Actress Leah Remini found a little comfort in pal Jennifer Lopez's kids on Saturday (03Aug13) amid the fall-out from her decision to quit the Church of Scientology last month (Jul13). The former star of hit U.S. comedy show King of Queens hit the headlines when she announced she had left the church, which boasts John Travolta and Tom Cruise as high-profile members.
And she turned to a little trampolining fun in Los Angeles to take her mind off the drama.
Remini was spotted at Sky High Sports Trampoline Park with her husband Angelo Pagan, their daughter Sofia and best pal Lopez's twins Max and Emme, who she was babysitting while mum was out of town.
Last week (ends02Aug13), the actress revealed she is planning a tell-all book about her experience as a Scientologist.
Clint Eastwood has chosen acting legend Christopher Walken to lead the cast of his upcoming Jersey Boys movie. The actor/director is working on a big screen adaptation of the hit stage show about Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons, and he has signed up the Oscar winner in a key role as a New Jersey mobster who helped the group build a music career.
Walken will play Angelo 'Gyp' DeCarlo in the film, according to Deadline.com, and previous reports suggest the director has chosen a young cast of rising stars to play Valli and his bandmates.
Broadway star John Lloyd Young, who played Valli in the New York show, is rumoured to be reprising his role for the film, and Boardwalk Empire's Vincent Piazza is also said to be among the cast.
The movie will go into production over the summer (13).
"That snail is fast!" This tagline sums up all you need to know about Turbo, the rather ironic tale of a garden snail who races in the Indy 500. The latest computer-animated flick from Dreamworks tells a typically predictable underdog story, with the proper doses of humor and heartwarming moments. It's totally cliché, but still great family fun.
Voiced by Ryan Reynolds, Turbo (née Theo) is a simple garden snail who is fed up with his humdrum life in the tomato patch with his overly cautious brother Chet (Paul Giamatti). When he isn't working with overripe fruit at "the plant," the ambitious little snail watches old car race tapes and dreams of being fast like French-Canadian Indy 500 champion Guy Gagne (voiced by Bill Hader). Then one fateful night, Turbo is exposed to nitrous oxide and effectively transformed into a car, equipped with a radio, alarm, headlights, and best of all, super speed. Turbo's newfound abilities quickly come into play when he rescues Chet from a crow attack, but the two brothers are then snatched up by a taco truck driver named Tito Lopez. Just when they think they're about to become escargot, Chet and Turbo are surprised to find that Tito only wants to enter them in a snail race.
Tito and his brother Angelo operate the struggling Dos Bros taco stand in a ramshackle strip mall with a hobby shop, nail salon, and auto repair shop. The owners are friends, racing snails together to take their minds off their failing businesses. But when they discover Turbo's incredible talents, they decide to show him off to the world. With hopes to win the Indy 500 and put their strip mall on the map, the shop owners and their snails band together to travel to Indianapolis. Then, it's all up to Turbo and his supersnail speed.
With a star-studded cast boasting the likes of Maya Rudolph, Samuel L. Jackson, Snoop Dogg, Michelle Rodriguez, Luis Guzmán, Michale Pena and Richard Jenkins, Turbo is an adorable film about a little snail with big dreams. While some animated movies focus solely on entertaining the kids, and others devote too much energy to appeasing the adults, Turbo manages to achieve a nice balance of humor that will have parents and their children laughing together. And it promotes the inspiring messages that we want our children to be exposed to: 1) Follow your dreams, no matter how outlandish they may be. 2) Your heroes may disappoint you, but you can become your own hero. 3) Taco trucks are awesome.
Indeed, Turbo features some nice contemporary touches, like the ever-popular food truck, a viral video subplot, and a French-accented car-racing villain à la Talladega Nights. Still, there is absolutely nothing surprising about this movie, which isn't necessarily to its detriment but certainly makes for a less exciting viewing experience. There's comic relief (most notably Ken Jeong's voice performance as a feisty female manicurist) and a bit of suspense, but we're never too worried that things won't turn out okay in the end. Is it realistic? Of course not. But is it fun? Most definitely. In effect, it's an easy movie to watch and enjoy for 90 minutes or so, but you probably won't find yourself hankering for a repeat viewing. While Turbo is nothing groundbreaking, it's a charming film with a lot of heart.

