Glee star Jane Lynch's ex-wife Lara Embry is demanding spousal support and attorneys fees as the couple battles to end its three-year marriage. The actress, 53, and Embry separated in February (13), and Lynch filed for divorce earlier this summer (13), asking a judge to terminate the court's jurisdiction to award spousal support to her ex.
Embry's requests for support came in her response, which has been filed in Los Angeles Superior Court.
The couple wed in Massachusetts in May, 2010.
The owners of a cinema in Kentucky are refusing to screen Lee Daniels' The Butler because it briefly features Jane Fonda as Nancy Reagan. Theatre boss Ike Boutwell has told The News-Enterprise newspaper he plans to boycott the film due to the veteran actress' opposition to the Vietnam War, which he trained pilots for.
Lee Daniels' The Butler is currently America's number one movie, but it won't be showing at Boutwell's MoviePalace and Showtime Cinemas in Elizabethtown.
He says, "I trained hundreds of pilots to fly, many of whom Ms. Fonda clapped and cheered as they were shot down."
The cast of Glee have finally been given something to smile about after the death of Cory Monteith - Jane Lynch is to be honoured with the 2,505th star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. The actress will unveil her plaque on Hollywood Boulevard on 4 September (13) and Glee creator/producer Ryan Murphy will help to induct her onto the famous sidewalk.
American Pie star Jennifer Coolidge insists she was perfectly cast as Elizabeth Charming in new comedy Austenland because she grew up watching English period dramas and mimicking the character's airs and graces. The actress plays a brash American attempting to become a posh Brit while on a retreat, designed for fans of author Jane Austen, and she feels she was born for the part.
She explains, "My parents were so weird about what we could watch on TV. The only stuff we could watch was Masterpiece Theatre... I would imitate scenes from Upstairs, Downstairs. I was obsessed with those English accents.
"I don't know if I did that good of a job doing them. That's probably why I got this role! But it was a fantasy to be on one of those big estates and live in those costumes."
And Coolidge admits she fell in love with West Wycombe House in Buckinghamshire, England, where much of Austenland was shot.
She adds, "There are moats. It looks like a set but it's real. I spent the whole movie trying to figure out how I could rent the place for myself and have a party or something there for everyone I knew who would fly to see a place like that."
"Just read Cory Monteith memorial episode. Most beautiful thing. Thank you, (Glee Co-creators) Ryan Murphy, Brad Falchuk, Ian Brennan." Glee star Jane Lynch is moved after reading the script for an upcoming tribute episode for tragic castmember Cory Monteith.
Cory Monteith's death last month (Jul13) has brought the Glee cast closer than ever, according to Jane Lynch. The tragic actor's TV co-stars, including real-life girlfriend Lea Michele, are still in mourning following his overdose death in a Vancouver, Canada hotel room, but Lynch admits the shared grief has made them a very close-knit unit.
She tells Life & Style magazine, "Everyone has gotten really close. We had a great memorial, we had a very private memorial with just the cast and the crew... a fitting tribute to such a wonderful guy. I think that really helped us to start working on this season.
"We miss him very much and there's a big empty trailer that we walk by every day. It's sad, but the wheels keep turning and you just do your job."
"Luckily, in those Regency dresses with the waist right under the bustline, everyone looks sort of pregnant." Keri Russell explains how she hid her baby bump while filming Austenland at seven months pregnant. The actress welcomed her second child, Willa Lou, in December 2011, just months after filming wrapped on the Jane Austen inspired-film.
Actress Lily Tomlin has backtracked on her previous decision not to wed her partner of 42 years, insisting she now wants to walk down the aisle. The 9 to 5 star has been dating writer Jane Wagner since 1971, but despite a change in U.S. law paving the way for same-sex couples to wed, Tomlin claimed organising her big day would be too much hassle.
However, the couple is now considering a union.
Tomlin tells E! Online, "Jane and I have been together for 42 years. We're thinking maybe we'll get married. You don't really need to get married, but marriage is awfully nice. Everybody I know who got married, they say it really makes a difference. They feel very very happy about it."
Tomlin admits she won't be opting for a huge white dress if she does exchange vows with Wagner: "No rings, no bridal dresses. Maybe we'll be dressed like chickens."

All in all, playing a U.S. president in a movie is a far better deal than actually being one. The stress is minimal, the fandom is more likely, and the pay is way better. As such, The Butler has got to be one of the best gigs Hollywood has offered in years: the Lee Daniels drama elects the likes of Robin Williams, James Marsden, Liev Schreiber, John Cusack, and Alan Rickman to play some of America's most formidable 20th century leaders, adding to the long list of men who have portrayed our countries various former Commanders-in-Chief.
In timing with The Butler, we're taking another look at that list in the form of our Presidential Placemat: a commemoration of the great performers who have lead the nation on the big and small screens. Click below for a larger image that celebrates our country's wonderful history... or at least, the wonderful history of movies like Dick and shows like Futurama.
