Beatles icon Ringo Starr has become the unlikely new face of famous footwear brand Skechers. The veteran rocker will front the fashion firm's new Relaxed Fit Footwear campaign, becoming the first musician to promote the shoe line, following in the footsteps of former American football stars Joe Montana and Joe Namath.
In a statement, Skechers bosses say, "Ringo possesses the charm, cool charisma and instant global recognition that will elevate awareness for our popular Relaxed Fit footwear collection. Ringo is not only a music icon, but also a style icon and is the perfect ambassador to illustrate how our footwear helps keep you relaxed in any situation."
Starr, who also modelled for a recent John Varvatos menswear campaign, joins the likes of Demi Lovato and British actress Kelly Brook as spokesmodels for Skechers, which previously boasted Christina Aguilera and Britney Spears as brand representatives.
Fashion mogul Dame Vivienne Westwood has been accused of plagiarising parts of her self-titled memoir. A writer alleges large sections of one of his works have been lifted and passed off as Westwood's own in her book, which was co-written with biographer Ian Kelly.
Paul Gorman claims 29 passages from his 2001 book The Look: Adventures in Rock and Pop Fashion were copied without the proper credit, and he is suing for damages and demanding an apology.
He tells Britain's The Independent newspaper, "I greatly admire Vivienne's achievements but she has been let down badly by her publisher by this sloppy book."
Westwood has also come under fire from Sex Pistols frontman John Lydon over a section in which she claims to have come up with the idea for the band's iconic track Anarchy in the U.K.
He tells the publication, "The silly cow is claiming she had the idea for Anarchy? What a f**king liberty. That's audacity of the highest order. Go back to making frocks."
The book is also believed to be riddled with spelling mistakes and factual errors.
The Office ended May 16, 2013. That might only be a year and a half ago, but with fall TV in full swing, The Office fans can feel the show's presence missing from our lives. Can't they just reunite and make new episodes already? Every other show/movie is getting redone or sequels or put on Netflix, why not skip the waiting period and do it now?
1. This show taught us amazing life lessons, like that you can be both feared and loved.
2. We also learned this very useful bit of advice about mistletoe.
3. The show gave us aspirations that we could do more than just sit in an office.
4. Kelly Kapoor is the reason we know what to say to sound smart.
5. And Michael broke the very important news over who loves pizza.
6. Kevin taught us all what dreams really are.
7. Our inner child smiled when Dwight used this insult we've been throwing at our friends since we could read.
8. This show introduced u s to a new National holiday.
9. They gave us hope to one day create such an amazing holiday card with our own co-workers.
10. Characters like Jim created places no one ever knew they wanted, but once we heard of them, we needed them.
11. But speaking of Jim, The Office also showed us that office romances can bloom into the most powerful and amazing things in the world.
12. The show gave us the perfect insult for Negative Nancys.
13. It also reminded us there are too many people on this planet.
14. Prison Mike let everyone know why we should never wind up in prison.
15. Stanley gave everyone a new life motto.
16. Jim and Dwight gave us very tough decisions. Did we love Jim as Dwight?
17. Or Dwight as Jim, more?
18. And honestly, is TV really even funny anymore if people aren't force-feeding Kevin vegetables?

The 90's are here to stay (even though it's 2014) so we might as well embrace it! If you're struggling with who to be for Halloween this year, might I make a few suggestions based on some of the most popular icons that emerged in the world's favorite decade?
If you're going out in a group:
If you've got even more people, don't forget about Kimi, Susie, or Dil! Hell, you should even have someone dress up as Reptar so you can ride around on their back all night.
If you've got a few more guys than girls in your group, the Recess crew is perfect for you. Or, if you actually have a very even amount. You could go as the gang AND The Ashleys.
Saved By the Bell
Goes as just the guys, go as just the girls, go as Kelly and Zach, or the whole group...you've got a lot of different options when it comes to this Bayside High group.
For extra bonus points on creativity, you can go as Helga and carry around a gum shine to Arnold.
If you've got extra time on your hands, make sure you frost your tips AND figure out how to attach strings to your costumes, so someone can be your puppeteer all night.
If you don't dress up in these white suits, will anyone even know who you are? No, they won't. So don't mess it up!
You could also potentially wear scrubs and spend the whole night singing about them and we're sure everyone would get the gist.
Whoever get's to be Posh has the easiest time since they only have to wear a black dress.
You have a few options of which version of Destiny's Child you'd like to go as.
If you're going out with just your besties:
Princesses - Belle, Pocahontas, and Mulan are all 90's girls.
As Mulan you can go as war-hero-Mulan, deciding-her fate-Mulan, or you could just skip Mulan and go as her match maker.
You can be the inventor's daughter or you can be Beast's love interest here.