Soul sensation Adele stepped back into the spotlight on Friday (21Jun13) to salute her record label boss at a New York City gala. The British singer has made only a handful of public appearances since giving birth to her son Angelo James last year (Oct12), but she made an exception to fete Columbia Records chairman Rob Stringer.
Adele appeared at the star-studded UJA-Federation of New York event at The Pierre hotel in Manhattan to hand Stringer the Music Visionary Award.
Accepting his prize, Stringer recalled meeting the Rolling in the Deep hitmaker in 2007 before she found fame: "Your career is defined by the people you work with. Six years ago, that young lady walked into our office with her manager and said, 'Yeah, this'll do,' with a cigarette in her mouth. It's fantastic to have her here... She doesn't get out much."
Neil Diamond, Jay-Z and John Legend were among those in the audience, while Haim and John Mayer performed songs to honour their label boss.
Celine Dion, Daft Punk, Patti Smith, Simon Cowell, Pharrell Williams, One Direction, Tony Bennett, Barbra Streisand and Steven Tyler also appeared in a video compilation thanking and congratulating Stringer.
Actress Cameron Diaz is in talks to jump into bed with Jason Segel for raunchy new comedy Sex Tape. Reese Witherspoon had previously been linked to the project, about a married couple sent into a panic as it tries to track down a missing sex tape, and now the Charlie's Angels beauty has begun negotiations to take on the job.
If Diaz signs on, it will reunite her with her Bad Teacher co-star Segel, reports EmpireOnline.com.
Sex Tape was written by Kate Angelo, the same scribe behind Jennifer Lopez's 2010 release, The Back-up Plan.
Chevy Chase and Beverly D'Angelo might be traveling down that holiday roooo-oooo-aaaa-d one more time. According to Variety, the Vacation stars are in talk to reprise their roles as iconic 80s couple (and, okay fine, the 90s if you count Vegas Vacation, which you definitely shouldn't) Clark and Ellen Griswold.
The two would meet up with their now-grown son Rusty (played by Ed Helms having his first go as Griswold kid) and his wife (played by Christina Applegate) who are visiting them during a stop on a road trip. Clark will, no doubt be doing something to "fix" the house and Ellen willing lovingly roll her eyes...but where the hell is Audrey?! Hollywood.com reached out to Chase's rep for comments, but they were immediately available for a statement. D'Angelo's rep told us that the actress is, in fact, in talks.

While the film — which is being written and directed by John Francis Daley and Jonathan M. Goldstein (The Incredible Burt Wonderstone, Horrible Bosses) — will be a star vehicle for Helms, you just couldn't have a Vacation movie without Clark and Ellen. Even if it is, as Variety reports, just for a cameo. During an interview with Hollywood.com Goldstein assured fans that the upcoming reboot is "a legitimate updating of the franchise." Either way, it's a pretty safe bet that Randy Quaid isn't going to be on board to bring back Uncle Eddie.

The Goodfellas star signed a $3 million (£1.8 million) deal to play the gangster's associate and childhood pal Angelo Ruggiero in Gotti: In the Shadow of My Father, alongside John Travolta and Kelly Preston.
He filed suit against Fiore Films in July 2011, claiming he had piled on weight to portray Ruggiero, only to be told he would be playing a smaller part.
His attorney, Jessica Trotter, confirmed on Monday (04Feb13) that Pesci has reached a undisclosed out-of-court settlement with bosses at the production company.
Travolta will play Gotti in the film. The crime boss died behind bars in 2002.
In 2002's, Arnold Schwarzenegger's Collateral Damage bombed at the box office. Many pointed to the unfortunate proximity of 9/11 to the terrorism-themed action movie. But Collateral Damage had a bigger problem on its hands: an aging action star losing his appeal with audiences.
The same dwindling effect happened to Sylvester Stallone after three decades of success in action. The 10 years that followed his last original leading role, 2002's Avenging Angelo, were filled with sequels and fan fiction-like promises. Rocky Balboa, Rambo, the Expendables franchise — less heroic comeback than wish fulfillment. This weekend, he returns with Bullet to the Head in hopes of recapturing some of that dumb, fun magic.
