Beyonce's father Mathew Knowles is convinced speculation that her marriage to Jay Z was on the rocks was created to boost ticket sales for their joint tour.
The couple was hit with split rumours during its On The Run trek, which began in June (14), and neither of the stars spoke publicly to defend their six-year marriage or deny the reports.

He tells Texas radio station 104.1 KRBE, "I know, because we've done this from experience. There's a tour going on, so you sometimes have to ignite that tour. It's called a Jedi mind trick. The Jedi mind trick fools you a lot at time."
Mathew Knowles also alludes to the infamous elevator bust-up between Jay Z and his sister-in-law Solange Knowles in May (14), adding, "All I know is the Jedi mind trick. Everyone's talking about it. Ticket sales went up. Solange's album sales went up 200 per cent!"

Kanye West has opened up about his relationship with the paparazzi, revealing his father once worked as a celebrity snapper and the rapper often counts on photographers to help him with everyday tasks.
He reportedly made the admission during a deposition as part of a legal battle with photographer Daniel Ramos, who is suing the star over a scuffle at Los Angeles International Airport last year (13). During his testimony, obtained by Dailymail.co.uk, West insists he has a special connection to the paparazzi because his father Ray West, who was a photojournalist for The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, was once one of them.
He says, "My father was a paparazzo himself. My father was a medical illustrator, a Black Panther, a Christian marriage counsellor. My mother was the first black chair of the English department in Chicago State. They didn't raise me to be out here wrestling with random paparazzi in front of LAX." West goes on to insist he trusts some snappers enough to get in a car with them, and they often help him out with parking and avoiding traffic tickets.
He adds, "Sometimes I get in the car with the paparazzi. Paparazzi help me to park. The paparazzi watch my car and makes sure that cops don't give me tickets (sic). There are some nice guys out here trying to just feed their family."
The Stronger hitmaker also reveals he was in an emotional state at the time of the bust-up with Ramos as he had just found out his grandfather was seriously ill.
West was convicted of battery for attacking Ramos, but insists he did not mean to hurt the snapper. He was sentenced to two years of probation, anger management sessions, and 250 hours of community service.

Bieber took to Twitter.com minutes after the run-in and lashed out at eager photographers, writing, "There should be laws against what I just experienced. We should have learned from the death of Princess Diana.
"I don’t have a problem with Paparazzi but when they act recklessly they put us all in danger."
The accident comes just one day after the singer was allegedly involved in a confrontation at a new Dave & Buster’s restaurant in Los Angeles.

Actor Channing Tatum is relieved it took director Bennett Miller eight years to bring psychological thriller Foxcatcher to fruition, because he was not ready to tackle such a dark project so early on in his career.
Miller began developing the film back in 2006 and tapped the then-little-known 21 Jump Street star to portray real-life U.S. Olympic gold medallist Mark Schultz in the movie, which is based on the wrestler's autobiography, detailing how he was taken in by eccentric multi-millionaire and convicted murderer John Eleuthere du Pont to train for the 1988 Olympics.
Tatum admits he almost turned down the job at the time because he wasn't in the right place mentally to get his head around the meaty role. He tells New York Magazine, "I didn't know what to think. I didn't know what I was doing, I didn't know how to read scripts, I didn't know anything about acting, and the way Bennett talked about this wildly dark character (du Pont, played by Steve Carell) weirded me out a little bit, to be honest with you. "I was super young, and I just didn't get it. In a way, I think, thank God it didn't come to fruition then, because I don't know what it would have turned out to be."
The film, which had become a passion project for Miller, suffered a series of writing and producing setbacks, but when the moviemaker was ready to return to work on Foxcatcher, he touched base with Tatum once more after briefly considering approaching the likes of Ryan Gosling and the late Heath Ledger for the part of Schultz.
Tatum, 34, explains, "I'd probably gone through a lot of growing in those years as well. We got to talking about Foxcatcher again, and this time, I felt ready to go down this dark road." Foxcatcher premiered at the Cannes Film Festival in France in May (14) to high praise, with audience members giving the movie a six-minute standing ovation and earning Miller the Best Director award at the prestigious event.
It is due for release in November (14).
Singer Ellie Goulding has taken the charity ice bucket challenge to a whole new level by daring British royal Prince Harry to take part.
The Lights hitmaker has a connection to the heir after singing at his brother Prince William's wedding to Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge in 2011, and she hopes to convince him to join celebrities all over the world who have taken the plunge for the ALS Association.
Goulding reveals her manager turned down the challenge following her nomination, so she has called out Prince Harry to take his place. In a post on Twitter.com, she writes, "So my manager isn't going to do the ice challenge (but donate) so I renominate Prince Harry. Who told me with enough peer pressure..."
The challenge is raising money to battle ALS, also known as Lou Gehrig's disease and motor neurone disease. Harry has a personal connection to the cause as his aunt, Anne, Princess Royal, is a patron of Britain's Motor Neurone Disease Association.
Stars including Gwyneth Paltrow, Lindsay Lohan, Tom Cruise, Justin Bieber and Lady Gaga have all doused themselves in ice water over the last few days to raise money for the charity.
Madonna was forced to digitally cover up a topless pal after falling foul of snap-sharing website Instagram's bare-breasted nipple ban while posting shots from her 56th birthday on Sunday (17Aug14). The pop superstar celebrated with a 1920s-themed bash at a villa in Cannes, France and uploaded photos of her hanging out with friends like Guy Oseary and Kate Moss - but one saucy shot featuring Madonna posing with a topless pal landed her in trouble.

She added the caption, "Instagram can take away our nipples but they cant (sic) take away our fun!"
The singer also posted a vintage topless pic of herself on Instagram, but she escaped upsetting website chiefs because her nipple was blocked by a glowing light.
Madonna may also have upset her ex-husband Guy Ritchie by posting a shot of their son Rocco from the party and joking, "Jeff Spicoli is alive and well in the South of France", suggesting the teenager looks like her first husband Sean Penn, who portrayed Spicoli in Fast Times at Ridgemont High.
