The reality star has been recovering at home since surgeons performed a two-hour double lumpectomy and removed lymph nodes for biopsy last Wednesday (19Oct11).
But Rancic proved she's bouncing back after going back to her job as an anchor on entertainment programme E! News on Monday (24Oct11).
She tweeted, "Feels so great to be back at work today. The E News set was such a blast & my friends in the newsroom wore pink ribbons 4 me... THANK YOU from the bottom of my heart for your love & support this past week. Your words got me through this more than you'll ever know."
Meanwhile, actress Elizabeth Hurley, a longtime campaigner for breast cancer awareness, has offered her well wishes to Rancic.
The Brit says, "I think it's really hard to find anyone nowadays who doesn't know somebody that's had breast cancer so, to me, it's a phenomenal cause. And obviously I wish the best of luck to Giuliana and I'm glad her treatment went well. I hope she continues to thrive."
The Austin Powers star plays nasty New York media mogul Diana Payne in the fifth season of the hit U.S. TV show opposite Blake Lively, Leighton Meester and Chace Crawford.
Hurley admits some of her character's lines make her squirm, and she finds herself saying sorry to her castmates.
She tells Okmagazine.com, "I kind of feel appalling when I do some of the scenes with the actors because my character is so nasty. Charming to others but really nasty to a few. So I say, 'Oh, I'm sorry'."
The cricketer proposed to the British model/actress in September (11), and they have decided to spend more time getting to know their respective families before they tie the knot.
Warne has three children who live Down Under and Hurley's son Damian goes to boarding school in Britain while she works in New York filming TV show Gossip Girl.
The sportsman admits they face a challenge organising their schedules, but he is determined to make the relationship last.
He tells reporters at a press conference in Sydney, "For me, in my life at the moment, I'm in a really good place. My number one priority is my children and that's the most important thing - and my new family too, Elizabeth and her son Damian, and vice-versa. I'm in a great space personally... and probably the happiest I've ever been... For the first time in my life, I'm really comfortable where I'm at.
"There will be a fair bit of travelling involved but when you've got something that is as special as what Elizabeth and I have, it's worth a bit of a challenging schedule."
Warne also reveals he doesn't think the couple will sign a pre-nuptial agreement before the big day, adding, "I don't think we'll worry about that stuff."
Hurley divorced husband Arun Nayar in June (11), while Warne separated from his wife Simone last year (10).
The Bedazzled star has been a longtime campaigner for breast cancer awareness after losing her grandmother to the disease, and travels the world to urge women to get screened.
But Hurley admits she turns into a nervous wreck every year when it's her turn to visit the doctor for a mammogram.
In a blog post for the Huffington Post, the brunette beauty writes, "For 364 days of the year I can speak and think rationally about breast cancer... But on day 365, I'm in a panic. For on day 365, I get my annual mammogram and, in between the procedure and waiting for the nurse to come back with the result, I get really, really scared.
"In the 20 minutes or so that it takes for the doctor to study the images, my imagination takes me to dark and frightening places and I generally wind myself up into a frenzy. Everything bad flashes through my mind and invariably I end up seeing my little orphaned son crying at my funeral, his mother having lost her fight against breast cancer...
"So far, thank God, this hasn't happened; I have stumbled out of the hospital five times, sobbing with relief, knowing I have a clear mammogram and another year to fight the good fight against the disease. I'm not a victim myself. Yet."
Hurley's article was published to mark October (11) as Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
British model/actress Hurley has joined the cast of Lively's hit TV show Gossip Girl and her young son Damian has been visiting her on set as she films in New York.
Hurley has revealed her co-star offered to take care of the youngster one evening when she was working late and Damian was thrilled.
She tells Britain's You magazine, "Damian is in love with both Blake and (co-star) Leighton (Meester). Over the summer he was on the set the entire time... I was working late one night and Blake asked if she could take Damian out. So she took him on a little date, to an ice cream parlour. That was his first date - Blake Lively."
The Australian sports star proposed to Hurley last month (Sep11) after a whirlwind romance, but the couple has yet to set a date for the wedding.
Hurley has opened up about the romance in a new interview with Britain's You magazine, revealing her son Damian has bonded well with Warne's three children and gushing: "It's a very exciting time for me and Shane."
She adds, "We aren't making any immediate plans to get married - we're going to enjoy being engaged for a while. We both want to spend more time with each other's families, and Damian and I are looking forward to visiting Australia together in the near future.
"It definitely helps that Shane has three children - and he's a very good dad. We both understand that if there's a child's football game one of us can't miss, then that's it, it's not up for negotiation, we go home and do it. I think it would be difficult for me to be with somebody who didn't have kids.
"His children are really beautiful, sweet and affectionate. They get on brilliantly with Damian, and as an only child, it's great for him to have them around when they come to stay. I love having a lot of people in the house - the more the merrier.
"Shane makes me happy. We have a lot of fun together, we laugh a lot and that's very important to me. I couldn't put up with 'serious' for too long."
On Saturday, Russell Brand went on Twitter to complain about how he would have to cancel his show in Canada later that day because customs officials refused to let him into the country. His tweets included remarks such as, "How do you manipulate customs officials? Wasn't Hitler's father a customs officer? I'm pretty sure he was," and later added, "Tonight's Casino Rama show postponed. I'm sorry. I can't enter Canada. We must abolish the borders between our nations AND our minds." Since this wouldn't be the first time he's had problems with customs (this year Japan refused to let him in due to his criminal record) it was easy enough to believe, but it turns out none of this was true -- he was only pulling a prank on everyone. The real reason he was unable to make it to his show was because of mechanical problems with the plane. Casino Rama spokeswoman, Jenna Hunter, made a statement today to The Canadian Press, saying, "I think he's trying to be witty about the whole thing, but it really was just a plane issue, it wasn't a customs issue at all." Although I wouldn't blame them if there was a customs issue the next time he tried to visit Canada. Now that would be funny. - THR
James Marsden is back to living the single life. His wife, Lisa Linde, has officially filed for divorce from the dreamy actor, citing irreconcilable differences. A rep for Marsden stated, "This was a mutual decision. They are committed to raising their kids together and remain great friends." The couple married in 2000 and have two children together: Jack, 10, and Mary, 6. - US
On a happier note, Elizabeth Hurley and Shane Warne are now engaged. Apparently he popped the question while having dinner at Dunhill in St. Andrews. A rep for the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship put out a press release, stating, "Shane Warne has confirmed his engagement to actress Elizabeth Hurley after proposing at the Alfred Links Championship." Shane made it clear though that this was not made a public event and took to Twitter, explaining, "I didn't propose in front of 200 people at dinner. It was done privately and was very romantic -- if I say so myself. Ps left knee is sore!!!" Congratulations to the happy couple! - People
Rumours surfaced on Saturday (01Oct11) that Warne had asked the Bedazzled actress to be his wife during dinner at a posh hotel in Scotland in the packed restaurant.
Hurley confirmed the couple is engaged on Sunday (02Oct11), but Warne denies getting down on one knee in front of an audience.
On his Twitter.com page, he writes, "Thanks so much again for all your kind messages, they mean a lot. I didn't propose in front of 200 people at dinner. It was done privately and was very romantic - if I say so myself. Ps (my) left knee is sore !!!"