As a fan of both Schwarzenegger and Stallone's clobbering work — Commando and Rambo: First Blood Part II being stand outs — I'm sad to admit that at 65 and 66, respectively, the ball busting duo may be over the hill for entertaining action movies. Don't get me wrong: they're as ripped as ever. What they're missing is the "roar." While Stallone has packed so much muscle on for Bullet that his veins are literally being pushed up against his skin, both he and Schwarzenegger are going through motions in their latest vehicles (the Governator returned to solo stardom with The Last Stand). Audiences need goofy, brutal entertainment in their lives, but no longer can they be delivered by the hands of the legends. Nostalgia isn't powerful enough to empower them.
Luckily, the two have a successor.
Few people (including myself) saw model-turned-actor Jason Momoa in the final seasons of Baywatch or as Ronon Dex on Stargate: Atlantis and thought, 'Hey, this guy could be the next Stallone!' But after his turn as the vicious Keegan in Bullet to the Head, standing side by side with a man he's described in interviews as being a personal hero, it's clear the actor has the physique and light-hearted attitude to accept the torch. He's multi-faceted — in the right ways.
Schwarzenegger and Stallone aren't in the same category as Oscar winners, but they do have a talent few posses. Besides being structurally sound for pulling off stunts and choreographed fights, they get the humor of their moves. That's why it was never surprising that Schwarzenegger followed an alien gore-fest (Predator) and a futuristic deathwatch (Running Man) with Twins, or why Stallone thought Stop! Or My Mom Will Shoot was a good idea (I swear its not his fault). Momoa shows off the same attitude with Keegan. While he's evil, he's gleefully sadistic. We could picture him on the other side of it, rattling off Commando-like one-liners as fast as the bullets blasting off from his pistol.
Or he can play it straight. There's a reason Momoa was a logical choice for the 2011 remake of Schwarzenegger's Conan the Barbarian. He appears to pack the brute force of the Austrian bodybuilder and can do it with a stone cold face. That was obvious from Momoa's work as Khal Drogo on HBO's Game of Thrones, but there, the surroundings were far too serious. Thrones is engrossing and layered. As a flagbearer for potential escapism, Momoa needs to be the draw, a superhuman we know can triumph regardless of the setup. The sillier the scenario, the more faceless the baddies, the better the stage for an actor like Momoa to smash his way to stardom.
I wouldn't want Schwarzenegger and Stallone to disappear — in fact, during Comic-Con, I was enthusiastic over the possibility of Schwarzenegger trying his hand at another comedy — but when it comes to beating the living crap out of goons and leading the next big, nearly direct-to-DVD franchise, my chips are on Momoa. Conan may not have soared at the box office, but don't blame that one on the guy who delivered: with the right part — the ones still going to our heroes from the '80s — Momoa could inspire a whole new generation of action fanatics. And give me a reason to hoot, holler, and munch popcorn for 90 minutes.

The Guru star met his fiancee when they were paired together on U.K. reality TV show Strictly Come Dancing in 2010, but they didn't start dating until the following year (11).
Cacace, who won the most recent series with Olympian Louis Smith last month (Dec12), took to her Twitter.com page to tell fans the good news.
She writes, "Sorry I have been a bit quiet, wanted to wish you all a very happy new year. I’ve had a wonderful time and have some amazing news... All I need to say is Jimi Mistry has made me the happiest girl in the world.... Engaged."
Her actor fiance followed with his own tweet, "You’ve made me the happiness (sic) man... Thank God she said yes."
Mistry was previously married to long-term partner Meg Leonard but they divorced in 2010 after 17 years together and have an 11-year-old daughter, Elin.
Cacace parted ways with her former fiance and fellow Strictly Come Dancing star Vincent Simone in 2007 and later embarked on a three-year romance with ex-EastEnders actor Matt Di Angelo, another of her TV dance partners, but they split in 2010.
