The new Mrs. Donnie Wahlberg was funnier and skinnier than ever when she sat down with Hollywood.com and discussed losing weight for her wedding and not slowing down post-View. Checkout our exclusive video:
Jenny McCarthy dished about how she dropped pounds to fit into her custom Ines Di Santo wedding gown with the help of SkinnyStix. SkinnyStix is a powder you pour into water to boost energy and lose weight. McCarthy said that with the help of the appetite suppressant, her wedding dress was “a little bit baggy.” You can find out more about SkinnyStix at Zantrex3.com.
The newlywed is moving onto bigger and better things than daytime TV - dirtier, sexier, funnier things. Her Sirius XM show Dirty, Sexy, Funny starts back up in October on Stars Channel 109 Monday through Friday at 10 a.m. - the time slot right after Howard Stern. McCarthy told us, “Obviously there is not a better lead-in than Howard Stern in radio. And I guess by following him, it leaves me to go anywhere I want.” McCarthy will be covering topics from sex to humor to dating, marriage, and more. “I wanna kind of always keep it open. Even revenge on your exes, stuff like that.” -- Uh oh, watch out Jim Carrey! Previous episodes of McCarthy's Sirius XM show are currently available On Demand on the Sirius XM app and feature guests like Howard Stern, Perez Hilton, Chelsea Handler, Jason Biggs and her new husband Donnie Wahlberg. The show is very raunchy and certainly lives up to its name. McCarthy is one “dirty bird” - check it out.
McCarthy is also in the midst of a Dirty, Sexy, Funny comedy tour she put together with all female comedians with the blessing of the late Joan Rivers. Rivers praised McCarthy for giving female comedians a platform with this tour. McCarthy told Hollywood.com: “She really appreciated it because she did the same thing. She cheered women on.… I, like everybody, miss her already dearly.”
The Dirty, Sexy, Funny comedy tour will be in Clearwater, Florida, on September 20, Las Vegas on September 26, and Detroit on October 17. Click here to checkout the full list of tour dates and to buy tickets to a show near you. McCarthy said it best, “These chicks are funny.… Come and enjoy it.”
Fun fact: McCarthy’s favorite show is Bar Rescue on Spike TV. Lookout for the show's host Jon Taffer as a potential future guest on McCarthy's Sirius XM show.
"As soon as it was announced I'd be on The View, I go into Costco (discount warehouse store), as I always do, and everyone took out their cell phones and everyone started recording me and my friend had a panic attack and I was worried about my friend, but I was also worried about myself because my hair looked a mess! I went over to this girl and... I asked if she was a Puerto Rican and she said, 'Of course, honey'... I went, 'Please, you understand the hair, please, delete, delete!'" Actress Rosie Perez urged one fan to erase an embarrassing snap of her messy hair after landing her new job as a panellist on U.S. talk show The View.
Actress-turned-U.S. TV personality Rosie O'Donnell debuted her slimmed down new look on her new show The View on Monday (15Sep14), revealing she has lost over 50 pounds (22.6 kilograms) since undergoing vertical gastric sleeve surgery last year (Jul13).
The A League of Their Own star, who once tipped the scales at 237 pounds (107.5 kilograms), started a new health kick after suffering a heart attack in 2012. And, as she joined Whoopi Goldberg, Nicole Wallace and Rosie Perez for the new season of the long-running U.S. talk show on Monday, O'Donnell revealed she's still coming to terms with her weightloss.
She said, "I'm not used to it yet. I still buy the wrong-sized clothes... A lot of people who have never had weight issues their whole life would assume that losing weight and going from morbidly obese to being able to buy clothes off the rack would be only full of happiness and positivity, but that's not true. It's also full of anxiety and vulnerability. I'm glad it's going at the rate it is because any faster than this would throw me into a panic."
And the actress revealed she has come to realise why she always felt safe and secure overweight, adding, "Some (people) gain weight as a layer of protection - to keep people away from them. I never wanted someone to want to approach me in a sexual manner because of my physical body and because of child abuse issues. So I think they are all interwoven and they don't exist separately so they come up, and I'm having to put out fires and talk to my therapist and get through it and find a different way to cope with my anxiety and my feelings of PTSD (post-traumatic stress disorder) rather than eating over them."
