Aquaman.
The former Game of Thrones star recently confirmed he will be playing the wet stud in the Man of Steel sequel, Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, and he's taking the role very seriously so he doesn't disappoint his Polynesian ancestors. He tells LatinoReview.com, "The greatest thing for me is that Polynesians, our gods, Kahoali, Maui, (are) all these water gods, so it's really cool and a honour to be playing the character. And there's not too many brown superheroes, so I'm really looking forward to representing the Polynesians, the natives. "My family are some of the greatest water men on earth. I'm not, but I'm going to go train with them... Water is the most important thing in this world and we all know it. "(Director) Zack Snyder's a genius, so I'm really excited to be hanging out with him."
R&B star Jordin Sparks has signed on as the new face of migraine medication Excedrin after revealing she suffers from blinding and debilitating headaches, just like her mum. The Battlefield singer appears in new ads for Excedrin Migraine and admits she can now understand what her mother went through when she was a child and she was told to go out and play in the yard so mum could sleep.
Sparks, who recently split from boyfriend Jason DeRulo, says, "They (migraines) used to knock her (mum) out. She had to be on the couch with the lights off and we had to go play way out in the yard. It was really scary because mommy couldn't get up... You just didn't know what was happening and it was hard for her to explain.
"Then, after my world kind of turned upside down some eight years ago with American Idol, from being a 17-year-old kid to trying to navigate life as a recording artist... The stress was really overwhelming and I suffered my first migraine and it was really frightening.
"My equilibrium was off, I couldn't walk, I was dizzy, nauseous, light and sound bothered me... and Excedrin worked for my mom, so naturally that's what I grabbed.
"A migraine will kind of knock you down and I really don't have time for that."
Actor Jason Schwartzman once posed as Red Hot Chili Peppers frontman Anthony Kiedis after a fan mistook him for the rocker. The Saving Mr. Banks star was out jogging a few years ago, when a fan approached him and asked him to sign some of his possessions, but the items turned out to be Red Hot Chili Peppers memorabilia.
He says, "This man came out... and he was holding some paraphernalia...He came up to me and he said, 'It's good to see you, how are you?' and I said, 'I'm good,' and he said, 'I'm a big fan are you still making music?' and I said, 'Yeah, I try to make music everyday...'
"So basically he said, 'Would you mind signing some stuff?' and I said, 'No, not a problem...,' and he handed me all this Red Hot Chili Peppers stuff... and it had everybody's signature in the band (on it)... He's like, 'I got Flea, I got Chad (Smith), I just don't got you Anthony'.
"I was so deep in this conversation with this man, it would be embarrassing to the both of us if I said, 'I'm not Anthony Kiedis'. So to make him feel OK, I became Anthony Kiedis..."
Comedienne Chelsea Handler couldn't escape Jason Biggs' pee stream during a recent boating vacation with the actor and his wife - because she was too busy laughing to swim away. The moment the American Pie star decided to relieve himself off the side of a boat onto Handler as she clung to the vessel was caught on video and has since gone viral, and now the funnywoman is explaining why she found Biggs' urine hilarious.
Appearing on U.S. late night show Conan on Wednesday (15Oct14), she said, "I did not want to be urinated on... (but) it did happen and I'm still here.
"I got off the boat... and the tide was very strong and so I was holding on to it (the boat), because we were getting in another boat to go to the beach... All of a sudden I looked up and Jason's penis was there and he was urinating on my face, and I thought it was so funny that somebody would pee on someone's face that I was laughing so hard, I couldn't swim away... so I was trapped.
"I can take one for the team. If somebody needs to get urinated on I am happy to do that... Who cares? You're in the ocean... That's like a human toilet anyway... I can deal with it. I don't have a problem with urine.
"To me it's funny that someone could be that rude to another person, so that made me really happy."
When Jordin Sparks was just 17, she won season six of American Idol and rose to instant fame and success. The stresses that come along with the industry sparked the Grammy-nominated singer’s first migraine: "Trying to navigate through all the stresses that came with that was very crazy, and I suffered my first migraine."
Stress is a trigger for many migraine sufferers. For Sparks, "stress comes in a whole bunch of different packages and comes from different places and people and things." One can only assume that her very public breakup from Jason Derulo would be a major source of stress for the 24-year-old songbird. Just some of the breakup rumors include: infidelity, an unplanned pregnancy, and pressure to propose, to name a few. Thankfully, Sparks has discovered Excedrin Migraine as a great source of relief for her stress-induced migraines. Go to Facebook.com/Excedrin to read more about how Sparks has been able to find migraine relief as well as stories from other migraine sufferers.
Headaches and breakups aside, Sparks appears to be in very good spirits, laughing and showing off her megawatt smile throughout our sit-down. And she has lots of things going on in her life besides a breakup. For starters, she’s starring in a movie alongside Nicolas Cage.
"It’s still surreal… I had this moment of like, This is happening. I’m actually in a movie with Nicolas Cage." Sparks is talking about the apocalyptic thriller Left Behind, in theaters now. She read all the books growing up and is thrilled to be in the film. "It’s a very interesting movie to a part of… I was very happy to be a part of that." Perhaps this is the beginning of a burgeoning new movie career for the singer.
