Actor Ian Somerhalder came to the defence of his girlfriend Nikki Reed after receiving negative comments about the Twilight actress online.
Over the weekend (ends07Sep14), two of the Vampire Diaries star's fans decided to use his Instagram.com comments section as a forum to bash his new girlfriend, Reed. Instead of dismissing the negative banter, Somerhalder wrote back to the fans in a lengthy online rant, telling them, "You HATE NIKKI REED? Really? Do you know her? Hmmmm, I'm not sure that you do. Look on her Instagram feed or twitter and all you will see is a compassionate and beautiful human being. Please put your negative energy elsewhere. You don't even know the person you're talking about."
He added, "Do you care about me? Ask yourself that question. What's the answer? Is it yes? If it is - then please be happy for me. Stop this nonsense - you're spreading horrible energy into the world. "Do some research of the person you say sucks or you HATE. You'll find that she's a magical person doing great things in the world. "I'm sickened and saddened by the fans' response to all this. Many fans have stood up people like you and tried to empower you with some compassion. If we all thought a little or learned a little about people before we spoke about them, the world wouldn't be so upside down and in the worst place in history. If you hate Nikki then you must hate me...That's sad. Have an amazing day!"
Somerhalder and Reed sparked romance rumours in July (14) after they were photographed spending a weekend together in Los Angeles.
Reed filed for divorce from former American Idol contestant Paul McDonald in May (14), and Somerhalder previously dated his TV co-star Nina Dobrev.
Actor Ian Ziering had such a tough time with freezing temperatures while shooting Sharknado 2: The Second One in New York he was often left speechless in scenes. The actors and the crew filmed the movie in 18 days in March (14) and the Beverly Hills, 90210 star reveals he had a hard time articulating his lines because of how cold it was in the city.
He says, "That was challenging because... there wasn't a day over 32 degrees. There was one where we were shooting over at Citi Field and it was four degrees...
"I had to talk, but my face started to freeze. I had to stand in front of a heater to warm up my cheeks before I would speak because literally I would get there and I just couldn't move my lips. It was brutal."
Actor Ian Ziering proved he is still fit at 50 by showing off his buff body in his comeback show with the Chippendales in Las Vegas on Saturday night (14Jun14). The Beverly Hills, 90210 star stripped off for fans at the Rio All Suite Hotel and Casino in Sin City with the male dance troupe for the first time last year (13), and he returned to the stage on Saturday.
Ziering will whip off his clothes for packed crowds until July (14), and he admits he's had to work hard to keep his body in shape as he starts his 50s.
He tells the Las Vegas Sun, "You have got to take care of yourself as you age. That's a given. You have the body you deserve. If you treat it well, take care of yourself and focus on health and fitness, you will be equipped to adapt to change and to capitalise on opportunity.
"When I started thinking that way, that revelation just opened up the world for me. Being 50 is great. It's none of the things I thought it would be when I looked at it through 20-year-old eyes."
98 Degrees singer Jeff Timmons and Baywatch's Jeremy Jackson have also both previously joined the strippers for a Las Vegas residency.
"I've seen clips... It's tough to watch... Any couple that started with good intentions goes through these rollercoaster rides. It's tough to just know about it, but to see it, it just makes it all the more painful. I have a tremendous amount of love for Tori and I'm sad." Tori Spelling's former Beverly Hills, 90210 co-star Ian Ziering on this old pal's marriage issues, which are currently playing out on her reality TV show True Tori.
Richard Curtis is the undisputed king of rom coms. As the writer and director behind films like Love, Actually, Four Weddings and a Funeral and Notting Hill, he's dedicated career to exploring love and its complications in all facets of life. With this latest film, About Time, he goes in a slightly different direction, by fusing the traditional rom com with time travel and a story about the lifelong relationship between father and son. That son is Tim (Domhnall Gleeson), who finds out from his father (Bill Nighy) that the men in his family have the ability to travel through time. As any good Curtis-ian hero would do, he then uses his power to woo Mary (Rachel McAdams), the love of his life.
We sat down with Curtis to discuss the film, the challenges of casting Gleeson, and why About Time is the perfect film for him to end his directorial career on.

"When I read the script and I saw that I would be chainsawing my way out of the belly of a shark, I had to do this. I need to show my kids and my grandkids that their father, their grandfather... chainsawed his way out of a shark." Former Beverly Hills, 90210 star Ian Ziering on his hero role in hit TV movie Sharknado.
Tara Reid and Ian Ziering's new monster-mutation movie Sharknado took Twitter.com by storm on Thursday night (11Jul13) as fans and critics alike turned the TV film into an unlikely phenomenon. The SyFy channel disaster epic, in which former Beverly Hills, 90210 star Ziering and Reid turn heroes to defend Santa Monica, California from a series of shark-filled tornadoes, became an instant hit thanks to fans on the micro-blogging site.
Hashtag #Sharknado became a top trending topic early on Friday (12Jul13) as those who watched the movie took to Twitter to comment on the film - and even serious actress Mia Farrow was part of the fun. She tweeted photos of herself watching Sharknado, writing, "WHAT. IS. HAPPENING."
Olivia Wilde confessed she had recorded the film, and other celebrities who took to Twitter to comment on the disaster film included Michael Chiklis and former 30 Rock star Judah Friedlander, who wrote, "If Ian Zeiring (sic) is not in a shark movie. It's not a good shark movie."
Castmembers of hit U.S. TV show Beverly Hills, 90210 reunited in Las Vegas on Sunday (30Jun13) to cheer on Ian Ziering during his final performance with the Chippendales male dance troupe. If you’ve never seen Pretty Wild, the short-lived E! reality series starring Bling Ring member Alexis Neiers, you are missing out. And if you've never seen the footage of Neiers attempting to leave an angry voicemail for Vanity Fair reporter (on whose article the film The Bling Ring is based) Nancy Jo Sales., you shoulddo so immediately immediately.
Since Emma Watson hits it out of the park with her portrayal of a character based on Neiers in The Bling Ring, we thought about who we would like to see play other famous (or infamous) reality TV personalities in movies about their lives. Who could act out the craziness of the Kardashians? Which actors could take on the beards of the Duck Dynasty guys? And who should play Snooki? Click on the gallery below to check out our choices.