Happy New Year TV lovers! Since it’s a fresh start, let me reintroduce myself: My name is Leanne, (She awkwardly curtsies, stumbles, and falls. Wow, smooth.) I’m completely obsessed with all things television-related and I’m thrilled to continue spoiling you all with what’s coming up on your favorite shows! So here’s how it’s going to work: Every Wednesday, I’ll post a short but oh-so sweet list of all the spoilers you absolutely need to know. Every show will get their time to shine, but if you really want to hear scoop about a particular series, find me on Twitter (@LeanneAguilera) and use the hashtag #LeannesList to tweet a question about your favorite show. Or if you’re too lazy to open another window on your desktop, just place your requests in the comments below. Voila! So easy right?
Now that we’re slowly but surely becoming cyber soulmates, let’s get started! In the first 2013 edition of Leanne’s Spoiler List I’m dishing about the oh-so hot brand new characters you’ll be meeting in season two premiere of Smash and revealing a deeper peak into Elena’s sired mind from The Vampire Dairies boss Julie Plec. I also sweet-talked my way into watching the winter premieres of White Collar, Switched at Birth, and House of Lies and now I’m sharing all the goods about your favorite characters. So sit back, relax, and get ready for a new year filled with fun reviews and exclusive spoilers from yours truly. 1. Smash: A Dashing New Duo!
Some of you know I might have a teeny tiny crush on a show called Glee, so you can imagine how much I absolutely love NBC’s racy, innovative, and infectiously fun musical drama Smash! The season two premiere is still a month away, (Feb. 5!) but lucky for you Broadway lovers, I asked Santa for a sneak peek and I was very good this year! The first episode back is a whopping two hours long, and it is packed to the brim with new characters, thrilling musical numbers, and so many twists and turns that you’ll definitely need a neck brace when it’s done.

Here's what I can spill about the episode: Dev is officially out of the picture and so far there is absolutely no sign of Julia’s drone of a son Leo. (Cue the applause please!) We get to meet two new fellas, Jimmy and Kyle, who are beyond talented and of course — in true Smash fashion — they’re definitely easy on the eyes. Think of this dynamic playwriting duo as the new Julia and Tom. Kyle writes the book, and Jimmy uses his swoon-worthy voice and musical skills to create the songs. While the Marilyn Musical Bombshell is caught in yet another pre-production snafu, Karen discovers the newbies in a bar and is instantly entranced by their powerful ballads and unique sound. There is only one problem—Jimmy (the so-hot-it-hurts one) has a massive chip on his shoulder and doesn’t want Karen (aka “Princess”) to help him and his partner achieve their dreams. Not to worry: Karen is determined to help their Broadway-bound show—whether they like it or not. Looks like Karen’s got herself a new beau to crush on! 2. House of Lies: Drunk and Delusional If you’re not watching Showtime's comedy House of Lies, you should probably seriously reevaluate your DVR schedule because this show is hilarious, witty, and most importantly, it has Kristen Bell! (Let’s all take a minute to relive the wonderment that is the Ellen/Kristen sloth video.) Now that’s were all in an amazing mood, let’s just dive straight into House of Lies season two scoop. (It premieres Jan. 13, bee tee dubs).
