"We were up in Montreal prepping for Gothika, and we had lunch with the director and Halle Berry. Everybody else ordered Japanese, but Robert told us how oatmeal was the 'superfood'. He brought his own packets of oatmeal to have at lunch. And he had this box of various herbs and stuff. And then he started doing these yoga moves. I mean, he was interesting but weird." Film producer Susan Downey recalls her odd first meeting with the man who was to become her husband, Robert Downey, Jr.

Styling themselves as the Pop All Star Band, they are expected to perform a short set during the halftime break at the Pop vs Jock III charity basketball game, which is staged as part of the Pop Montreal festival.
The rockers are also set to show off their sporting skills by taking part in the match against a local team, according to NME.com.
R&B superstar Usher has removed his forthcoming album from the 2014 release schedule in a bid to spend more time perfecting the project. The Yeah hitmaker had been expected to unveil UR, his eighth studio disc, by the year's end to accompany his upcoming tour, The UR Experience, but he has since decided to delay its release.
He tells Billboard.com, "The album isn't scheduled anymore. I've basically taken it back. I'm taking my time with it. At the end of the day, all of this is just about having fun. You get in the studio (and) go with how you feel."
Usher has already recorded tracks with guests including Nicki Minaj, Pharrell Williams, Ed Sheeran, Skrillex, Diplo and Drake, but there's one additional artist he has also been spending time with in the studio - Chris Brown.
He reveals, "There is another record that we worked on for the album. The relationship is great... we've been able to build."
A new release date for UR has yet to be set, but The UR Experience tour, with R&B newcomer August Alsina, is still set to kick off in Montreal, Canada on 1 November (14).
Casey Kasem's wife Jean has chosen to bury the late broadcaster in Oslo, Norway. The American DJ passed away in June (14), and two months after his death, Jean, who was given control of the star's remains over his children, has opted to fly his body from Montreal, Canada to Norway.
News of Kasem's final burial site was first reported in Norwegian newspaper VG, and a private investigator for Casey's daughter, Kerri Kasem, confirmed the report to The Hollywood Reporter.
In the Norwegian article, government official Wenche Madsen Eriksson was quoted as saying, "It is arranged. He's going to Oslo," but no further details about Kasem's final resting place have been revealed.
Casey died at a hospital in Tacoma, Washington. After Kerri and her siblings claimed the body had gone missing, it emerged that his remains had been taken from Tacoma and flown to Montreal, just a day before Kerri obtained a court order in a bid to stop her father's body being moved.
A spokesperson for Kerri tells The Hollywood Reporter that she, along with her family, have no clue why Jean is moving their father to Norway.
The rep says, "We don't know what Jean Kasem's plans are. We just know that she wants to keep Casey away from his family and friends and by the looks of it, hiding from law enforcement."
Kerri's brother Mike Kasem, adds, "There is no connection my dad has with Norway. I don't know if Jean has any ties to Oslo. She certainly has never mentioned it in the last 35 years. Check the exhumation laws there; sounds like a possibility that is the reason she will bury him there.
"My dad deserves to be buried where he specifically asked to be buried: Forest Lawn (in Los Angeles). Everyone keeps asking for motives as to why Jean acts how she acts. I don't have an answer."
The biggest film ever made in Kyrgyzstan has landed a world premiere at the upcoming Montreal World Film Festival in Canada. With a $1.5 million (£880,000) budget, historical epic Kurmanjan Datka: Queen of the Mountains is the most expensive film ever made in Kyrgyzstan.
Backed by the nation's leader Almazbek Atambaev and his Minister of Culture, Sultan Raev, the film chronicles the real-life story of a heroic noblewoman, who saved the Central Asian country from complete destruction and subjugation when Russian imperial forces conquered the nation in the 1870s.
The film, which marks writer/producer Sadyk Sher-Niyaz's directorial debut, will premiere in Montreal on 22 August (14).
Leading lady Elina Abai Kyzy will join Sher-Niyaz and producers Zhyldyzkan Dzholdoshova and Brett Syson at the premiere with an interpreter.
Casey Kasem's wife Jean has been dealt another blow as her attorneys have requested to step down as her legal team. The late veteran broadcaster passed away in June (14) and Jean has been locked in a battle with Casey's adult children even after his passing.
Now Jean's lawyers of Los Angeles-based firm Haney & Young are asking the court to relieve them as her counsel as soon as possible.
According to legal documents filed in Casey's conservatorship obtained by TMZ.com, the lawyers claim Jean does not respond to any of their correspondence, including email and phone.
In addition, the papers state Jean has amounted $500,000 (£294,000) in unpaid fees for her various legal battles, and if she does not settle the balance, the money will allegedly come out of Casey's estate.
Jean's lawyer troubles come amid the escalating family feud over where the late star will be laid to rest. Jean was given control of the star's remains, but Casey has yet to be laid to rest more than a month after his death.
