Adam Barker, 44, was quizzed by cops over the allegations in 2004 and subsequently went into hiding before eventually handing himself in to authorities in July (12).
He pleaded guilty to 20 charges, relating to indecent images of children found on his computer, last month (Sep12), and on Friday (19Oct12) he appeared at Isleworth Crown Court in London to hear his sentence.
Judge Rosa Dean told Barker his offending "contributed to the degradation and continuing abuse of children" and handed him a one-year jail term.
Barker was also added to the Sex Offenders Register for 10 years and has been banned from working with youngsters in the future.
You may need to give the real Slim Shady just a little more time to stand up: He's officially over the hill at age 40. I know, I know. That's crazy. But math doesn't lie and Marshall Mathers was born Oct. 17, 1972 in Missouri. That means Eminem is 40. Mind. Blown. His mature age is certainly going to make any performances of "The Real Slim Shady" feel just a little off and it gives a whole new meaning to this agist passage: "'Cause at the rate I'm goin' when I'm thirty/ I'll be the only person in the nursin' home flirting/ Pinchin' nurses' asses when I'm j***in off with Jergens." Where's your walker, Mr. Mathers? If this fun little fact didn't blow your mind sufficiently, we've gathered a list of people and things who have also celebrated their 40th birthdays this year: HBOThe Transamerica BuildingAtariThe Clean Water ActZiggy Stardust by David BowieSnapple The series finale of Bewitched Carnival Cruises The Eagles George Carlin's "Seven Words You Can Never Say on Television" The Miami Dolphins Nerf Basketball "Hey, Mikey! When The Price is Right made its TV debut in 1956 girls everywhere were jumping for joy at the thought of a new vacuum cleaner and shiny free car. Guys on the other hand? They were more excited about the show's hot female models. But all that is about to change. (Don't worry, the girls aren't going anywhere.)
After years of Bob Barker — and more recently funnyman Drew Carey — being the only form of "male eye candy", CBS has announced it is adding another man to the mix. After a month-long search, the network has chosen 24-year-old Rob Wilson to appear alongside the showcase showgirls starting October 15. The Boston-area actor will join the ladies for a minimum of one week, doing his best to bring attention to things like washing machines and grocery items.
After 56-years on the air, it was about time someone realized that the only people on the show who were scantily-clad were the girls. It was that, or no one wanted to see Carey prancing around in a bathing suit. Either way, we're just excited for the change of scenery.

Adam Barker, 44, was first quizzed by cops over the allegations in 2004 and subsequently went into hiding before eventually handing himself in to authorities in July (12).
He appeared at Isleworth Crown Court in London on Friday (28Sep12) and pleaded guilty to 20 charges, stemming from indecent images of children found on his computer.
He faces up to five years in prison when he sentenced on 19 October (12).
The honour, which is traditionally placed at significant historical sites all over Britain, will be unveiled at the property in Oxford, England on Saturday (29Sep12).
It will be revealed by the Lord Mayor of Cowley, Councillor Alan Armitage, and chairman of the local City Of Oxford School, which donated the plaque.
The British TV legend enjoyed his first time in the spotlight in Oxford as part of an amateur dramatic group and lived in the area all his life until his death in 2005.
Every day it seems like Amanda Bynes is making headlines for another incident where she has gotten in trouble with the law while driving her car. The 26-year-old actress has already had her license revoked and is also battling charges of DUI and two hit-and-runs in court. But despite the charges and a judge's warning to not get behind the wheel, Bynes tells People in a new interview that she is doing "amazing." She also claims that she doesn't drink and get behind the wheel.
"I am doing amazing," Bynes says. "I am retired as an actor. I am moving to New York to launch my career. I am going to do a fashion line," added Bynes, who was polite, respectful and upbeat on the phone. "I am not talking about being arrested for DUI because I don't drink, and I don't drink and drive. It is all false."
But people around Bynes don't agree that the star is okay. "People around Amanda are really concerned about her," a source tells People. "She tells people she doesn't party or drink. She doesn't realize she has a problem."