We may be seeing more of the American Idol vet on the small screen, returning to her roots at Idol in some form in the future. She said she would love to come on the show as a mentor. When asked if she would ever consider being a judge, she seemed reluctant: "You know I don’t know if I could be. Well… If you would have asked me that a couple years ago, I probably would have said no… Now that it’s been about eight years... I feel like I could."
She does have an opinion about current judges JLo, Keith Urban and Harry Connick, Jr. Although she is a "huge fan of all of them individually," she told us, "I do have an allegiance to the original judges." Who doesn’t miss the original three - Simon Cowell, Paula Abdul and Randy Jackson?
Sparks is currently in the studio working on her new album and told Hollywood.com: "It’s coming a lot sooner than you think." The platinum-selling artist told us to expect her third album to drop before the end of 2014. It’s been five years since she’s put out any new music and Sparks said her new sound is "very different," and you can expect it to not really sound like her old stuff at all. "I’ve grown a lot. I’ve experienced a lot. I feel like I’m coming into my womanhood and stepping into that, so… I can relate to different things now." She certainly has been through a lot recently and all that life experience and emotion will undoubtedly come through in her songs. She told us to "expect the unexpected."

Lupita Nyong'o walked away from a role in a Broadway show to take a part in the new Star Wars movie, according to a U.S. report.
The 12 Years A Slave star was reportedly offered the chance to make her debut on the Great White Way opposite Jake Gyllenhaal in a production of Nick Payne's play Constellations, but turned it down. Editors of the New York Post's Page Six gossip column report Nyong'o walked away from the role so she could appear in upcoming blockbuster Star Wars: Episode VII.
British actress Ruth Wilson has signed up to star with Gyllenhaal in Constellations. Representatives from the show declined to comment.
Jason Derulo has fired back at reports suggesting an unplanned pregnancy was behind his split from singer Jordin Sparks. The R&B star has already dismissed rumours alleging "infidelity, cheating or deceit" prompted last week's (ends26Sep14) shock break-up, and now the Talk Dirty hitmaker is taking aim at gossips who have suggested the split was linked to baby news.
DeRulo called in to DJ Ryan Seacrest's U.S. radio show on Monday morning (29Sep14) to clear up the latest reports, and he told the host, "I'm not one to throw my business out on the street, but I thought it was important because things are getting a little out of hand. I'm seeing all kind of stories about somebody getting pregnant, infidelity, things like me calling it off because of me being too busy and because of my new-found success. So I thought it was important for me to call in and clear the air.
"In a nutshell, there was a lot of tension in the relationship for a lot of different reasons. Every relationship has ups and downs. There was a lot of pressures of marriage (sic). There was a lot of arguing and stuff like that that just weighed on our relationship over time.
"When you stop having more good times than bad times, it's time to call it quits. It becomes something that is unhealthy."
DeRulo admitted that he and his now-ex are not yet on speaking terms following the break-up, but he hopes they can move past that.
He added, "I wouldn't say (we're on) good terms. I'll be lying if I said that, but it's not a bad situation. There's no bad blood. We didn't end off on a weird way or a negative way. It's not like we're hitting each other up, like, 'Hey, what are you doing today?'"
And he revealed that the time the couple spent apart weighed heavily on himself and Sparks: "We think it may have weighed on her more than it weighed on me. Yeah, she got frustrated a lot. She was in that frustrated space a lot and I think part of that was part of my problem...
"Three years... (is a) very long time. I think sometimes you can be in a relationship so long, it becomes a part of your life and you feel like you're obligated. And when you start feeling obligated and you start feeling like it's something you have to do because it's necessary, like breathing, that's not a good situation either. It should be something different."
Meanwhile, Sparks has broken her silence over the split. She has released a philosophical statement that reads: "The funny thing is that I read this quote... yesterday and it said, 'When something unexpected happens in your life or you think something bad happens just say plot twist! and move on'."
"We've been on cloud nine the past few days!! My heart has never been more full of happiness and love. Can't wait to spend the rest of my life with this man. So many blessings and memories are in our future and SO thankful I get to share them with him. Thanks for all the support and kind words y'all have given us." Singer Brittany Kerr gushes about her new fiance Jason Aldean, who proposed on Tuesday (23Sep14).
Singers Jordin Sparks and Jason Derulo have split, according to U.S. reports. The R&B stars have been dating for three years, and appeared to be very much in love when they hit the red carpet together at the MTV Video Music Awards in Los Angeles last month (Aug14), but things went downhill from there it seems, and now sources tell multiple media outlets the pair has split.
There's no official word on the story, but Derulo, 25, has recently been spotted out and about without Sparks, while she hit Twitter.com last week (15Sep14) and wrote, "I just wrote the saddest song of my life".
The news emerges five months after Talk Dirty hitmaker DeRulo revealed he had penned a track about feeling under pressure to propose to Sparks.
Discussing the song Marry Me, he told MTV, "I was just trying to explain that we have forever, so what's the rush... There is a lot of pressure, and there was a lot of pressure before the song. I wrote the song because of the pressure and then I made the pressure worse because people just listen to the chorus and all they hear is 'Will you marry me?' so they're like 'Oh you're proposing' I'm like 'No'.
"In the song I'm saying when the time is right, I'm saying we have the rest of our lives. So the perfect time is on its way."