There is only one way to dress up as Pocahontas and that's by being a total bad ass.
The Fresh Prince of Bel Air
Either go as Will or Carlton, but just make sure you and your best friend are both doing the Carlton all night long.
If you and your friend are super indifferent and don't really care about the holiday, but have to dress up, these two are pretty ideal choices.
Cher and Dionne are still the coolest best friends to dress as, obviously since Iggy gave them a shout out in "Fancy."
Dumb and Dumber
Being Harry and Lloyd is time friendly since the sequel is coming out this year!
If you're going out with your significant other:
GIPHY/20th Century Fox
You will pretty much win any and every costume contest if you're willing to carry a door around with you two all night and show everyone how Jack and Rose both can fit on it.
GIPHY/Buena Vista Pictures
If you're just looking for an individual costume idea:
Buffy the Vampire Slayer
If you see any Edward Cullen's while you're partying, you do have a right to stake them.Braveheart
If you do dress as William Wallace, you are required to give a very impassioned, drunk speech at whatever party you're at.Jurassic Park
You can either roll out with your crew as John Hammond, with his awesome cane, or you can carry around a spoonful of green Jell-O all night.
Is there anyone you think should have also been on this list? Tweet us your thoughts!

Hollywood actor John Travolta gave up writing his memoirs following the death of his son. The Pulp Fiction star and his wife Kelly Preston were devastated by the loss of 16-year-old Jett, who died in 2009 after suffering a seizure at the family's home in the Bahamas.
Travolta has now revealed he put his life on hold after the tragedy, and even scrapped the book he was working on.
He tells Britain's The Independent newspaper "After my son passed, I was not in the mood for sharing my life. It was a good book, but I just decided to stop.”
Travolta currently has no plans to revive the project.

John Travolta has dismissed allegations suggesting he enjoyed a steamy gay affair with his former pilot, insisting all of his supposed former lovers are simply chasing a big pay day.
The Grease star is currently fighting legal action from Douglas Gotterba, who is seeking to write a tell-all book about an alleged romance with the actor, which he claims took place while he was working for the star's Alto aircraft company in the 1980s. Travolta has long been subjected to speculation over his sexuality, despite being married to actress Kelly Preston since 1991, and he is convinced Gotterba's reasons for going public with his accusations are simply rooted in money - just like his previous accusers.
He tells TheDailyBeast.com, "This is every celebrity's Achilles heel. It's just about people wanting money. That's all. It happens on many levels."
But Travolta, 60, refuses to get himself worked up over the unfounded gossip. He continues, "Other people may attack it back (sic) more than I do, but I let all the media stuff go a long time ago because I can't control it. I think that's why it (gay rumours) persists, to some degree."
Travolta previously hit headlines in 2012 after he was slapped with three separate suits for sexual battery, which were all subsequently withdrawn.
Neil Patrick Harris' son Gideon shunned his role as ring bearer at the actor's wedding to David Burtka in favour of becoming an "orange boy". The How I Met Your Mother star and his partner Burtka wed in a castle in Perugia, Italy over the weekend (06-07Sep14) and they decided to give their three-year-old twins special roles in the ceremony.
However, Gideon was not happy holding the rings and instead chose to hand out oranges to guests at the nuptials.
Sharing the news with viewers on U.S. morning show Live with Kelly & Michael on Monday (08Sep14), TV presenter Kelly Ripa, who was a guest at the event, explained, "(Daughter) Harper was going to be the flower girl and Gideon was going to be the ring bearer, and he said, 'I don't want to be the ring bearer!' And they said, 'OK, well, what do you want to be?' And he said, 'I want to be the orange boy.' And he passed out oranges to everybody as he came down the aisle...!
"He came up with it (the role) on his own. He had his little tux and his top hat and he was passing out oranges."
Ripa continued, "Later on, during the night, we were dancing (and) I said to him, 'Look, Gideon, I saved your orange because I'm going to keep it forever.' And he goes, 'Oh, you shouldn't! It's so delicious!'"
Ripa went on to reveal the "beautiful family affair" also included magic tricks, fireworks and a special toast from close friends Sir Elton John and his husband David Furnish, who acknowledged the progress made in the global fight for equal rights for lesbian and gay couples.
She added, "(They) got up and said, 'You know, many, many years ago, this would not be possible. We're so thankful and grateful to everybody for supporting us and our families, and how our children (John and Furnish's sons and Harris and Burtka's kids) have each other to sort of look to each other as another example of a family like ours and how the definition of a family is changing, always.'"
Elton also thrilled guests by performing during the reception.
