"I'm telling you - his superpower is parenting." Robert Downey Jr. is impressed with his The Avengers co-star Chris Hemsworth's multi-tasking abilities as a dad. The Thor hunk and his wife Elsa Pataky are parents to nearly one-year-old twins Tristan and Sasha, and two-year-old daughter India Rose. Downey Jr. also welcomed his third child last year (14) - daughter Avri Roel, who was born in November.
The racy Fifty Shades Of Grey movie won't be exciting film fans in India after censors there blocked the adaptation of E.L. James' erotic novel from cinemas. The chief executive of India's Central Board of Film Certification, Shravan Kumar, has not revealed why the film has been banned, but he has given movie bosses a chance to appeal the decision.
A source claims the film board objected to some of the movie's dialogue.
The hit film, which opened on 13 February (15) in many countries, has been banned in Malaysia, Indonesia and Kenya, largely because of its sexual content.
Alt-J's set at a music event in India was cancelled after heavy rain threatened to flood the festival site. The British rockers had been due to perform at the Emerge Music and Art Festival in Delhi on Sunday (01Mar15) alongside artists including Rudimental, but the gig was called off due to safety fears.
A statement from the band reads, "The weather has made it too dangerous, for fans, crew and band. Hope we can come back soon."
Alt-J keyboardist Gus Unger-Hamilton adds in posts on Twitter.com, "The stage was covered in water. All the lights and equipment.. would have been ruined and could have posed a risk of electrocution too... We are really sorry we had to cancel but would only ever do that if absolutely necessary... We didn't come all this way to wantonly cancel a gig."
India Arie has defended Zendaya Coleman following the teen star's feud with U.S. TV presenter Giuliana Rancic over her Oscars red carpet appearance. Fashion Police co-host Rancic provoked a storm on Monday (23Feb15) when she insisted Coleman probably "smells like patchouli... maybe weed" while commenting on the star's dreadlocks on the Academy Awards on Sunday (22Feb15).
Coleman branded the remarks "offensive" and "disrespectful" and Rancic's co-star Kelly Osbourne considered quitting the show over the backlash, and now singer Arie has now weighed in on the drama, congratulating Coleman for standing up for herself.
In a post on her blog, she writes, "We need more more compassion in this world. Period... So I'm not mad at Giuliana Rancic. I'm sad at her. I'm sad that things like this keep happening. Im sad that theres (sic) an actual form of entertainment where people are excused to be snarky and unkind, that's the real issue.
"What I'm baffled by is how we put people in boxes so easily... (The remark is) offensive. It has a racist edge. But also it's also (sic) just off base. Way off base. This is why people are mad... I love you Zendaya. You're empowerment and self definition is the most beautiful thing here!"
Rancic has since apologised for her comments on Twitter.com and made an appearance on E! News in the U.S. on Tuesday (24Feb15) to say sorry again.
She said, "I just want everyone to know, I didn't intend to hurt anybody. But I've learned it's not my intent that matters, it's the result, and the result is that people are offended, including Zendaya, and that is not okay... I want to say to Zendaya, and anyone else out there that I have hurt, that I am so, so sincerely sorry."
Dame Judi Dench has to take an assistant everywhere she goes because her failing eyesight makes it impossible to travel alone. The veteran actress struggles to see where she is stepping and she relied on help from her co-stars Dame Maggie Smith, Celia Imrie, and Bill Nighy when she returned to India to film comedy sequel The Second Best Exotic Marigold Hotel last year (14).
She tells Radio Times magazine, "These days I can't really travel on my own because I need someone to say, 'Look out, there's a step here!' or else I fall all over the place like a mad, drunk lady. That's why it was just glorious going back to India again. We're all great friends and we've done masses of things together. It was like an old travelling theatre company coming back together - old being the operative word!"
Dench has previously revealed she is battling macular degeneration, which can lead to blindness, and she can no longer read scripts.
The veteran stars of The Second Best Exotic Marigold Hotel left a screening of the movie in total shock because they had no idea how old they looked onscreen. Producers of the comedy sequel decided to forego any specialist studio equipment while on location in India and instead used the bright sun as their only source of light.
However, the technique changed the way stars including Celia Imrie, Dame Maggie Smith, and Dame Judi Dench usually look on camera, and some of the cast were left shocked when they saw the finished product.
Imrie tells U.K. talk show host Graham Norton, "We didn't have any fancy lighting or anything. It was just the bright, bright heat of the sun. First of all, I think I am 26 still but I'm not and at the screening we all looked at ourselves and came out in absolute shock. The director caught us all stunned and asked what the matter was and when we told him we all looked so old he just roared with laughter."
Actor Chris Hemsworth quit living in Hollywood and returned to his native Australia because California is too "dangerous" a place to raise children. The Thor star lived in Los Angeles for several years while his movie career blossomed, but he eventually moved back to Australia for the sake of his three children as he is adamant Tinseltown will be no good for them.
Hemsworth, who has two-year-old daughter, India Rose, and twin sons Tristan and Sasha, 11 months, with wife Elsa Pataky, is determined to ensure they have the same experiences he had growing up in Melbourne.
He tells Britain's Daily Mirror newspaper, "It's not America that I'm trying to avoid because I love it, but I think Hollywood itself is a pretty dangerous place to live if you're at all impressionable or a young kid. I don't know that I would want my children growing up here, so that's what drew me back to Australia.
"I also just wanted my kids to have the same experiences that I had which I hold so valuable and so close to me. It seems like a stable landing for us and I love it. It's great and it's made me wonder how I could have been away that long."
In October (14), Hemsworth and Pataky splashed out $6.3 million (£3.9 million) on a new family home in Byron Bay, New South Wales.
British actor Shazad Latif was almost dropped from the cast of The Second Best Exotic Marigold Hotel after a visa issue stopped him travelling to the set in India. The Spooks star was cast in The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel sequel alongside Dame Judi Dench, Dame Maggie Smith and Richard Gere, but visa problems stopped him flying out to the shoot, and he reveals producers began "training up another guy" to take over.
However, Latif was later given a reprieve when the paperwork was eventually sorted out and he was able to join his castmates on set.
He tells the London Evening Standard, "There was a mix-up in the paperwork. I had a massive visa issue. It was just bureaucracy."
The Second Best Exotic Marigold Hotel hits cinemas later this month (Feb15).
Jazz star Gregory Porter gave a couple of loved-up fans a Valentine's Day (14Feb15) to remember on Saturday by helping the boyfriend, Brad, propose to his girlfriend Marie during his concert at New York's Town Hall. The musician introduced Brad at the top of his popular song Real Good Hands, and then serenaded the pair after Marie said yes, much to the excitement of the audience, which included singer India Arie.

Video footage shows Lopez performing an energetic dance routine in a skimpy black leotard in front of guests.
The grand finale came at the end of three days of wedding celebrations, which cost an estimated $24 million (£15 million), and also featured another U.S. pop singer, Nicole Scherzinger, who performed at the Taj Lake Palace with Bollywood stars Arjun Kapoor and Ranveer Singh on Tuesday (10Feb15).
