Humphries was named the 2004 Big Ten Freshman of the Year and named to the All-Big Ten First Team. He was made an Honorable Mention All-American by both the Associated Press and Rivals.com. He played there for two seasons before being traded to the Toronto Raptors in 2006, where he helped the team nab its first ever division title. However, in 2009 Humphries was traded to the Dallas Mavericks. The following year he was once again traded, this time to the then New Jersey Nets.
The year 2010 proved to be a big one for Humphries in several ways. Not only did he start to see success with the Nets, but he also began dating Kardashian. As a result, he often popped up on the E! network show, "Keeping Up with the Kardashians" (2007- ). The following year, they were engaged. On Aug. 20, 2011, the two were married after a much publicized media flurry. On Oct. 31, 2011 Kardashian filed for divorce. Many talking heads accused the marriage of being a sham and a publicity stunt. Their divorce was finalized in June 2013. Shortly thereafter, Humphries was traded to the Boston Celtics.