Celebrities including Whoopi Goldberg, Johnny Depp and Hugh Jackman have paid tribute to veteran comedienne Joan Rivers following her death on Thursday (04Sep14). The legendary funnywoman, 81, died at New York's Mount Sinai Hospital after she was removed from life support following a cardiac and respiratory arrest on 28 August (14).
Her daughter Melissa announced that her mum passed away just after 1pm local time, and celebrities have been paying tribute to Rivers ever since.
Fellow comedienne and longtime pal Whoopi Goldberg took to Twitter.com to share her condolences, and wrote, "My friend Joan Rivers has passed away once again to quote Billy Crystal... There are no words. Bon Voyage Joan."
News of Rivers' death comes weeks after Goldberg also paid tribute to another close friend, Robin Williams, who died last month (Aug14).
Australian actor Jackman lauded Rivers' comedic presence and wrote, "We lost one of the true originals today. Joan Rivers. A force. You will be missed," while Depp called her "An Amazing Individual", and Mel Brooks wrote, "Joan Rivers never played it safe. She was the bravest of them all. Still at the top at the end. She will be sorely missed."
Other tributes from Zoe Saldana and British comedian Ricky Gervais hit Twitter, and rocker Ozzy Osbourne thanked the late comic for being kind to his daughter Kelly - Rivers' co-host on TV show Fashion Police. He wrote, "Not only was Joan a comic genius, she was an amazing woman. Thank you for always having Kelly’s back. You will always be a legend. RIP."
Celebrities also brought levity to the tragedy of her death, recalling catty remarks Rivers had made about them on awards show red carpets. Actress Anna Kendrick said, "Being publicly told that my dress is hideous will never feel quite as awesome. You will be truly missed", singer Demi Lovato added, "RIP Joan Rivers... You made fun of my boobies just last week and it was an HONOR," and pop star Katy Perry joked, "What's the point of wearing all these dumb costumes if Joan's not here to rip them apart? RIP Joan Rivers. You are a one of a one."
Former Charmed star Rose McGowan recalled that "Joan once said I looked like a whore," and Evan Rachel Wood shared a similar sentiment, and remembered, "She once said I looked like I needed a trip to the VD (venereal disease) clinic..." before adding, "The day I was ridiculed by Joan Rivers for the way I looked was the day I felt like i made it in Hollywood."
Girls star and creator Lena Dunham even poked fun at Rivers' self-depricating extensive plastic surgery, and quipped, "I told (comedian Marc) Maron I'd have a zinger when Joan died. But I didn't think she ever would. She felt eternal, and anyway, zingers are her territory. That being said, Joan is gone but a piece of her lives on: her nose, because it's made of polyurethane."
A plethora of comedians also shared their praise for Rivers, including Kathy Griffin, Roseanne Barr, Ellen DeGeneres, Sarah Silverman, Chris Rock, Cedric the Entertainer, Wanda Sykes, Arsenio Hall, Tim Allen and Kevin Hart, as well as celebrities like Sarah Jessica Parker, Bette Midler, Boy George, Samuel L. Jackson, Nancy Sinatra, La Toya Jackson, Martha Stewart, Naomi Campbell, Brad Paisley, Alec Baldwin, Josh Groban, Maria Shriver, Simon Pegg, William Shatner, Ariana Grande, Vanessa Williams, Julianne Moore and John Stamos.
Harry Potter star Brendan Gleeson is set to play a crime-solving paraplegic in writer/director John Michael Mcdonaugh's next movie. The Irish star will reteam with his Calvary director for The Lame Shall Enter First.
McDonaugh tells WENN, "It's about a spectacularly abusive paraplegic. Brendan will be in a wheelchair going around in South London. He hates anyone who's able bodied, so he basically hates the entirety of society.
"I've been thinking about (Calvary actress) Kelly Reilly for the psychiatrist who tries to get the guy's life back on track and fails. It will be a dark comedy with a kind of crime element to it, because he tries to get his life in order by solving the murder of one of his disabled friends because he believes the police aren't investigating it properly because the guy was disabled.
"I stole the title from a Flannery O'Connor short story."
Funnyman Denis Leary is returning to TV as a fallen rock star. The Ice Age regular's new series Sex&Drugs&Rock&Roll has been picked up by executives at U.S. cable network FX, who aired his acclaimed firefighter drama Rescue Me.
In the series, Leary will play character Johnny Rock, who is attempting to reform the band that fired him in the early 1990s after he slept with their partners.
John Corbett, Elizabeth Gillies, Elaine Hendrix and Bobby Kelly will co-star, and Leary reveals his Rescue Me colleague Peter Tolan is playing his gay stepfather, stating, "I know what you're thinking: 'Isn't Peter just a few years older than Denis?' In fact, we are the same exact age. I'm just prettier."
Sex&Drugs&Rock&Roll will premiere on FX in 2015.
