The 30 Rock actor, 45, was a passenger in a limo bus which was involved in a six-vehicle pile-up in Cranbury as he made his way back to his New Jersey home following a stand-up gig in Dover, Delaware on Friday night (06Jun14).
Authorities have confirmed that Morgan's comedy writer, James McNair, a passenger onboard the luxury vehicle, died in the accident, while three others, including the actor and his assistant Jeff Millea, are in intensive care and one person is in fair condition.
A statement issued by his representative reads: "Tracy remains in critical condition at Robert Wood Johnson Hospital. He sustained these injuries in an accident that occurred early this morning as one of several passengers in a chauffeured SUV returning from a tour date in Delaware.
"His family is now with him and he is receiving excellent care. We don't anticipate much of a change in his condition today but will provide a further update once more information becomes available."

Former pop star Rachel Stevens came close to vomiting during a lingerie shoot for FHM magazine because she was battling severe morning sickness. The singer, who shot to fame in teen-focused band S Club 7, has been voted the sexiest woman of all time by FHM readers to mark 20 years of the publication's annual beautiful females polls.
In honour of her new title, Stevens stripped down for a sexy shoot for the July (14) issue, wearing just her lingerie, but she admits that it wasn't as glamorous behind the scenes.
Explaining how she posed for the snaps while three months pregnant with her daughter, she tells U.K. TV show Lorraine, "I did that when I was just very early pregnant... and I was really nervous because I felt really sick in that first three months and I thought, just try not to be sick between each shot."
Stevens' second child Minnie was born in April (14). She also has another daughter, Amelie, three.
Former pop star Rachel Stevens has been voted the sexiest woman of all time by readers of U.K. men's magazine FHM. The ex-S Club singer saw off competition from the likes of Jennifer Lopez, Kelly Brook and Jennifer Aniston to top the poll, which marks 20 years of the annual countdown.
Glee stars Lea Michele and Matthew Morrison dated years before they became TV student and teacher on the hit show. The singer/actress has confirmed long-standing rumours the couple once dated in her new book Brunette Ambition, after previously insisting the romance stories weren't true.
Michele, who at 27 is eight years younger than Morrison, comes clean as she recalls landing the role of Rachel Berry in the TV musical. In an extract of the new book obtained by Us Weekly, she writes, "When we shot the pilot, I met Cory Monteith, Kevin McHale, Amber Riley, and Chris Colfer for the first time. I had worked on Broadway with Jenna Ushkowitz and Matthew Morrison before. Matt had been a friend of mine for years, and in fact we'd actually dated back in the day for a Broadway beat."
Michele previously insisted she and Morrison were never more than friends and the romance rumours were made up, and he also shot down the rumours of a pre-Glee fling with his co-star in a 2010 Parade interview, stating, "I got a call from my publicist (about it), and she got a call a minute later and we looked at each other like, 'What the f**k?' It's so laughable." Michele went on to date Monteith, who died following a drug overdose last summer (13).
British pop star Rachel Stevens was so relaxed during her recent childbirth that she headed out on a shopping trip, visited friends, and enjoyed breakfast at a restaurant after going into labour. The former S Club 7 star began feeling contractions in the early hours of the morning but, as it was the second time she has given birth, Stevens and husband Alex Bourne knew the drill and refused to panic.
They calmly watched comedy shows on TV at their London home for several hours before heading out for breakfast and stopping to pick up some flowers on the way to a hospital.
Staff at the medical unit were amazed when they walked into the delivery room and saw Stevens sitting in an armchair reading a magazine.
The singer gave birth to the couple's second daughter, Minnie Blossom, last month (Apr14), and she admits the labour process was a lot less stressful than when she had her first, Amelie, in 2010.
She tells British magazine OK!, "I woke up at 2am, but I didn't know if I was having contractions - it was only when they started coming every five minutes that I knew... Anyway, we got dressed and went downstairs and watched (comedian) Michael McIntyre... while deciding what to do.
"A bag was packed by the door and by 5am we left for hospital... When we got to hospital I was monitored and they told me that I was in the early stages, but not to go far. We ended up going for breakfast around the corner - I was sat in the middle of a busy restaurant trying to hide contractions among all these people having breakfast meetings!... We were calm - we even went to Paddington station and bought some flowers because our friend had given birth two days before us and was still in our hospital. We went and had a lovely time with them, then suddenly my contractions came on pretty strong so I then knew I needed to go!"
Husband Bourne adds, "The nurses couldn't believe how relaxed Rachel was mid-contractions - she was sat in an armchair reading a magazine."