Last week, Bynes was reprimanded by a judge and told to hand over her keys and stay off the road. Bynes' attorney Richard Hutton appeared in court again Wednesday on behalf of the actress. According to TMZ, during this hearing, the District Attorney's Office requested a $50,000 bail be set on Bynes for her DUI that allegedly took place in April — but the judge denied the request. Still, if Bynes breaks any more of her driving rules, then a very high bail amount will be set.

The two celebrities have joined People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals activists in calling for the reform of the No Animals Harmed... label given to film projects that are given the American Humane Association (AHA)'s stamp of approval whenever horses, dogs, cats and other furry friends are used.
Barker and Simon will stage a press conference to launch the campaign on Thursday (13Sep12), when they will ask AHA officials to investigate claims that animals are being mistreated on sets.
PETA bosses claim the AHA has failed to adequately oversee several recent and current film and TV productions, where animals have been injured and killed.
The campaign launch comes just months after PETA chiefs won a major battle with TV executives at HBO over horse racing drama Luck following the deaths of two horses.
The animal rights activists fought to shut the set down after the tragedies and creators and producers agreed to cease production.
The projects that have come under fire for questionable treatment of animals include The Lone Ranger, There Will Be Blood, Failure to Launch and The Hobbit.
PETA bosses have revealed they received information about the mistreatment of animals on these and other film sets from "whistleblowers" after they released leaked information about the deaths of the horses on the set of Luck.
Announcing the new campaign to force AHA officials to take action, PETA's Senior Vice President Kathy Guillermo tells WENN, "Moviegoers can't rely on the assurance that 'no animals were harmed' if the very people standing on film sets to safeguard animals are the ones placing animals at risk. The reports of complicity and complacency that PETA has received suggest a broken system that must be fixed immediately, before one more animal is injured or killed."
If there’s one series you expect to be bereft of all scandals and similar nonsense, it’s the Price is Right. It’s the show you watch when you’re home sick, nursing a cup of chicken noodle soup with a blanket wrapped around your head. Sure, Drew Carey’s “have your pets spayed or neutered” doesn’t have the same ring as Bob Barker’s, but it’s still very much a creature comfort. But even the most innocuous shows can be tinged with scandal, it seems.
Just this week, on Sept. 4, The Price is Right aired its 40th Anniversary special and one person was conspicuously missing. Where was the original PIR host, Barker? Fans were incensed at the lack of good ol’ BB, and it seems that his obvious absence was not his doing. On Sept. 5, Barker told AP that he was left out by CBS as they prepared for the special, saying producers “chose to ignore me, which is fine.”
Barker alleges that CBS left him out because of his strong stance on animal issues – just look at the aforementioned “spay or neuter your pets” line, which was (and still is) repeated at the end of each episode. Despite Barker’s accusation, CBS has no comment.
And as ridiculous as this PIR “scandal” may seem, it’s actually not the first.
In 2008, the series endured The Great Plinko Rigging Debacle. At the time, TMZ had discovered that the show often rigged the famous Plinko game board for the purpose of filming promotional spots. Using fishing wire, the crew would ensure that game pieces always went into the $10,000 slot for commercial shots. However, in one case, the crew left the fishing wire on and one contestant made it all the way to $30,000 before someone stopped the madness. The contestant then restarted the game in order to re-shoot the scene for television and CBS still gave her the 30k she won due to their mistake. (Of course the show’s “cheating” scandal ends in a show of good will and a little TV magic.)
But wait! There's more: The series also found itself in the middle of scandal after a number of the game show's models sued the series for reasons such as sexual harassment, racial discrimination, pregnancy discrimination, and other forms of exclusion and harassment. For the most part, these cases have settled out of court, but the latest one, filed in Sept. 2011 against producers Michael Richards and Adam Sandler (no, not the famous actors – just two guys who happen to have the same names as two famous actors) by model Lanisha Cole has yet to be settled. Cole, however, has vacated her position at The Price is Right.
Suddenly, the sleepy ol’ Price is Right doesn’t seem so sleepy after all. Who knows, maybe we’ll even see it get its own lawyer spin-off: Law & Order: PIR, anyone?