It was reported on Wednesday (23Jul14) that his body was removed from a mortuary in Washington and flown to Montreal, Canada.
Casey Kasem's body has been flown to Canada amid an escalating family feud over where the late star will be laid to rest. The veteran broadcaster's adult children were locked in a battle with his wife Jean before his death in June (14), and they have continued the spat after his passing.
Jean was given control of the star's remains, but Kasem has yet to be laid to rest more than a month after his death.
His adult children claimed the body had gone missing and Kasem's daughter Keri, who wanted her dad to be interred in California, even accused her stepmother of staging a burial in secret and playing "games" with them.
It has now emerged that Kasem's body has been removed from a mortuary in Washington and flown to Montreal, Canada.
The body was taken from the Gaffney Funeral Home in Tacoma just a day before Keri Kasem obtained a court order in a bid to stop her father's remains being moved.
Director of the funeral home, Corey Gaffney, tells CNN.com, "I disclosed to her attorney that the body was no longer in our care... I took Casey to the airport myself, oversaw every detail myself from the moment we brought him into care."
Keri Kasem's representative Danny Deraney adds, "The bottom line is that they (the children) want to know where he'll be buried. I think they have that right."
Casey Kasem's daughters believe the beloved broadcaster has been secretly laid to rest and his widow is playing "games" with her stepchildren, after they stripped her of guardianship shortly before the radio presenter died last month (Jun14). Julie and Kerri Kasem, who was granted the authority to oversee her dad's final days in hospital, appeared on U.S. news show Access Hollywood Live on Monday (21Jul14), days after revealing their father's remains had gone missing.
The appearance came a day after Kasem's widow, Jean, told CNN she knew where her late husband's body was.
Kerri Kasem said, "The last I heard... is that he's probably buried here and she's just playing games. This is not a shocker. She put on the death certificate that she's been living in Jerusalem for 18 years, she also told the funeral home that she was going to take him to France and put him there... It's just games. She thinks she's gonna upset us and that's not gonna happen. It's sad.
"The last thing I heard from a neighbour was that they saw the family going to a funeral, and it was probably right here in Los Angeles. It could've been another funeral, but that's the closest thing that we've gotten."
Sister Julie added, "Her lawyers specifically told us, 'When your father is buried, we will let you know where...' We will never know where he is buried unless we can get a private detective or lawyers involved... It's a game.
"The last we heard he's going to be buried in Montreal, Canada. He has no family there, I don't think he's ever been there.
"This is nothing new; it's been like this for 34 years... The silver lining is that we got to be with our dad at the end of his life and we know his spirit is here, and that's the most important thing."
But Kerri claims police officials in Santa Monica are investigating where Kasem has been laid to rest, because they're still hoping to complete an autopsy that his widow started.
She explained, "She immediately had an autopsy done, I'm sure to disprove things, but the autopsy is incomplete. Medical records were not given to the guy doing the autopsy. I had to actually go in and ask for an autopsy myself just to find out my dad was still in Washington... I wanted to know where my dad was.
"The minute my dad died, everything went back to my stepmother, so I had nothing to do with where he was at or where he was going to be buried."
Pharrell Williams has pulled out of plans to join Bruno Mars on tour in Canada next week (begs21Jul14) due to scheduling issues. The Happy hitmaker has been opening for Mars on his Moonshine Jungle World Tour in recent weeks, and the pair was due to take the show to Montreal on Wednesday (23Jul14).
However, Williams has since had to cancel his appearance on the latest leg of the tour due to a "personal conflict".
Instead, Mars has recruited R&B singer Aloe Blacc, pop duo Nico & Vinz and Black Cards singer Bebe Rexha to fill in for the Canadian concerts, which will wrap up in Squamish, British Columbia on 8 August (14).
Actor Liev Schreiber suffered a broken nose twice within a few months earlier this year (14). The first incident occurred when the X-Men Origins: Wolverine star visited a gym in Montreal, Canada, where he stepped into the ring with a Ukrainian fighter for a sparring session.
He says, "It was this 24-year-old... Ukrainian kid named Nevo who broke my nose. It was awful. I (was holding my own) for the first two rounds... All these kids were coming up to the ring because they recognised me as Sabretooth from the X-Men movies, (it) totally inspired me to take on Nevo...
"I felt like I got his timing down and it turned out he was timing me and I walked into a straight right hand and I felt my nose crack and my neck snap... and for 40 more seconds I kept fighting. After that round I said, 'That was really great. I don't think I'm going to do anymore.'"
Schreiber returned to Los Angeles after the Canadian trip and while filming his TV series, Ray Donovan, the actor broke his nose again.
He continues, "We were shooting in this incredibly expensive glass house... and it was a long day and I was tired. I got up from my chair and I was walking with my head down and the next thing I knew, I (walked into a wall). I just (saw) blood exploding."