O'Donnell wasn't the only woman on the new The View line-up who has shed the pounds - returning co-host Goldberg also showed off a slimmer figure, revealing, "I've lost about 35 pounds. I'm using (chef) Rocco DiSpirito's diet book The Pound A Day Diet. And I feel good."
Jon Secada and Ednita Nazario have signed on to perform as part of a tribute to Gloria Estefan when the pop superstar is inducted into the Latin Songwriters Hall of Fame next month (Oct14). The duo will team up to celebrate Estefan at the Ritz-Carlton South Beach ceremony in Miami Beach, Florida on 18 October (14).
Secada will perform hits he has written and co-written for Estefan.
Panamanian songwriter Omar Alfanno, Mexican star Lolita De La Colina and Spain's Rafael Perez Botija will also be feted at the event.

Actress Rosie Perez is reportedly in final talks to serve as a co-host on the upcoming season of U.S. talk show The View. The Do The Right Thing star is hoping to add chat show host to her resume, as she's expected to take the vacant seat left by Jenny McCarthy or Sherri Shepherd, according to Deadline.com.
While Perez, who is also returning to Broadway next year (15) in Larry David's Fish in the Dark play, is no stranger to being in front of the camera, she has only served as a guest co-host on the New York-based daytime talk show once before in February (14).
Also expected to replace the former hosts who left the show in August (14), is political commentator Nicolle Wallace, who previously served as communications director for U.S. President George W. Bush.
If the deals go through, Perez and Wallace will join returning host Rosie O'Donnell and veteran Whoopi Goldberg.
Actress Rosie Perez is set to make a return to the Broadway stage in comedian Larry David's new play, Fish in the Dark. The Do the Right Thing star last appeared on the Great White Way in 2007's The Ritz, and now she will head back in the highly-anticipated production which marks David's Broadway acting debut.
Joining the Seinfeld creator and Perez on stage are theatre veterans Jayne Houdyshell and Jerry Adler, and actors Jonny Orsini and Jake Cannavale, the son of Tony Award nominee Bobby Cannavale.
Fish in the Dark, which is described as a "comedy about a death in the family", will have its opening night at the Cort Theatre on 5 March (15).
Britney Spears acknowledged her now-ex-boyfriend David Lucado's infidelity by slyly joking about the break-up during her Las Vegas concert on Sunday (31Aug14). The Toxic hitmaker revealed she is single again last week (28Aug14), amid rumours suggesting her former beau had been caught on camera dancing and locking lips with a new lady.
And, during her Piece Of Me residency show at Planet Hollywood, Spears appeared to be ready to move on from Lucado as she openly addressed the scandal.
She told the crowd, "Well, by now everyone knows my boyfriend cheated on me. But the best part of breaking up is going on first dates.
"Oh my God, oh my God, I need a hot guy. Where are the hot guys here tonight?"
Spears scanned the audience for a volunteer to come up on stage and she surprised fans by choosing celebrity blogger Perez Hilton from the crowd.
While singing her track Freakshow, a leash was tied around his neck and Spears led him around on all fours like a dog - a stunt she has previously performed with celebrity guests including Lance Bass and Nicole Richie.
Spears began dating Lucado early last year (13), following the breakdown of her engagement to agent Jason Trawick.
Boxer Wladimir Klitschko has been hit with a lawsuit from the wife of a fighter he mentors who suffered extensive injuries following a bout last year (13). Magomed Abdusalamov underwent brain surgery and suffered several seizures following his clash with Mike Perez in New York in November, 2013, and his wife now insists the fight should have been stopped.
She claims Klitschko and his K2 Boxing Promotions company associates delayed getting medical attention to her husband in documents obtained by TMZ.com.
The Ukrainian boxer has filed an insurance claim through his company to cover the costs of any judgements pertaining to the lawsuit, but bosses at the insurance company state there is a clause in their deal with Klitschko which excluded injuries inside the ring.
Bosses at the insurance company have asked a judge to rule in their favour.
