Singer Jessica Simpson has become Mrs. Eric Johnson after tying the knot in Santa Barbara, California. The bride wore a custom Carolina Herrera gown as she wed former American football player Johnson at the San Ysidro Ranch on Saturday (05Jul14) in front of more than 250 guests, including her sister Ashlee Simpson and her fiance Evan Ross, best friend CaCee Cobb and her actor husband Donald Faison, and pal Jessica Alba and her partner Cash Warren.
The happy couple's two-year-old daughter Maxwell served as a flower girl and its one-year-old son Ace was given the role of ring bearer. Ashlee's five-year-old boy with ex-husband Pete Wentz, Bronx, also took part in the ceremony.
A statement issued by the newlyweds to People.com reads: "We are overwhelmed with complete happiness and love having made our eternal commitment.
"To say 'I do' in front of family, friends and, most importantly, our children has been the happiest moment of our lives."
The nuptials took place a day after Simpson and Johnson hosted a pre-wedding barbecue at the same venue to celebrate America's Independence Day (04Jul14) with all of their guests.
The couple began dating in early 2010 and became engaged on the blonde beauty's 30th birthday in November of that year (10), but the pair had to postpone plans to wed twice after the 33 year old fell pregnant with their kids.
Simpson was previously married to singer Nick Lachey from 2002 to 2006.
New mum Ciara has given fans a sneak peek at what she may look like on her wedding day by posing in various designer gowns for America's Brides magazine.
The Goodies hitmaker, who is engaged to wed rapper Future, features on the cover of the new August/September (14) issue wearing an embroidered Chantilly lace Reem Acra gown with sheer sleeves, while she also plays dress up in other shots by trying on designs from coveted fashion gurus Tara LaTour and Mark Zunzino.
In the accompanying article, the singer admits her nuptials will be "indoors and black tie", although she has yet to reveal which designer she has chosen for her big day. However, she has clear ideas for the colour palette, insisting, "I'm not into loud colours. I like black and white, classic and clean."
She has also shared details about her bridal party, revealing her close friend, TV personality LaLa Anthony, will be a matron of honour and adding, "There will be five or six (bridesmaids) and two matrons of honour. They'll all wear the same colour, but in different styles to suit their personalities. I want my ladies to look amazing!"
And Ciara wants to make sure guests will dance the night away by recruiting some of her famous pals to perform. She adds, "A few of our friends will sing. We'll have a great DJ - good old soul mixed with new stuff. You want people to say, 'This is my jam!'"
Ciara and Future, who welcomed baby Future Zahir in May (14), became engaged in October (13) and are expected to tie the knot in the coming months.
Defiant red carpet prankster Vitalii Sediuk is thankful he mistook America Ferrera for Cate Blanchett at the Cannes Film Festival in France last month (May14) - because he's convinced he would be facing a sexual harassment charge if he'd have ambushed the Australian actress. The former Ukrainian journalist was arrested after trying to clamber under a stunned Ferrera's gown at Cannes.
The prank cost him his job at Ukraine's 1+1 TV, but he insists it could have been much worse had he not confused the Ugly Betty star with the Oscar winner from behind.
Sediuk, who is currently serving community service in Los Angeles after attacking Brad Pitt on the red carpet at the Hollywood Maleficent premiere in May (14), tells The Hollywood Reporter, "Actually, I was going for Cate Blanchett. I thought, 'OK, Cate Blanchett is a major star; she'll have the bigger dress'.
"The police asked me, 'Did you see anything?' And I said, 'No, because the dress was many layers'."
Blanchett, by contrast, was wearing a sheer Givenchy skirt.
Sediuk adds, "It would have been a sexual harassment."
And, asked about his red carpet attack on Pitt, Sediuk is refusing to feel bad about his actions, adding, "He has everything you can imagine. And I'm cleaning toilets? Sorry, but excuse me."
Sir Ian Mckellen was honoured with a special degree from his alma mater in Cambridge, England on Wednesday (18Jun14). The Lord of the Rings star, 75, won a scholarship to study English literature at Britain's prestigious Cambridge University when he was 18 years old and he returned to his former college on Wednesday to pick up a doctorate.
McKellen donned a cap and gown to be named an honorary Doctor of Letters for his services to acting. He received the same title from the University of Ulster in Ireland last year (13).
Rapper Pitbull has been honoured with a degree from Doral College. The Timber hitmaker was feted in Miami, Florida on Tuesday (17Jun14).
During his commencement speech, he said, "I remember being kicked out of a public school because I didn't have the right address. That's why I want better schools for the kids who live where I grew up.
"That's why Doral Academy was founded, and that's why I helped create SLAM (Sports Leadership and Management Academy) in the neighborhood where I grew up... a school that offers a choice for students, like me, students who need someone to inspire them, someone to believe in them."
He later added on Twitter.com, "for those that didn't believe..." accompanied with a picture of himself holding his degree in a college graduation cap and gown - and flipping his middle finger at the camera.
Doral College is a non-accredited institution.
Kendall Jenner makes a great point about the show-stopping Fausto Puglisi dress she wore to the 2014 Much Music Video Awards: " why do one slit when you can do TWO!? #MMVAs"
Indeed, Kendall. Indeed:
That's a whole lot of pelvic bone, though it needs to be said that the dress is stunning. Is this gown a little too sexy for young Kendall?

