Porn star Missy Martinez suffered minor burns on her hands after a sex toy allegedly malfunctioned during filming. The adult actress was shooting a steamy scene with another female on a movie set in the San Fernando Valley, California on Thursday (18Sep14), when sparks reportedly began to fly from the base of the Hitachi vibrator she was holding, causing the handle to heat up.
She managed to avoid serious injury, but is now demanding answers after firing off an angry letter to the manufacturers, claiming the device was defective, reports TMZ.com.
Hitatchi representatives have yet to respond to her message.
Rapper 50 Cent is mourning the loss of his beloved grandmother.
Belulah Jackson has passed away but the cause of her death has yet to be revealed, according to MTV News. The In Da Club hitmaker openly spoke about his grandmother in the past, as she and her husband took the rapper in when he was eight years old following the death of his mother.
In June (14), the star, real name Curtis Jackson, told New York radio host Angie Martinez that his grandmother was suffering from an unidentified illness, and hoped she would pull through. He said, "Her actually being sick, for me this is the only person who took care of me. It's really uncomfortable for me. If I had one person in the world that I could give everything that I have to and I'd be comfortable with it, it'll be my grandmother."
Music producer The-Dream put on a united front with his new wife at a court appearance in New York City on Monday (08Sep14) to face allegations he attacked a pregnant ex-girlfriend. The star, real name Terius Nash, is facing a slew of charges including assault and strangulation stemming from the alleged incident with Lydia Nam at the Plaza Hotel in the city in April, 2013.
The 36 year old, who denies claims he assaulted his former lover while she was carrying his child, married his current partner Lalonne Martinez in July (14) and the couple put on a united front at his court appearance on Monday.
The case was adjourned to give prosecutors more time to put together their case, and the couple left court together holding hands.
The-Dream, who was previously married to singer Christina Milian, is due back in court on 15 December (14).
Halle Berry and Olivier Martinez celebrated their one-year wedding anniversary by zip-lining and parasailing in Hawaii.
The former Bond girl married the French actor in his native country in July last year (13) and they marked the occasion this week (beg25Aug14) by taking to the waves - and the skies - in the Pacific.
Berry was snapped wearing a protective hard hat and shrieking with delight as she dangled from a zip-wire during the adventure holiday.
The couple took the trip to Maui with their baby son Maceo, 10 months, and Berry's daughter Nahla, six, from her previous relationship with model Gabriel Aubry.
A source tells People.com, "They were excited to take a family trip. (They) visited Maui together before Maceo was born and loved it."
Alongside a record degree of mediocrity, the 2014 Primetime Emmy Awards also marked a few records in some of its top competitive categories. Breaking Bad star Bryan Cranston took home the Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series trophy last night: his fourth for the role of Walter White. With this latest achievement, Cranston has tied one Dennis Franz, who has held the record of four Best Dramatic Actor Emmys solo since 1999. The milestone begs us to look back through other Emmys records: Which stars have the most wins? The most nominations? And, perhaps tragically, the most nominations without a single win?
This bittersweet superlative goes to none other than Angela Lansbury, who never quite nabbed that trophy despite 12 Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series nominations as Murder, She Wrote star Jessica Fletcher.
Not only does Lansbury claim ownership of the most nominations without a win, she also has the most nominations period in any acting category. Alan Alda, Ted Danson, and Kelsey Grammer have all earned 11 nominations in the Outstanding Lead Actor in a Comedy Series category (for M*A*S*H, Cheers, and Frasier respectively), and Mary Tyler Moore snagged 10 Lead Actress in a Comedy nominations for her eponymous sitcom. As for supporting categories, David Hyde Pierce has taken 11 nods for his work on Frasier, while Rhea Perlman and Loretta Swit have each earned 10 comedy nominations (Cheers and M*A*S*H).

A judge in Florida has thrown out a $100 million (£59 million) lawsuit against Elle Macpherson's husband over a helicopter crash which killed his best friend. Jeff Soffer, who married the supermodel last year (13), narrowly cheated death in the horrifying 2012 accident and he was later sued by his pal Lance Valdez's widow Daria over allegations the businessman, who does not have a helicopter flying licence, was at the controls when the aircraft went down.
Daria filed a $100 million (£59 million) wrongful death lawsuit against Soffer, but a judge in Florida threw out the case on Monday (25Aug14), according to the New York Post.
Soffer's attorney, Bob Martinez, says in a statement, "We are very pleased by the court's decision to dismiss the case. As we have said from the outset, this was a frivolous case filled with baseless accusations intended solely to generate headlines."
With experience on Saturday Night Live's Weekend Update and NBC's Late Night, Seth Meyers wasn't going into the 2014 Emmy Awards' opening monologue as a greenhorn. Unsurprisingly, the perpetually chipper Meyers delivered a traditional, relatively tame, but consistently funny opener, cracking wise for the most part at networks... primarily his own (and the host of the Emmys ceremony) NBC.
Some of Meyers' strongest jabs targeted the organization's mislabeling of certain programs ("You had comedies that made you laugh and comedies that made you cry... because they were dramas submitted as comedies."), the ending to How I Met Your Mother ("Sorry kids. Jesse Pinkman lived. Dexter lived. But your mother didn't make it."), and the notoriety afforded to the conservative-leaning Duck Dynasty ("This season, Game of Thrones was the most pirated TV show, and Duck Dynasty was the most VCR taped.").
Although Meyers may never be as inflammatory as the likes of the divisive Ricky Gervais, as invigorating as his old partners in crime Amy Poehler and Tina Fey (the unofficial kingpins of today's awards show game), or as dazzling a showman as trade legend Neil Patrick Harris, he is a reliabley enjoyable performer who knows his way around a joke. An all around delightful monologue from Seth, as per expectation.

Michael Jackson's sprawling Las Vegas, Nevada property has been put on the market for $19.5 million (£11.5 million). The King of Pop lived in the Spanish Mediterranean-style estate between 2007 and 2009, where he spent much of his time rehearsing for what would have been his comeback tour prior to his death.
The estate, which Jackson was leasing from philanthropist Aner Iglesias, has been vacant ever since the singer moved out.
The property includes 12 bedrooms in the main house, a guest house, recording studio facilities, several barbecue areas, a chapel and a secret underground tunnel, which Jackson used to avoid paparazzi snapping pictures via helicopter, according to the estate's broker, Eddy Martinez of Worldwide Properties.
The listing comes days after it was announced Jackson's famous Neverland Ranch in Encino, California is also going on the market.
Rapper Remy Ma's release from prison has been delayed following an incident behind bars last week (begs21Jul14). The Lean Back hitmaker, real name Reminisce Smith, was jailed for eight years in May, 2008 after she was found guilty of shooting Makeda Barnes-Joseph in the abdomen during an altercation in July, 2007.
Remy Ma, who was charged with assault, weapons possession and attempted coercion, maintained her innocence throughout the trial and twice attempted to appeal the conviction.
The 34 year old was scheduled for an early release on Thursday (31Jul14), after serving six years in jail, but an official at the Department of Corrections and Community Supervision explains she will have to stay at the Bedford Hills Correctional Facility for Women in New York for another week because of a phone violation on 21 July (14).
Ironically, the date coincides with a phone interview she conducted with New York radio DJ Angie Martinez, during which she revealed she is planning to chronicle her career comeback in a new reality show following her release.
Remy Ma is now expected to walk free next week (begs04Aug14).