GALLERY: TV's Best Bitchfaces Jeannie is now back from a paid leave of absence from work. Remember that whole sleeping with her boss thing? Well, now she’s got a bigger problem: What the heck happened the night she got wasted with Marty and completely blacked out? It turns out Marty doesn’t remember their drunken night of debauchery either. Luckily, Jeannie begins to have flashbacks from their interesting (and bloody) night, but the last 30 seconds of the episode are definitely something that you don’t want to miss. Oh, and fun fact: Clyde has not one but two girlfriends! That’s right: Claude, our favorite smooth talker, is currently in a Ménage à trois relationship and invites Marty to join the festivities. Of course, I can’t reveal to you what Marty chooses, but I can tell you that his reaction is priceless. What about Doug, you ask? Welp, Doug makes a complete and total fool of himself in front of a very important client. Yet again. 3. The Vampire Diaries: Sired Vampire Girl Problems Whenever The Vampire Diaries is on a hiatus, life seems bleak, empty, and fang-free. Sigh. Luckily for all you Mystic Falls lovers out there, I chatted with the all-knowing TVD showrunner Julie Plec to help curb your bloodlust until the drama returns Jan. 17. Even though we saw the rage/devastation when Stefan learned of Elena and Damon’s recent under-the-sheets activities, Plec reveals that Elena’s love triangle between the two Salvatore brothers is far from over. “Elena's mindset is basically a combination of feeling a sense of loss of not being able to be around Damon and also this profound sense of guilt for how much she's hurt Stefan.” Don't forget about the third man in her life, though: her brother, Jeremy. "Equal to that, a protectiveness of Jeremy,” Plec adds. "She's feeling very unsettled that she's not there where he is in helping him go through the motions to uncover the rest of his hunter marks. So she's got a lot that she's concerned about." Our heroine will never lead a normal high school senior life, but then again, she is a vampire. GALLERY: TV's Most Infuriating Third Wheels
But about that Damon situation: Is Elena ever going to question the sire bond, or is she dead set that her love for Damon is the real deal? Plec answers, "In the midst of all of it, she's still wondering, are these [true] feelings she's feeling? They feel so real. What is going on with me?” Looks like we’re going to have to wait a few weeks to find out, but head on down to the comments with your speculations! Is it just the sire bond messing with her head, or does Elena truly love Damon? 4. Switched at Birth: Gifts Galore!
After what seemed like the longest season one in the history of television (I might be exaggerating just a tad), Switched at Birth returns Jan. 7 with a brand new season and a whole lot of fun! I've already witnessed the amazingness of the season two premiere and I am happy to report that fans will not be disappointed. When we last saw our two families, Angelo was awarded with a $5 million settlement which was basically the court's way of saying, "This is really awkward and we're really sorry that the hospital switched your two daughters. So here's a huge pile of money to make up for it." So, what’s a fella to do with all that cash? Shower everyone with gifts, that’s what! A cappuccino maker, a telescope, and a Rolex watch are just a few of the pricey items that Angelo gives the family to show his love. But the coolest present of all is definitely Daphne’s.
GALLERY: Twist! TV's Best (and Worst) Game Changers When I was on the Switched at Birth set last month, the lovely Katie Leclerc was kind enough to spill the details to me and now I’m going to do the same for you: “Daphne gets a food truck!” Leclerc exclaims. The actress reveals that although Daphne has an intense passion for cooking, owning a food truck is a huge challenge and commitment for the high schooler. “Now she has to learn about business and has to learn about how her business affects other businesses and different communities and things like that. But she figures it out and she really grows up. She really just thrives in that environment and it’s good to see that,” she says. Business savvy is great and all, but with food trucks it’s all about the tasty treats! So what will Miss Daphne be dishing up? Leclerc smiles. “The first time she takes it out she does waffles, but it turns out that she is going to do tacos… but with a twist,” she spills. Sounds delicious to me!
5. Comment Question: Dale Sullivan asked, “Got anything new on "White Collar"?”
Well my dear Dale, I just finished watching the mid-season premiere of White Collar and let me confess something to you: I have a HUGE crush on Matt Bomer. Is that spoilery enough for you? Okay, fine. Let’s get to it! The episode, “Family Business” — which premieres on Jan. 22 — is a total Marry Poppins (practically perfect in every way!) When we last saw our handsome hero, Neal discovered in a shocking twist that Sam is actually his father. Dun dun duuun! Now fans will pick up right where we left off and in the first three minutes you’ll learn everything you ever wanted to know about our MIA daddy, including the backstory behind the picture Neal has from when he was a little boy.
Golden Globes 2013: Worst TV Snubs To find the truth behind his father’s criminal past, Neal must go undercover into the spirited world of counterfeit whiskey (pun intended). So get excited, White Collar fans, because the only thing better than a shirtless Neal is a drunk one with a sneaky plan. We already knew that our blue-eyed badass was incredible at a lot of things, but you can now add professional alcohol replicator to that list. After a fiery climax (yup that’s a big clue), Neal makes the tough decision about whether or not he wants his dad to be a part of his life. Are you excited to meet Smash’s dashing new man? Counting down the days to get your Delena and Stelena fix? Intrigued by the new season of House of Lies? Tell me everything in the comments below!