Actress Eva Longoria played the role of bridesmaid when one of her pals tied the knot in Los Angeles on Saturday (14Jun14). The former Desperate Housewives star stood by her pal Bonnie Rodezno as one of six bridesmaids.
Wearing a one-shoulder lilac gown, Longoria was photographed carrying a bouquet of white and pink roses and holding the hand of a young ring bearer, who held a sign which read 'Here Comes the Bride'.
Longoria, who took her businessman beau Jose Antonio Baston to the nuptials as her date, posted a series of photos from the big day on her Twitter.com page - one featured the star and three of her fellow bridesmaids wearing traditional Mexican Day of the Dead skeleton masks, along with the caption, "La hora loca!!! (The crazy hour)".
Singer Jessica Simpson is keeping the date of her upcoming wedding secret from her close friends and family. The star is rumoured to have picked America's Independence Day (04Jul14) for her wedding to Eric Johnson, and she fuelled speculation about her big day by throwing a bachelorette party in Los Angeles on Sunday (08Jun14).
However, Simpson's singer sister Ashlee insists even she does not know when the couple's wedding will be.
She tells Usmagazine.com, "I don't know when it is!... I'm really excited about it."
Ashlee will be a bridesmaid at the ceremony, and reveals she is pleased with the gown her sister has picked out for her.
She adds, "My dress is really beautiful! It's really, really stunning."

It's hard not to feel worried for Marvel's Ant-Man, a project that was put in serious creative jeopardy when director Edgar Wright suddenly left the film to which he had been attached since 2006. In the fallout, Marvel was left with a gaping hole in the center of one of it’s most interesting projects, but after a couple weeks of scrambling, the studio has assembled a new creative team for the project. Director Peyton Reed has been chosen to helm Ant-Man in the wake of Wright with Adam McKay, who was formally in the pool of directors being considered by Marvel, helping to rewrite the script. While Reed's filmography isn't as impressive as Wright's at first glance, there is some hidden potential buried in the director's short body of work: his underappreciated comedies Yes Man and Bring It On, to be specific.
Jim Carrey, physical comedian extraordinaire, is second only to Charlie Chaplin in his ability to contort and tax his body for amusement, and Reed get's the most out of the actor's mostly rubber body in 2008's Yes Man. While the film mostly feels like a retread of Carrey's earlier modern fairy tale Liar Liar, there are some engaging moments, including this scene where Carrey careens down the streets of Los Angeles on a Ducati while just barely clad in a billowy hospital gown.
The scene offers some impressive stunt work as Carrey zips through traffic, but it's the little things that really pop and make the scene noteworthy. The awkward flailing of limbs as Carrey's character just barely holds onto the beast of the machine displays Reed's ability to meld action and comedy. Seeing as how a great chase sequence has become a requisite part of any Marvel film (think back to Nick Fury's fantastic car chase at the start of Captain America: The Winter Soldier), having a director that can infuse comedy into adrenaline pumping action is a huge asset.
You may have missed it, but buried about a minute into the credits of Yes Man was a mid-credit scene featuring Jim Carrey and Zooey Deschanel strapping on suits made out of roller blades and careening down a twisty mountain road. Again, Reed shows his knack for blending action and comedy, something that an Ant-Man script written by Adam Mckay and possibly still possessing some of Edgar Wright's comedic DNA would benefit from.
Finally, we recall the cult hit Bring It On. Everybody remembers the sass and spirit fingers, but Reed's seminal cheerleading comedy also has some really dizzying cheerleader choreography, especially during the film's climax where the two rival high schools do battle with increasingly complicated cheer routines.
With a film like Ant-Man, whose action scenes will likely hinge on complex and unique choreography, a director with knowledge of how to construct an involved and dense setpiece with multiple performers is a must, and Peyton has that experience with Bring It On.

Rihanna has taken a swipe at the surviving stars of girl group Tlc after they warned today's young female pop singers not to strip off for a career boost.
Rozonda 'Chilli' Thomas and Tionne 'T-Boz' Watkins, who formed the band with late member Lisa 'Left Eye' Lopes, have spoken out to criticise current chart stars who appear to flaunt their sexuality in order to get ahead, insisting they achieved superstar status in the 1990s without baring all. Thomas told the Sydney Morning Herald, "At the end of the day the music speaks for itself, you don't have to take your clothes off if your music is great, " while Watkins told the Sydney Daily Telegraph, "We're not raggin' on (criticising) the girls who choose to do that, we just want girls to know you don't have to do that, it's not the only way. You don't have to be naked, you can just sing."
Rihanna, who is known for her provocative music videos and revealing outfits, now appears to have hit back at the singers over the comments by posting an old photo on her Twitter.com page showing TLC posing topless. The snap, which Rihanna has splashed as her banner on the social networking website, shows Watkins and Thomas covering their breasts with their hands.
The Umbrella star also added a picture of herself pulling a funny face and wrote in a post, "When there's no changing the fact that I'm me, and they're well... they're them." The row comes just days after Rihanna appeared at a fashion event in New York wearing a sheer gown which showed off her bare breasts and butt.