Somewhere over the rainbow a scarecrow, a tin-man and a formerly cowardly lion are in grave danger, and once again it’s up to Dorothy to save the day. Oh, and her little dog too! In the newest adaptation of the cult classic, Glee’s Lea Michele lends her phenomenal voice to the big screen as the leading lady in Dorothy of Oz.
When the Kansas native is magically whisked back to the land of the yellow brick road, she finds the newest villain — an evil jester — is causing havoc. “Toto this doesn’t look like the Oz I remember,” Dorothy whispers. Now our favorite braided brunette is on a quest to find her old friends, and she meets plenty of new ones along the way.
Joining Michele in this new adventure is the sensational Megan Hilty from NBC’s hit drama Smash. Hilty portrays China Princess, a new character in the animated flick who’s bossiness is a cover for her fragility. “So this is the famous girl who vanquishes wicked witches? I thought you’d be taller,“ the doll-sized princess quips.
The latest chapter in the Oz odyssey will feature plenty of other big names, including Martin Short, Dan Aykroyd, James Belushi, Kelsey Grammer, and Bernadette Peters as Glinda.
Check out the newest trailer for Dorothy of Oz below to hear Michele belt out a soon-to-be hit song, and get a sneak peek of her upcoming adventures in Oz!

Wednesday was an eventful day for reality show stars Bill and Giuliana Rancic: the surrogate mother carrying their first child went into labor and gave birth to a healthy baby boy, Edward Duke! But even more importantly, they got, like, a ton of retweets.
The Rancics took to the social networking world, late afternoon on Wednesday, to inform their many fans that their son was on the way. Bill tweeted, "It's Game Time......" only a few ours before Edward was born. He confirmed the news Thursday morning with a second message, following Giuliana's affirmation to followers that they would "be 1st to know;)" of the baby's arrival. Edward was born at 10:12 PM MT on Wednesday in Denver, Colo., weighing in at 7 pounds, 4 ounces, and 140 characters.
The news is terrific, and there is no doubt that the Rancics will provide a loving, healthy home for their new child. But what's with all the tweeting? Your son was on the way! Your surrogate was in labor! The followers can wait!
Maybe the Rancics have been watching too much television (not a phrase I've ever used before, but it seems to be the case here). Expectant TV fathers have a strange tendency to get wrapped up in something of relative unimportance whenever the time comes to rush off to the hospital... or broken elevator, or back of a taxi cab, or whatever. As a couple pretty ensconced in the small screen world, Bill and Giuliana might have been taking lessons from the wrong people:
Jason Segel on How I Met Your Mother
Instead of being side by side with wife Alyson Hannigan at the end of the show's seventh season, Segel's character was blackout drunk in an Atlantic City Casino with Neil Patrick Harris. So at least he had a pretty good reason.
Tracy Morgan on 30 Rock
Tracy Morgan almost went three for three with missed births in a fifth season episode, wherein his wife Sherri Shepherd gave birth to their first daughter while Tracy was engaged in an unexpected episode of Cash Cab. The episode revealed that Morgan's character had missed his two sons' births because he was "making a sandwich" during one, and he "forgot" the other.
Donald Faison on Scrubs
Shortly after wife Judy Reyes had gone into labor, Faison's character made it his mission to fix a faulty ice machine by jamming his hand up inside of it. He would remain there for more than the amount of time allotted by the birthplan's schedule.
John Stamos on Full House
Appendicitis? Appendi-shmitis! Stamos should have been able to handle a little organ inflammation while Lori Loughlin was giving birth. She had twins, for goodness sake!
Bryan Cranston on Breaking Bad AND Malcolm in the Middle
On two different shows, this guy was fated with some horribly inconvenient timing: on Breaking Bad, Cranston was set to finalize a transaction with soon-to-be business partner Giancarlo Esposito, when his wife called to inform him that she had gone into labor. Bastard that he is, Walter White opted for meth over baby. The Malcolm in the Middle situation was a tad more forgivable, as Cranston's character was confined to a hospital bed (not the same hospital as his baby-having wife) after crashing the car. He didn't let this stop him, though. The strapped-down Hal displayed superhuman determination when he (and the bed) journeyed across town to be there for his new son.
Either way, a heartfelt congratulations to Giuliana and Bill!
